—Or, the story of “Keith Ellison’s Qur’an” and a tribute to the memory of American war hero, Green Beret Ted L. Sampley

The phrase, “millions for defense, but not one cent for tribute,” refers to paying the Barbary Coast Islamists of the 18th century for not killing and plundering Americans trading in the Mediterranean. The phrase was used by Federalist Congressman Robert Goodloe Harper arguing against “tribute” in a 1795 debate. Six years later, Jefferson made it famous as he went to War against the Islamists jihadists.

Here is the compelling story told wonderfully by American hero, Ted Sampley. He perfectly frames it in the ironic link between Jefferson and Ellison. The story in its entirety.

 

 

 

 

 

 

What Thomas Jefferson learned
from the Muslim book of jihad

Democrat Keith Ellison is now officially the first Muslim United States congressman. True to his pledge, he placed his hand on the Quran, the Muslim book of jihad and pledged his allegiance to the United States during his ceremonial swearing-in.

Capitol Hill staff said Ellison’s swearing-in photo opportunity drew more media than they had ever seen in the history of the U.S. House. Ellison represents the 5th Congressional District of Minnesota.

The Quran Ellison used was no ordinary book. It once belonged to Thomas Jefferson, third president of the United States and one of America’s founding fathers. Ellison borrowed it from the Rare Book Section of the Library of Congress. It was one of the 6,500 Jefferson books archived in the library.

Ellison, who was born in Detroit and converted to Islam while in college, said he chose to use Jefferson’s Quran because it showed that “a visionary like Jefferson” believed that wisdom could be gleaned from many sources.

There is no doubt Ellison was right about Jefferson believing wisdom could be “gleaned” from the Muslim Quran. At the time Jefferson owned the book, he needed to know everything possible about Muslims because he was about to advocate war against the Islamic “Barbary” states of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Tripoli.

Ellison’s use of Jefferson’s Quran as a prop illuminates a subject once well-known in the history of the United States, but, which today, is mostly forgotten – the Muslim pirate slavers who over many centuries enslaved millions of Africans and tens of thousands of Christian Europeans and Americans in the Islamic “Barbary” states.

Over the course of 10 centuries, Muslim pirates cruised the African and Mediterranean coastline, pillaging villages and seizing slaves.

The taking of slaves in pre-dawn raids on unsuspecting coastal villages had a high casualty rate. It was typical of Muslim raiders to kill off as many of the “non-Muslim” older men and women as possible so the preferred “booty” of only young women and children could be collected.

Young non-Muslim women were targeted because of their value as concubines in Islamic markets. Islamic law provides for the sexual interests of Muslim men by allowing them to take as many as four wives at one time and to have as many concubines as their fortunes allow.

Boys, as young as 9 or 10 years old, were often mutilated to create eunuchs who would bring higher prices in the slave markets of the Middle East. Muslim slave traders created “eunuch stations” along major African slave routes so the necessary surgery could be performed. It was estimated that only a small number of the boys subjected to the mutilation survived after the surgery.

When American colonists rebelled against British rule in 1776, American merchant ships lost Royal Navy protection. With no American Navy for protection, American ships were attacked and their Christian crews enslaved by Muslim pirates operating under the control of the “Dey of Algiers”–an Islamist warlord ruling Algeria.

Because American commerce in the Mediterranean was being destroyed by the pirates, the Continental Congress agreed in 1784 to negotiate treaties with the four Barbary States. Congress appointed a special commission consisting of John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin, to oversee the negotiations.

Lacking the ability to protect its merchant ships in the Mediterranean, the new America government tried to appease the Muslim slavers by agreeing to pay tribute and ransoms in order to retrieve seized American ships and buy the freedom of enslaved sailors.

Adams argued in favor of paying tribute as the cheapest way to get American commerce in the Mediterranean moving again. Jefferson was opposed. He believed there would be no end to the demands for tribute and wanted matters settled “through the medium of war.” He proposed a league of trading nations to force an end to Muslim piracy.

In 1786, Jefferson, then the American ambassador to France, and Adams, then the American ambassador to Britain, met in London with Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja, the “Dey of Algiers” ambassador to Britain.

