A report Thursday from the Congressional Research Service (CRS) establishes that we have the largest endowment of combined technically recoverable natural gas, oil and coal on Earth right here in the United States. The report estimates that the U.S. has 163 billion barrels of recoverable oil. That’s is about 8 times more than President Obama admits.
Russia comes in second with recoverable fossil fuel reserves, followed by Saudi Arabia, China, Iran and Canada.
The CRS report is being made public at a time when oil and gas prices are skyrocketing and the Department of Interior is embroiled in a battle with oil companies over offshore drilling. Last week, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar and Michael Bromwich, Director of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement, appealed a court decision that ordered them to act on five pending drilling permits.
President Obama’s press conference Friday naturally dealt with energy. The CRS Report was not mentioned. Instead Obama intentionally misled (lied) the American people. Here, in part, is what he said:
All these actions can increase domestic oil production in the short and medium term. But let’s be clear: It is not a long-term solution. Even if we started drilling new wells tomorrow, that oil isn’t coming on-line overnight. And even if we tap every single reserve available to us, we can’t escape the fact that we only control 2 percent of the world’s oil, but we consume over a quarter of the world’s oil.
“Proven reserves” is a widely used term that never informs and always misleads. In countries like Saudi Arabia “proven reserves” is whatever the government ministry says they are. But in the United States, “proven reserves” is a “term of art,” defined by the Securities and Exchange Commission. Find the U.S. definition of “proven reserves:” in this a 2010 CRS report:
Proved reserves. The quantities of hydrocarbons estimated with reasonable certainty to be commercially recoverable from known accumulations under current economic conditions, operating methods, and government regulations. Current economic conditions include prices and costs prevailing at the time of the estimate. Estimates of proved reserves do not include reserves appreciation.
We must learn to always use the legal term, “technically recoverable oil” as was reported Thursday. Remember the number is 163 barrels. In addition, we have 1,162.7 trillion cubic feet of undiscovered technically recoverable natural gas and 261 billion short tons of technically recoverable coal. (This should be plenty of comfort for you Prius fans.) We indeed have a magnificent “Energy Endowment.” It fits right with “life, Liberty and the Pursuit of happiness.”

