“FORTUNATELY, WE (OBAMA’S) HAVE HELP FROM THE MEDIA”

—Michelle Obama to CNN via Real Clear Politics

CNN reporter, “How’s the family ready for this [the election]? It’s going to be quite vicious, isn’t it? How do you prepare for that?”

Mrs. Obama, “You know, it’s … we’re ready, you know. Our children, you know, could care less about what we’re doing. We work hard to do that. Fortunately, we have help from the media. I have to say this: I’m very grateful for the support and kindness that we’ve gotten. People have respected their privacy and in that way, I think, you know, no matter what people may feel about my husband’s policies or what have you, they care about children and that’s been good to see.”

“Did Bristol Palin get plastic surgery?”

“Fortunately, we have help from the media. I have to say this: I’m very grateful for the support and kindness that we’ve gotten. People have respected their privacy and in that way, I think, you know, no matter what people may feel about my husband’s policies or what have you, they care about children and that’s been good to see.”

Bristol Palin has reportedly banned her mother Sarah from her new house in Maricopa because she is too controlling – and too conservative.

“Fortunately, we have help from the media. I have to say this: I’m very grateful for the support and kindness that we’ve gotten. People have respected their privacy and in that way, I think, you know, no matter what people may feel about my husband’s policies or what have you, they care about children and that’s been good to see.”

Andrew Sullivan, The Atlantic: But the noise around this story is now deafening, and the weirdness of the chronology sufficient to rise to the level of good faith questions. So please give us these answers – and provide medical records for Sarah Palin’s pregnancy – and put this to rest.

“GOVERNMENT SPONSORED RACISM”

Of course the city is Chicago. Of course the appointment was made by the new mayor, Rahm Emanuel; a man of enormous capacity but no character. Of course the newly appointed police superintendent, Garry McCarthy, would make his explosive charge of “government sponsored racism” in St. Sabina’s, the parish of Father Pfleger.

No, you’re not getting video here. The rant against the “racism written into the Second Amendment” went on for more than five hours. It is not the Welfare State that is responsible for the destruction of inner city culture, is the racism of the Second Amendment. It is not the rampant pushing of illegal drugs that is responsible for the destruction of inner city culture, is the racism of the Second Amendment. It is not the 130 years of corruption that is responsible for the destruction of inner city culture, is the racism of the Second Amendment. It is not the the hate preached in Black Liberation pulpits that is responsible for the destruction of inner city culture, is the racism of the Second Amendment.

We already know that, if we think the fruits of our own labor belong to us, we are racists. So now we are lectured that if you believe in the Second Amendment you also are a racist.  Here are a few pulls from the five hour incoherence of a very nasty man:

  • “So here’s what I want to tell you. See, let’s see if we can make a connection here. Slavery. Segregation. Black codes. Jim Crow. What, what did they all have in common? Anybody getting’ scared? Government sponsored racism.”
  • “Now I want you to connect one more dot on that chain of the African American history in this country, and tell me if I’m crazy. Federal gun laws that facilitate the flow of illegal firearms, into our urban centers across this country, that are killing our black and brown children.”
  • “The NRA does not like me, and I’m okay with that. We’ve got to get the gun debate back to center, and it’s got to come with the recognition of who’s paying the price for the gun manufacturers being rich and living in gated communities,”

WHY DO THEY HATE MICHELE BACHMANN? IT IS ALL ABOUT JESUS!

Someone named Matt Teibbi found what is wrong with Michele Bachmann. She believes in Jesus. The left, the Democrats, the Obamedia are not usually as forthright as Teibbi about their hate of Jesus Christ but rest assured they all do. Here is some of what Teibbi wrote:

“Bachmann is a religious zealot whose brain is a raging electrical storm of divine visions and paranoid delusions. . . .

That simply means she loves Jesus.

“But don’t laugh. Don’t do it. And don’t look her in the eyes; don’t let her smile at you. Michele Bachmann, when she turns her head toward the cameras and brandishes her pearls and her ageless, unblemished neckline and her perfect suburban orthodontics in an attempt to reassure the unbeliever of her non-threateningness, is one of the scariest sights in the entire American cultural tableau. She’s trying to look like June Cleaver, but she actually looks like the T2 skeleton posing for a passport photo. You will want to laugh, but don’t, because the secret of Bachmann’s success is that every time you laugh at her, she gets stronger. . .

Would a plain woman who loves Jesus be celebrated? Silly me, of course not.

“Young Michele found Jesus at age 16, not long before she went away to Winona State University and met a doltish, like-minded believer named Marcus Bachmann. After finishing college, the two committed young Christians moved to Oklahoma, where Michele entered one of the most ridiculous learning institutions in the Western Hemisphere, a sort of highway rest area with legal accreditation called the O.W. Coburn School of Law; Michele was a member of its inaugural class in 1979. . . .

“Doltish,” get that?

“This background is significant considering Bachmann’s leadership role in the Tea Party, a movement ostensibly founded on ideas of limited government. Bachmann says she believes in a limited state, but she was educated in an extremist Christian tradition that rejects the entire notion of a separate, secular legal authority and views earthly law as an instrument for interpreting biblical values. As a legislator, she not only worked to impose a ban on gay marriage, she also endorsed a report that proposed banning anyone who “espoused or supported Shariah law” from immigrating to the U.S. (Bachmann seems so unduly obsessed with Shariah law that, after listening to her frequent pronouncements on the subject, one begins to wonder if her crazed antipathy isn’t born of professional jealousy.) . . .

The story now becomes a rather complete summary of the leftist libel hurled at Michele and her family in Minnesota for a decade and a half.