The Americans wanted to negotiate a peace treaty based on Congress’ vote to appease.

During the meeting Jefferson and Adams asked the Dey’s ambassador why Muslims held so much hostility towards America, a nation with which they had no previous contacts.

In a later meeting with the American Congress, the two future presidents reported that Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja had answered that Islam “was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Quran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman (Muslim) who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise.”

For the following 15 years, the American government paid the Muslims millions of dollars for the safe passage of American ships or the return of American hostages. The payments in ransom and tribute amounted to 20 percent of United States government annual revenues in 1800.

Not long after Jefferson’s inauguration as president in 1801, he dispatched a group of frigates to defend American interests in the Mediterranean, and informed Congress.

Declaring that America was going to spend “millions for defense but not one cent for tribute,” Jefferson pressed the issue by deploying American Marines and many of America’s best warships to the Muslim Barbary Coast.

The USS Constitution, USS Constellation, USS Philadelphia, USS Chesapeake, USS Argus, USS Syren and USS Intrepid all saw action.

In 1805, American Marines marched across the desert from Egypt into Tripolitania, forcing the surrender of Tripoli and the freeing of all American slaves.

During the Jefferson administration, the Muslim Barbary States, crumbling as a result of intense American naval bombardment and on shore raids by Marines, finally officially agreed to abandon slavery and piracy.

Jefferson’s victory over the Muslims lives on today in the Marine Hymn, with the line, “From the halls of Montezuma, to the shores of Tripoli, We fight our country’s battles in the air, on land and sea.”

It wasn’t until 1815 that the problem was fully settled by the total defeat of all the Muslim slave trading pirates.

Jefferson had been right. The “medium of war” was the only way to put and end to the Muslim problem. Mr. Ellison was right about Jefferson. He was a “visionary” wise enough to read and learn about the enemy from their own Muslim book of jihad.

In this war, George Bush said to the nations of the world, “Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists.” But this is not a “war on terror.” It is not a decision only for nations. It is a decision for every church and synagogue. It is a decision for every person. This is more than a war for Western Civilization. Call it a holy war. Specifically, it is spiritual warfare. It rages now in Powers and Principalities, it is reflected on earth. You are in this holy war.  You are either on the side of Christ and light or you are on the side of Islam and darkness. There are no sidelines and there are no spectators.

The effort in Egypt to destroy Christ by fire

The Muslim Brotherhood post-Mubarak Arab Spring Egyptian military government has unleashed a burn-a-church-a-day policy. There were eight million Copt Christians in Egypt. Their Exodus has already begun. We can only speculate how long it will take this evil to snuff out the remaining points of light in this new Egyptian sea of Islamic darkness.

The evil Muslim Brotherhood gets it. Their motto:

“Allah is our objective; The Prophet is our leader; Qur’an is our law; Jihad is our way; Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.”

The “Five Pillars” of the Qur’an, you know.

This jihad to destroy Christianity (and Judaism) is not limited to Egypt. It is a universal characteristic of Islam wherever it is in power.  A survey this week by Caroline Glick in the Jerusalem Post (Via the Center for Security Policy) tells the stark story.

The Forgotten Christians of the East

On Sunday night, Egyptian Copts staged what was supposed to be a peaceful vigil at Egypt’s state television headquarters in Cairo. The 1,000 Christians represented the ancient Christian community of some 8 million whose presence in Egypt predates the establishment of Islam by several centuries. They gathered in Cairo to protest the recent burning of two churches by Islamic mobs and the rapid escalation of state-supported violent attacks on Christians by Muslim groups since the overthrow of former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak in February.

According to Coptic sources, the protesters Sunday night were beset by Islamic attackers who were rapidly backed up by military forces. Between 19 and 40 Copts were killed by soldiers and Muslim attackers. They were run over by military vehicles, beaten, shot and dragged through the streets of Cairo.

State television Sunday night reported only that three soldiers had been killed. According to al-Ahram Online, the military attacked the studios of al-Hurra television on Sunday night to block its broadcast of information on the military assault on the Copts.

