“’Bin Laden is Killed,’ headlines blanketed the world, a few days ago. Many rejoiced and felt justice was served while a few mourned the mass murderer’s demise. Celebration and mourning aside, the fact is that the death of one demon does not mark the end of the evil of Islamism. In the same way that it is in the nature of swamps to breed mosquitoes, Islam is the incubator of jihadist mass murderers.”
Got that? As “. . . it is the nature of swamps to breed mosquitoes,” it is the nature of Islam to breed jihadi murderers. Islam is the swamp. Islam is the source of the evil. We must drain the swamp. We must replace the evil with God given life, love, and liberty. The other choice is the Minnesota model.
I live in the Minneapolis St. Paul area of Minnesota. We spend a great deal of public money here. We are about to unleash the annual arsenal of some $17 million on the MMCD—the Metropolitan Mosquito Control District. You see, we have mosquitoes—lots of mosquitoes. Why? It is because we have lots of swamps. We have big swamps. We have little swamps. Actually we don’t call them swamps. We call them wetlands. Swamps, of course, wouldn’t be good. Wetlands are very good. Wetlands are so good we protect them! Drain a wetland (also called nontidal marshes, prairie potholes, wet meadows and other romantic names) here and you’re in trouble.
While we are very ($17 million/year) proud to be protectors of swamps from farmers and developers, for example, we will not live with mosquitoes. The same is true for terrorism. If we continue our self-delusion that Islam is harmless, we and our posterity will live with the cost (life, treasure and freedom) of jihad, terrorism and encroaching Shariah. Again, the only sane choice is to confront the evil Imani so clearly identified and aggressively promote the other course of love, life, and liberty.