The citizens of Wisconsin and their representatives courageously took the first step. Governor Walker signed the landmark legislation into law Friday. That there are miles to go for them doesn’t matter. They are on their way. The “Ship Wisconsin” is under the firm hand and clear mind of Governor Scott Walker.
Right along with Wisconsin is Ohio. Ohio has been offered a plan to, not just balance the State budget but to return to economic competitiveness. Kasich’s job may be tougher than Walkers. If it is easier, it is only because Wisconsin was first.
Governor Kasich gave his State of the State address this past week. Read these portions of his remarks to get your mind around the size of Ohio’s challenge:
Before we begin to talk about what we need to do, I need to spend a little bit of time and talk about the problems we have in this state. We have to recognize the difficulty we have before we understand the challenge and why we need to meet the challenge of our difficulties.
Folks, we’ve lost 600,000 jobs in the last 10 years. Let’s think about this: Only California, which has completely lost its way, and Michigan, which has been devastated by the auto industry, have lost more jobs. Only California and Michigan have fared worse than our beloved Buckeye State. And, of course, we’ve lost more than 400,000 jobs over these last four years. Things have been accelerating. As a result, we have experienced unacceptable levels of poverty and homelessness.
I can remember during the campaign going to Ashtabula County and having a young girl walk up to me and say, Mister, please don’t tax my eggs. I go door to door and this is how I make a living. Please, Mister, don’t break my business. You don’t forget that.
Young people, you know, our kids and our grandkids are leaving this state for better opportunities. One-third of Ohio college graduates are leaving this state within three years of graduating. Our best and our brightest, our seed corn, have decided that they need to go somewhere else to realize their hopes and dreams. That’s a terrible situation.
Too many of our successful entrepreneurs flee the state to escape high taxation. And what I would say to all of you, Republicans and Democrats alike, you talk to those folks that have moved to Naples and you ask them why they have left. And they will tell you because they get a better deal. They get to keep more of what they have earned in their lifetime. And when they leave, we lose their money.
You know, that’s one thing. We lose the jobs, we lose their entrepreneurial spirit, we lose their ingenuity. See, they’re the ones that can see the future. They’re the ones that can take ideas from the back of their head and translate it into something that can change Ohio, change America and change the world, and they’ve been leaving. And now they take their charitable giving and they give it to a faraway place to maybe build an opera house in Naples, Florida, rather than helping to rebuild the opera house in our small communities across Ohio. . . .
. . .To my friends here, we cannot tax our way to prosperity. We’re one of the highest taxed states in America, and we’re not competitive. You get these calls from — from companies saying we’re thinking about going, we can’t make a profit here, we can’t make the numbers work. Well, Ohio has been under siege and not just from India and China. And, oh, yes, we live in a global world, and they’re looking every day to take our simple products and move them overseas. And I want all of you to know that I have told one Chinese delegation after another that we don’t like the fact that you manipulate your currency, we do not like the fact that you don’t play on a level playing field when you trade with us, and it will stop. And we will be a strong voice in Ohio to make sure we get our fair share, India and China – they have us under.
But, you know, we’re also under siege from Indiana, Kentucky, Georgia. Those from Dayton, NCR, gone. An empty building. We’re under siege from North Carolina, from Florida, from Texas. They all come inside the boundaries of Ohio and they try to lure away our best and brightest. They take our jobs, sometimes they take our job creators out of our beloved Buckeye State. We’re not going to let that continue. We cannot afford to let that continue. But I must also tell my colleagues here today that while I believe we can’t tax our way to prosperity, we can’t cut our way there either.
If you examine any successful business, it’s absolutely critical that that business controls its costs. Ohio is going to have to control its costs only to set the stage for the creation of new products just like businesses. You see, they control their costs, they create new products, they find new customers, and they develop innovative solutions. And this is what allows the great companies to flourish, whether it is Google or whether it is Yahoo, whether it’s Oracle. Every day they think about controlling costs and devising new and exciting ways to solve problems. Google is in the dictionary.
I met those guys when they drove in a Volkswagen with their inline skates tied to roof, and they’ve changed the world. They have changed the world. And the same formula that allows businesses to flourish, it’s the same formula that can allow us to build a strong Ohio. Yes, control our costs and begin to innovate. We are putting a budget together that can transform our state.
If you’ve seen a lot of change in these first seven weeks, you ain’t seen nothing yet. We are going to transform this state. READ IT ALL HERE.
It seems reasonable that Ohio Democrats could work with that vision and that tone. But remember Wisconsin was the national focus because President Obama knew, if the people of Wisconsin fix their public union costs, he will lose Wisconsin in 2012. By his calculation, if he loses Wisconsin, he loses reelection. Obama also considers Ohio and Michigan are essential as well. There is no doubt he is right.
SEIU and other union thugs were in Wisconsin at Obama’s direction. This is the major reason national media attention remained focused there. Be alert. The Thugocracy will focus on Ohio in the next days. Watch —the opportunity for Ohio Democrats to be constructive will vanish.
American Patriots Must Ignore Those Who Choose to Spend their Lives in Washington and Presume to Inform Us on . . . Anything.
This is pretty easy. We don’t need Kathleen Parker or Peggy Noonan. But let us face it, George Will and Charles Krauthammer have also become irrelevant. We are in a time,
where those who live and work in Washington D.C., have no understanding of We the People. Furthermore, there is no evidence they care. Will is turning seventy and Krauthammer is only 61, but they have become grumpyy old men.
Agree or not, Will’s criticism of Huckabee is fair. The Governors statements will hurt his candidacy if he runs. But if Huckabee runs, he, like Gingrich, is better off without the endorsement of either Will or Krauthammer. What would Will know about, “sensible Americans, who pay scant attention to presidential politics at this point in the electoral cycle,” anyway?
Will, in his WaPo article criticizing Huckabee and dismissing Gingrich, could find just five choices for the Republican Presidential candidacy. Notably unnamed were two women, Governor Palin and Congresswoman Bachmann and a black man, Herman Cain. Make of it what you will.
A clear difference separating Krauthammer from Will? You would not mind having Krauthammer for a neighbor.
The vote in the Assembly was announced at 3:53 central time. But the day was ushered in at the Capitol Building in Madison by college students who spent the night in the building.
Students from the nearby University of Wisconsin at Madison have always been a significant percentage of the demonstrators. But the muscle in Madison has been supplied by uniion thugs. Things have now become nasty, dangerous and potentially deadly for those determined to do the job the Wisconsin voters asked them to do.