Apparently the attempt to control information about what happened worked. Monday’s news reports about the violence gave little indication of the identity of the dead or wounded. They certainly left untold the story of what actually happened in Cairo on Sunday night.

In a not unrelated event, Lebanon’s Maronite Catholic Patriarch Bechara Rai caused a storm two weeks ago. During an official visit to Paris, Rai warned French President Nicolas Sarkozy that the fall of the Assad regime in Syria could be a disaster for Christians in Syria and throughout the region. Today the Western-backed Syrian opposition is dominated by the Muslim Brotherhood. Rai cautioned that the overthrow of President Bashar Assad could lead to civil war and the establishment of an Islamic regime.

In Iraq, the Iranian and Syrian-sponsored insurgency that followed the US-led overthrow of Saddam Hussein’s Baathist regime in 2003 fomented a bloody jihad against Iraq’s Christian population. This month marks the anniversary of last year’s massacre of 58 Christian worshippers in a Catholic church in Baghdad. A decade ago there were 800,000 Christians in Iraq. Today there are 150,000.

Under the Shah of Iran, Iran’s Christians were more or less free to practice their religion.

Today, they are subject to the whims of Islamic overlords who know no law other than Islamic supremacism.

Take the plight of Yousef Nadarkhani, an evangelical Protestant preacher who was arrested two years ago, tried and sentenced to death for apostasy and refusal to disavow his Christian faith. There is no law against apostasy in Iran, but no matter. Ayatollah Khomeini opposed apostasy. And so does Islamic law.

Once Nadarkhani’s story was publicized in the West the Iranians changed their course.

Now they have reportedly abandoned the apostasy charge and are sentencing Nadarkhani to death for rape. The fact that he was never charged or convicted of rape is neither here nor there.

Palestinian Christians have similarly suffered under their popularly elected governments.

When the Palestinian Authority was established in 1994, Christians made up 80 percent of Bethlehem’s population. Today they comprise less than 20% of the population. 

Since Hamas “liberated” Gaza in 2007, the area’s ancient Christian minority has been under constant attack. With only 3,000 members, Gaza’s Christian community has seen its churches, convents, book stores and libraries burned by Hamas members and their allies. Its members have been killed and assaulted. While Hamas has pledged to protect the Christians of Gaza, no one has been arrested for anti-Christian violence.

JUST AS the Jews of the Islamic world were forcibly removed from their ancient communities by the Arab rulers with the establishment of Israel in 1948, so Christians have been persecuted and driven out of their homes. Populist Islamic and Arab regimes have used Islamic religious supremacism and Arab racial chauvinism against Christians as rallying cries to their subjects. These calls have in turn led to the decimation of the Christian populations of the Arab and Islamic world.

For instance, at the time of Lebanese independence from France in 1946 the majority of Lebanese were Christians. Today less than 30% of Lebanese are Christians. In Turkey, the Christian population has dwindled from 2 million at the end of World War I to less than 100,000 today. In Syria, at the time of independence Christians made up nearly half of the population. Today 4% of Syrians are Christian. In Jordan half a century ago 18% of the population was Christian. Today 2% of Jordanians are Christian.

Christians are prohibited from practicing Christianity in Saudi Arabia. In Pakistan, the Christian population is being systematically destroyed by regime-supported Islamic groups. Church burnings, forced conversions, rape, murder, kidnap and legal persecution of Pakistani Christians has become a daily occurrence.

Sadly for the Christians of the Islamic world, their cause is not being championed either by Western governments or by Western Christians. Rather than condition French support for the Syrian opposition on its leaders’ commitment to religious freedom for all in a post-Assad Syria, the French Foreign Ministry reacted with anger to Rai’s warning of what is liable to befall Syria’s Christians in the event President Bashar Assad and his regime are overthrown. The Foreign Ministry published a statement claiming it was “surprised and disappointed,” by Rai’s statement.

The Obama administration was even less sympathetic. Rai is now travelling through the US and Latin America on a three week visit to émigré Maronite communities. The existence of these communities is a direct result of Arab and Islamic persecution of Lebanese Maronite Christians.