“Moving back to Minnesota, she and Marcus settled in Stillwater, a town of 18,000 near St. Paul, where they raised their five children and took in 23 foster kids. Stillwater is a Midwestern version of a Currier & Ives set piece, complete with cozy homes, antique stores — and no black people. In short, the perfect launching pad for a political career built on Bachmann’s retro-Stepford image. Stillwater’s congressional district is the whitest district in Minnesota (95 percent) and one of the wealthiest in America (with a median income $16,000 above the national average). . . .

“—no black people.” Apparently one must locate in a community with “black people” to avoid liberal slurs.

“To combat this dark outcome, Bachmann joined up with a Junior Anti-Sex League-type outfit called the Maple River Education Coalition, which was largely composed of Christian conservatives rallying against educational standards. The group met in a church, and its sessions resembled old-time religious revivals, complete with whooping and hollering. “There were enormous amounts of ‘amens,'” recalls Mary Cecconi, a Stillwater resident who attended an early meeting of Maple River. “It’s like a mission from God with those people.” Maple River was so out there that Minnesota’s then-governor, Jesse Ventura, no slouch in the batshit-conspiracy department, dismissed the group as nothing but a bunch of people who “think UFOs are landing next month.” . . .

Get that? “The group met in a church.”

“Bachmann’s obsession with gay culture led her to bizarre behavioral extremes. In April 2005, after the State Senate refused to even vote on her constitutional amendment, she hid in the bushes outside the State Capitol during a gay-rights rally. A photo shows Bachmann, only the top of her Stepford head visible, crouched alone in an extreme catcher’s squat behind the Capitol shrubbery. She later insisted she wasn’t hiding at all, but resting because her heels hurt. . . .”

Finally, this was, perhaps, the crowning lie of the deviant loving Minnesota left.

Read this long piece in Rolling Stone. It clearly reveals the abject hatred by the left of all things Christian.

RIGHTONLINE 2011: VIDEO AND MORE

This report is two days late but it is very important. More than 1500 of us participated.

Many, like me, attended to learn ways to become more effective as we work to restore Liberty. But, there was so much more. RightOnline 2011 is a project of Americans for Prosperity. I have become a fan.  Here is a picture of the opening session that includes me (run down the front row to the white haired man—9th person):

The conference was loaded with inspiration, direction and focus provided by many of America’s top leaders as we work towards restoration. Because the wonderful folks at RightOnline 2011 have made most of this available to you, I’ll only post my friend, Presidential Candidate Michele Bachmann’s inspiring speech here:

Go to RightOnline 2011 for all the great video including Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, Governor Tim Pawlenty and Herman Cain.

There is much more—go explore it all.

McELHINNEY: THE LEADING VOICE OF TRUTH, GOODNESS AND THE AMERICAN WAY—EXPOSING ENVIRONMENTALIST WRONGS

The most fabulous mess of a speaker I’ve ever run across.” —John Fund

One of the absolute joys of the RightOnline 2011 conference was Ann McElhinny. She does not limit her fury towards societal destruction by environmentalists, she stands against every form of the Liberty hating left. I still do not have that powerhouse speech we heard here in Minneapolis on You Tube. Please have the pleasure of Ann’s “fabulous mess” here.

THE DEMON IS A MOB AND THE MOB IS DEMONIC: DEMONSTRATED IN MADISON

The theory in Ann Coulter’s new book, Demonic is that the

leftist mob is the instrument of demons. She proves the theory with a historic account going back more than a half century before Karl Marx himself to the French Revolution. The Madison Wisconsin mob continued proving Coulter’s theory dating back to February. As the Wisconsin Legislature passed the Budget Reform Act (60-38 in the House and 19-14 in the Senate), the mob Thursday carried on but, in many ways it is only a shell of its original self. Here is a 6 minute Althouse summary:

WHAT A FRIEND: ALGORE SET TO HELP KEEP MITT FRONTRUNNER

Or, One of Mitt’s Top Five Challenges With Me and Other Rational Thinkers Seeking to Fundamentally Restore America.

(H/T Rush) This From Politico:

Al Gore praises Mitt Romney on climate

Mitt Romney on Wednesday got a big thumbs up for his stance on global warming from a source that likely won’t help him at all in the GOP primary: Al Gore.

The former vice president and Nobel Prize winner praised Romney for not heeding right-wing calls to reject the science behind climate change.

“Good for Mitt Romney — though we’ve long passed the point where weak lip-service is enough on the Climate Crisis,” Gore wrote on his blog. “While other Republicans are running from the truth, he is sticking to his guns in the face of the anti-science wing of the Republican Party.”

Earlier this month, Romney told a New Hampshire town hall meeting that he believes climate change is happening and that man-made emissions are a cause.

“I don’t speak for the scientific community, of course, but I believe the world is getting warmer, and I believe that humans have contributed to that,” Romney said. “I can’t prove that, but I believe based on what I read that the world is getting warmer.

“No. 2, I believe that humans contribute to that,” he continued. “I don’t know how much our contribution is to that, because I know there’s been periods of greater heat and warmth than in the past, but I believe we contribute to that. And so I think it’s important for us to reduce our emissions of pollutants, of greenhouse gases, that may well be significant contributors to the climate change and global warming that you’re seeing.”

Clarifications:

  • In this context, the term “scientist” always means, “Social Scientist.”
  • “Nobel Prize winner” is a term created to eternally bind AlGore, Jimmy Carter, Yasser Arifat, Barak Obama and others similarly flawed.
  • Unfortunately, Governor Romney’s statement needs no clarification.