Capitol Chaos: Lawmakers Get Death Threats
MADISON – The State Department of Justice confirms that it is investigating several death threats against a number of lawmakers in response to the legislature’s move to strip employees of many collective bargaining rights.
Among the threats the Justice Department is investigating is one that was emailed to Republican Senators Wednesday night. Newsradio 620 WTMJ has obtained that email.
The following is the unedited email:
Please put your things in order because you will be killed and your familes
will also be killed due to your actions in the last 8 weeks. Please explain
to them that this is because if we get rid of you and your families then it
will save the rights of 300,000 people and also be able to close the deficit
that you have created. I hope you have a good time in hell. Read below for
more information on possible scenarios in which you will die.
WE want to make this perfectly clear. Because of your actions today and in
the past couple of weeks I and the group of people that are working with me
have decided that we’ve had enough. We feel that you and the people that
support the dictator have to die. We have tried many other ways of dealing
with your corruption but you have taken things too far and we will not stand
for it any longer. So, this is how it’s going to happen: I as well as many
others know where you and your family live, it’s a matter of public records.
We have all planned to assult you by arriving at your house and putting a
nice little bullet in your head. However, we decided that we wouldn’t leave
it there. We also have decided that this may not be enough to send the
message to you since you are so “high” on Koch and have decided that you are now going to single handedly make this a dictatorship instead of a demorcratic process. So we have also built several bombs that we have placed in various locations around the areas in which we know that you frequent.

I do not believe Governor Walker found time to appear with these patriots but here is a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel summary from his news conference this morning:
Republicans checked with nonpartisan legislative agencies to make sure the action was legal, Walker said during a Thursday morning press conference.
Walker said the Republicans are acting on behalf of Wisconsin residents who support balancing the budget. “The public overwhelmingly supports asking our public employees to pay more for their pensions and health care,” Walker said.
He noted that he introduced his budget repair bill nearly four weeks ago and repeated his statement that state senate Democratic leader Mark Miller has blocked any possible negotiations on the budget repair bill.
“In the end, at some point, the public wants us to move forward,” Walker said.
“The public overwhelmingly supports asking our public employees to pay more for their pensions and health care,” Walker said.

Jackson, “These people here are losing their jobs, their homes etc. and cain’t pay _ _ _ their children. These peoples backs against the wall. Where do they go? . . . These people here —democracy at its best is liberty; not something rammed through. And people are reacting to it because the idea they’re using it—the budget deficit—as a pretext ah ah because ah ah he gave a huge tax cut and job cut. So people do not believe what they’re hearing.”
MSJ interviewer, “But they control the House [Assembly], the Senate and they have the Governor’s office and that’s what happened with health care, some would suggest, and there’s a parallel there.”
Jackson, “Well it is democratic tyranny when people real needs are not taken into account. What does this mean, in Milwaukee for example, when they get $900 million cut in education? What does it mean you try to privatize the rest of Wisconsin at Madison? What does it mean when you use this kind of power to privatize State assets and then sell them off to people without deliberative process? There’s something here that, even collective bargaining, the content is as important as collective bargaining.”
The Wisconsin state Assembly on Thursday afternoon passed a controversial bill that curtails most state workers’ collective bargaining rights. The Assembly passed the measure 53-42.
The bill will reach Gov. Scott Walker’s desk for final approval. The bill would, among other things, allow public workers to collectively negotiate wages only, prohibit public-worker raises beyond inflation, and bar unions from taking dues from public workers’ checks. Walker has argued the bill is necessary to help the state correct its deficits and avoid massive layoffs and property tax hikes.

And another thought, what does the Congressional Budget office do anyway besides conclude Obamacare is revenue neutral. You are about to find out. You and I know a tidal wave when we see one.

The CBO made no assumptions for future changes in Federal Government revenue as a percentage of the economy. Here is a fuller, more compelling picture with all spending categories.
So there you are. And, more importantly, here we are. We are the generation called to fix this. We cannot wait. We must act. Our action must happen in two steps.
Step one; we must insist that all worthy forms of the “Cowboy Poetry Festival” find private or local funding. (This includes functions such as government education.)
Step two; we must reform/phase out entitlements. Yes, I said phase out. Of course these are essential functions in American life but they are not best performed as government programs. The phasing out will take years. We must start now.
We must have a national conversation about this over the next 17 months then make our decision November 6, 2012. The work and supervision begins January 7, 2013. But this day we have clarity.