Rai’s visit to the US was supposed to begin with a visit to Washington and meetings with senior administration officials including President Barack Obama. Yet, following his statement in Paris, the administration cancelled all of its scheduled meetings with him. That is, rather than consider the dangers that Rai warned about and use US influence to increase the power of Christians and Kurds and other minorities in any post- Assad Syrian government, the Obama administration decided to blackball Rai for pointing out the dangers.

Aside from Evangelical Protestants, most Western churches are similarly uninterested in defending the rights of their co-religionists in the Islamic world. Most mainline Protestant churches, from the Anglican Church and its US and international branches to the Methodists, Baptists, Mennonite and other churches have organized no sustained efforts to protect or defend the rights of Christians in the Muslim world.

Instead, over the past decade these churches and their related international bodies have made repeated efforts to attack the only country in the Middle East in which the Christian population has increased in the past 60 years – Israel.

As for the Vatican, in the five years since Pope Benedict XVI laid down the gauntlet at his speech in Regensburg and challenged the Muslim world to act with reason and tolerance it its dealing with other religions, the Vatican has abandoned this principled stand. A true discourse of equals has been replaced by supplication to Islam in the name of ecumenical understanding. Last year Benedict hosted a Synod on Christians in the Middle East that made no mention of the persecution of Christians by Islamic and populist forces and regimes. Instead, Israel was singled out for criticism.

The Vatican’s outreach has extended to Iran where it sent a representative to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s faux counter terror conference. As Giulio Meotti wrote this week in Ynet, whereas all the EU ambassadors walked out of Ahmadinejad’s Holocaust denying speech at the UN’s second Durban conference in Geneva in 2009, the Vatican’s ambassador remained in his seat. The Vatican has embraced leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood in Europe and the Middle East.

It is unclear what either Western governments or Western churches think they are achieving by turning a blind eye to the persecution and decimation of Christian communities in the Muslim world. As Sunday’s events in Egypt and other daily anti-Christian attacks by Muslims against Christians throughout the region show, their behavior is not appeasing anyone. What is clear enough is that they shall reap what they sow.

THE AUTUMN OF 1492: ADMIRAL CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS, SERVING CHRIST HIS LORD, CHANGED THE WORLD

Here’s how:

ONE

He opened the way for Western Civilization and the Name of Christ into what he called “this second part of the earth.” The endowment of the Greek-Roman civilization to Western Europe and the great gift of light, Christianity, made the western hemisphere profoundly superior to anywhere else on earth.

TWO

He immediately changed the lives of the Indians on “San Salvador” for ill as well as good. The good is apparent. The Taino, while peaceful, had no culture of their own. They lived off the land much as any animal. They suffered from the plunder of their neighbors, the Caribs to the south and east and the Mayan to the west. This changed for these Taino.

The ill? Disease. Neither the Taino or the Europeans had antibody resistance. It was several years before the Spanish brought small pox to San Salvador. This deadly disease ravaged the Taino and beyond. In return, the Spanish, who followed Columbus, received and spread throughout Europe new deadly forms of venereal disease.

THIRD

He led the way to a land (America) which would one day provide the first welcome haven to the Jewish people. You see, after Ferdinand and Isabella defeated and permanently expelled the Islamist Moors, they Commissioned and financed Columbus, a profoundly good thing. But they matched that with an equal in evil—they expelled the Jews. It is called the inquisition.

Christopher Columbus received his commission about January 1, 1492. He would need about eight month to obtain and fit his three vessels and build his crews. In early May, the decree if the Spanish Inquisition was published. All Jews had three months to leave Spain.

As the tide began to turn, he was rowed out to the ship where his men waited, and assumed his first command crisply and confidently. In moments, and “in the name of Jesus,” the Santa Maria had weighed anchor, set sail, and was gliding down the river with the ebbing tide. As they reached the place where the Tinto joined the Saltés, just before emptying into the Ocean, a last shipload of Jews was also waiting for the tide. They too were leaving now, bound for the Mediterranean and lands of Islam. It is doubtful they thought of one another beyond a routine log entry. And even if they had, none of that forlorn shipload of Jewish exiles could have dreamed that the three other ships on the river were leading the way to a land which would one day provide the first welcome haven to their people.

