NUMBER 1 CAROL IN AMERICA—AT LEAST IN THE LAST SEVERAL DECADES

That would be, “Joy To The World!”

The earliest version was written nearly 300 years ago by Englishman, Isaac Watts based on the 98th Psalm. The current adaptation is more than 100 years old. Don’t worry that some political correctness has now crept in such as “all employ” instead of “men employ” but, don’t let anyone change “The Lord is come” to “The Lord has come.”

Let’s get in the spirit of joy immediately with Chip Davis and the Manheim Steamroller in concert. Magnificent!!

Of course you want to sing along. Here are the words and a straightforward “Worship Video” perfect for singing along.

Joy to the world! The Lord is come; Let earth receive her King; Let every heart prepare him room, And heaven and nature sing, And heaven and nature sing, And heaven, and heaven, and nature sing.

Joy to the world! the Savior reigns; Let men their songs employ; While fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains Repeat the sounding joy, Repeat the sounding joy, Repeat, repeat the sounding joy.

No more let sins and sorrows grow, Nor thorns infest the ground; He comes to make His blessings flow Far as the curse is found, Far as the curse is found, Far as, far as, the curse is found.

He rules the world with truth and grace, And makes the nations prove The glories of His righteousness, And wonders of His love, And wonders of His love, And wonders, wonders, of His love.

Go ahead, start the video and join in. do it now!