Christopher Columbus is one of the few transformational figures in history. There can be no doubt the work he set out to accomplish August 3, 1492 was indeed work for the cause of Christ.

THE CHICKIFICATION OF THE NFL, THE NFLPA, AND ESPN

Hank Williams, Jr.—not fit; Madonna—fit.  

Hank Williams, Jr. was fired by ESPN for comparing President Obama to Adolf Hitler on Fox News’ Fox and Friends, October 2, 2011.

Williams, of course, never compared President Obama to Hitler, Not one time. What he did is provide an analogy expressing the incongruity of John Boehner playing golf with President Obama.

For Hank, the scene was as hard to imagine as Prime Minister Netanyahu playing a round with Hitler. So Hank is out. Do you think there is any chance ESPN fired Hank without counseling with the NFL’s Roger Hedrick and the NFLPA’S Obama man, DeMaurice Smith? Not a chance.

Madonna, of course is reportedly headed for the Super Bowl halftime show. The NFL, NFLPA, AND network television have no problem with her. Here she is:

Of course we all know the American icon—the man who showed us, “The Way Things Ought To Be,” Rush Limbaugh is not fit for an association with the NFL, NFLPA, and their contractual TV networks. Serena Williams, on the hand “fits” right in with the Miami Dolphins ownership. Her foul outburst at the 2011 U.S. Open women’s tennis final was not her first. Here she is before receiving her NFL seal of approval:

HIZB-UT-TAHRIR CHICAGO DECLARATION: ISLAM IS THE TOP U.S. ENEMY

Hizb-ut Tahrir was formed to establish the universal Sunni Caliphate.

Working secretly in the United States for several years, Hizb-ut Tahrir emerged publically  

 in 2009 Follewed with their 2011 Conference in Chicago this past June. This report from The Investigative Project on Terrorism is outstanding.

A radical Islamist group which claims a presence in nearly 50 countries is so confident it can help establish a global Muslim government – or caliphate – that it distributed a draft constitution during a recent conference outside of Chicago.

It calls for the death penalty for apostates and for creating a government department dedicated to jihad.

The latest Hizb ut-Tahrir (HT) gathering drew more than 300 people to a DoubleTree Hotel ballroom June 26.

HT is an international movement to establish a global Islamic state, or caliphate (Khilafah). Although it is officially committed to nonviolence, HT preaches a virulent brand of hatred for the United States, and for Western democracy in general. Its alumni include such violent Islamists as Khaiid Sheikh Mohammad, mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, and the late Iraqi jihadist Abu Musab Zarqawi. Hizb ut-Tahrir has been described as a “conveyor belt” of terror.

At the conference, activists portrayed Islam as the only real force in the world standing up to the United States and the West. With Soviet communism gone, the West is now confronted with the threat posed by Islam, said a speaker identified as Reza Imam. He has served as a spokesman for the organization.

“And they see the return of Islam,” he warned. “And this, brothers and sisters, is the shaking [of] the thrones.” Islam’s foes “see the coming revival of Islam, and they know what that means and they know what it means for their policies,” Imam said.

At the conference, HT activists distributed a brochure detailing how the Muslim state would be governed. The document is “to be studied by Muslims while they are working to establish the Islamic State that will carry the Islamic da’wah (proselytizing) to the world,” it says. The document would govern “the Islamic State in the Islamic world” and does not target individual countries.

The pamphlet, entitled “Khilafah State Structure: Introduction to the Constitution,” contains charts illustrating how a caliphate government would function along with a draft constitution.

“Those that are guilty of apostasy (murtad) from Islam are to be executed according to the rule of apostasy, provided they have themselves renounced Islam,” says Article 7. Moreover, “if they are born as non-Muslims, i. e., if they are the sons of apostates, then they are treated as non-Muslims according to their status as being either polytheists (mushriks) or People of the Book.”

The caliphate government would establish an “Internal Affairs Department” which would include a division of “Apostasy.”

Waging jihad would be a top priority for the government. The caliphate cabinet includes a senior-level “Private Secretary” for jihad. The “Military Department” – which appears to be a cabinet-level agency –would be headed by a “Field Marshall,” who appoints a “Director of Jihad,” his second in command. Included within the Treasury department would be something called a “Department of Jihad.”

The Treasury would be divided into two divisions: one handling revenue, which includes a “War booties Agency,” and the other covering expenditures, which includes both a “Dept. of Jihad” and a “Director of Jihad Office” on its organizational chart. Read it all.

Clearly our United States Government is watching these very dangerous and very committed jihadists. We must also watch them. We must defeat them. We must actively follow the One whose trumpet never sounds defeat. We must be warriors.

JESSE VENTURA: I AM—HAVE TO BE—THE POLITICAL FACE OF THIS MOVEMENT

“I have to be the political face of this movement,” said Former Minnesota governor and conspiracy theorist, Jesse Ventura, “The basic definition of Fascism is when Corporations team with organized religion to control the government.”

What did Minnesota’s former governor volunteer his Political face for?

That would be SEIU, ACORN, other labor unions and “community organizers.” That would be the socialist Working Families Party.

That would be SEIU board member and organizer, Thug Stephen Lerner. According to Matthew Vadim at FrontPageMag.com, Learner is:

. . . One of the boldest labor thugs in America today. . . . a crafty economic terrorist who manages to sound like a folksy self-improvement seminar leader while he explicitly calls for the overthrow of capitalism.

That would be ACORN founder Thug Wade Rathke who left ACORN in 2008 amidst corruption and scandal.  

Other Unions include the UAW, described by their President, Bob King, as “a movement for social and economic justice for everyone in society.”

Then there is the core organization behind “U.S. Days of Rage, Occupy Wall Street,” The Democrat Party subsidiary, the Working Families Party.

Face, meet your thug body. Thug body, meet your face.

Ann Coulter’s new book. The sub-title:

HOW THE LIBERAL MOB IS ENDANGERING AMERICA

Coulter began her book with the story when Jesus encountered demons that talked to him using a possessed man’s tongue. Before Jesus cast the demons out into a herd of hogs, He asked, “What is your name?” The demon answered, “My name is Legion for we are many.” (Mark 5:1-9)

“The demon is the mob and the mob is demonic,” Coulter begins—the mob of the French revolution for example.

“The Democratic (sic) party is the party of the mob,” she charges, “irrespective of what the mob represents.”

This is billed as a “peaceful demonstration” and somewhat more honestly “non-violent civil disobedience.  Instruction is being offered based on the curriculum developed for ACTUP.  What could possibly go wrong? Do their graphics convey peace? You decide:

It seems it is not just to be at Wall Street. It is also Washington, D.C. and opportunities offered in virtually every State.  Who is behind this? You will not learn at the US DAYS OF RAGE Site (linked above). My research reveals SEIU and ACORN, or more precisely, Stephen Lerner, SEIU International Executive Board, and ACORN founder Wade Rathke,  are the core organizers. Learner is reported to have aspirations to destroy JP Morgan Chase and cause the collapse of the entire stock market. (No thought apparently for Union pensions.) Well, what could be more peaceful and non-violent than that?

This will come dramatically on the heals of Labor Day and the 10th anniversary of the 911 attack on America. Let’s get ready.

After much prayer and serious consideration, I have decided that I will not be seeking the 2012 GOP nomination for President of the United States. As always, my family comes first and obviously Todd and I put great consideration into family life before making this decision. When we serve, we devote ourselves to God, family and country. My decision maintains this order.

My decision is based upon a review of what common sense Conservatives and Independents have accomplished, especially over the last year. I believe that at this time I can be more effective in a decisive role to help elect other true public servants to office – from the nation’s governors to Congressional seats and the Presidency. We need to continue to actively and aggressively help those who will stop the “fundamental transformation” of our nation and instead seek the restoration of our greatness, our goodness and our constitutional republic based on the rule of law.

From the bottom of my heart I thank those who have supported me and defended my record throughout the years, and encouraged me to run for President. Know that by working together we can bring this country back – and as I’ve always said, one doesn’t need a title to help do it.

I will continue driving the discussion for freedom and free markets, including in the race for President where our candidates must embrace immediate action toward energy independence through domestic resource developments of conventional energy sources, along with renewables. We must reduce tax burdens and onerous regulations that kill American industry, and our candidates must always push to minimize government to strengthen the economy and allow the private sector to create jobs.

Those will be our priorities so Americans can be confident that a smaller, smarter government that is truly of the people, by the people, and for the people can better serve this most exceptional nation.

In the coming weeks I will help coordinate strategies to assist in replacing the President, re-taking the Senate, and maintaining the House.

THINK OUT OF THE BOX—CHANGE THE WORLD

It was 1983. Our company brought our key people from around America to a strategic development meeting at a Colorado resort. We brought Mike Vance, the “Think Out of the Box” guy to address our group. Vance, who had an impressive prior track record, had been the key design executive for Disney World and The Magic Kingdom. Mike, no longer with Disney, was bringing his “Think Out of the Box” message to businesses. This later developed into the “Creative Thinking Association of America.”

We had him for a half day. For us, that was a long time on our schedule for an outsider. Vance had a reputation as a fast talker. He didn’t disappoint. Yes, Vance did speak at 180-200 words per minute. Far more importantly, every word had value.

Mike told the story of of the only company that hired him to speak to their key people for a week. At the first break, the first morning, Mike stepped off the platform and engaged a young man, in the front row, dressed very casually (sandals on bare feet). “You’re the first person I’ve seen take notes with two hands. Why do you do that?” Mike asked. “Because you talk so fast,” the man replied. “But, you have these teenagers in here,” Mike pressed. “Because they think so well,” came the quick retort. “But you have old people, well beyond retirement—why?” “Because they know so much.”

Well, who are you and what do you do?” Vance asked. “I own the company, my name is Steven Jobs.”

Steven Jobs died yesterday at age 56. He changed —no, fundamentally transformed— the way the world communicates. Here he is communicating at his best.

“GREETINGS FELLOW PATRIOTS” IS THE WAY THIS BEGAN ONE YEAR AGO TODAY

Our first post was . . . well, let’s just repost it with comments here and there.

My name is Richard Johnson. This is my new Blog. The purpose is to join the people —patriots— of America in our hard job. We are now engaged in our responsibility to restore America and Liberty itself. And our Shining City on a Hill will grow in full brilliant light for the world and for our children and grandchildren.

We slept for awhile thinking we could just let Sam do it. But while we slept, “Identity Groups” came along and convinced Sam it was his duty to take from us (We The People) and give our assets and America itself to them.

HE WORKS FOR US!

But America is not Uncle Sam’s. America and our unalienable rights were given to “We The People,” not Uncle Sam. The Constitution (Sam’s DNA) says he works for us —not the other way around. So for the next weeks our task is to focus on the 2010 election.

(We certainly did!)

There is a trumpet blowing. Listen and receive this charge:

FUEL YOUR ENERGY FOR THESE NEXT FEW DAYS

Washington and the governing class do not comprehend “We The People” as the repository of power in America. To them we only exist as identity groups. They see the Tea Party activists as a new identity group and a threat (racists, you know). But the Tea Party activists are us. Look at it like this:

Thomas Sowell calls the governing class “The Anointed” and, in the eyes of The Anointed, “We The People” are “The Benighted.” (Limbaugh calls us the “country class.”) The governing class simply cannot see us.

Just two years ago, many of us, including most tea party activists were asleep. We sleep no more. The anointed cannot see us because we are individuals spread throughout most identity groups. We even exist right among the Anointed. Their Worldview will not allow them to see the ice below water. Go back and study the images. They see the Tea parties and add them to the existing “right wing” activist groups and bloggers. They do not comprehend what is coming at them. We are eight (8) times the “visible” Tea Party Activists.

WITH GOD’S HELP, WE WILL CHANGE THE CONGRESS THIS NOVEMBER. LET US MAKE THAT DECISION TODAY.

(What a great job we did. It was a fine start.)

WITH GOD’S HELP, WE WILL RESTORE LIBERTY AND RESTORE AMERICA’S PROMISE.

Remember, we each must do what we can this day – pray; work; communicate —send people to The Liberty List online; contribute to campaigns.