Let’s Decide in 2012 —Make America Number 1 in Oil Production again
The second most important decision we must make as Americans in the next 17 months is to open the throttle on crude oil. That means more exploration, more drilling and more needed infrastructure —especially new refining capacity. There is no reason, if we will it, America cannot be producing as much oil as we consume by 2021.
There is only one reason we are not drilling and producing now. That reason is the American government. The government has stood between a petroleum free market and We the People for 45 years. Federal restrictions on petroleum go back to the 1970’s. Only Ronald Reagan and G.W. Bush, in his second term, have taken action to loosen restrictions on American oil production.
President Obama is even more destructive than Jimmy Carter. He hates petroleum in general and American petroleum leadership in particular. In 2009, the Obama Administration placed almost all reserves on Federal land off limits. The “BP spill” was a perfect opportunity to choke back America’s hope for a robust world leading petroleum industry even further. The Regime promptly canceled Gulf Coast deep-water drilling permits.
As early as May 2nd, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar told CNN: “Our job basically is to keep the boot on the neck of British Petroleum.” I know. None of us are shills for BP but, like you, it makes my blood boil. You may not know this, the last 48 days of that spill was caused directly by the Regime. Meanwhile Obama fed the image of his sweet young daughter asking, “Daddy, didyouplug the holetoday?” This is a perfect example of why the accurate word for this crowd is “Regime.”
We can promptly turn an eager domestic industry loose in January 2013 if we do our duty and our work in the 2012 election. We must give Republican candidates for the House, the Senate and President marching orders in the campaign and then elect them. We can—must—see $60 to $65 per barrel again and pump prices for gasoline at $2.40 to $2.50. Let’s go for it! Let us begin!
It has been just over three weeks since Egyptian freedom was proclaimed by most every news organization and confirmed by President Obama himself.
And it has been just over two weeks since, with the address of Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi at Tihrir Square, the idea of Egyptian freedom ended. In the sermon, he asked the Egyptian army “to open wide the Rafah crossing and to pray for the re-conquest of Jerusalem by the Muslims, so that he and the Muslims could pray in security at Al-Aqsa Mosque.” This part of his sermon was cheered and applauded by the crowd…. A Summary of Egypt’s Week of Freedom
Mubarak’s resignation was announced by Vice President Omar Suleiman in a brief statement that brought roars of joy to Egyptians gathered in Cairo’s Tahrir Square — the epicenter of the protest movement — as well as the presidential palace in the suburb of Heliopolis and all around the country.
Cries of “Egypt is free” rang out as ecstatic protesters hoisted soldiers onto their shoulders and families posed for pictures in front of tanks in streets flooded with residents of the capital of 18 million people.
Strangers hugged strangers, some fell to kiss the ground, and others stood stunned in disbelief. Chants of “Hold your heads high, you’re Egyptian” roared with each burst of fireworks overhead.
“I’m 21 years old and this is the first time in my life I feel free,” an ebullient Abdul-Rahman Ayyash, born eight years after Mubarak came to power, said as he hugged fellow protesters in Tahrir, or Liberation, Square.
“The greatest day”
Mohamed ElBaradei, a Nobel Peace Prize winner and leading Egyptian democracy advocate, said Friday was “the greatest day of my life.”
“The country has been liberated after decades of repression,” ElBaradei (who thought he might be acclaimed leader) told The Associated Press. He said he expected a “beautiful” transition of power.
A senior member of the Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt’s biggest opposition group, said it was waiting to see what steps would be taken by the military’s Supreme Council, but also sounded an optimistic note.
“I salute the Egyptian people and the martyrs. This is the day of victory for the Egyptian people. The main goal of the revolution has been achieved,” Mohamed el-Katatni, former leader of the Brotherhood’s parliamentary bloc, told Reuters.
Another leading opposition figure, Ayman Nour, said he was looking forward to a transition period that would lead to a civilian government.
“This is the greatest day in the history of Egypt that will not be repeated. This nation has been born again. These people have been born again and this is a new Egypt,” he told Al-Jazeera.
At the White House, President Barack Obama said that “Egyptians have inspired us” and that “I’m confident the people of Egypt can find the answers” to the transition questions that lie ahead.
Now We Have Reality
The Obama team has decided that it can live with and work with Islamist regimes in the Middle East, so long as Al Qaeda is not the group in power.In other words the Muslim Brotherhood is just fine, if it succeeds in taking power in Egypt and other Arab countries currently in turmoil. The new policy as described in a Washington Post article and then offers his reaction:
“The administration is already taking steps to distinguish between various movements in the region that promote Islamic law in government. An internal assessment, ordered by the White House last month, identified large ideological differences between such movements as the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and al-Qaeda that will guide the U.S. approach to the region.”
Get it? Al-Qaeda is bad because it wants to attack U.S. embassies, the World Trade Center, and the Pentagon.
BUT the Muslim Brotherhood is good! Because it merely wants to seize state power, transform Egypt into an Islamist state, rule 90 million people, back Hamas in trying to destroy Israel, overthrow the Palestinian Authority, help Jordan’s Muslim Brotherhood overthrow the monarchy, and sponsor terrorism against Americans in the Middle East.
I’m sure you can see the difference. This is the nonsense that the administration has been working toward for two years. It is the doctrine pushed by the president’s advisor on terrorism, elements in the CIA, and White House ideologues. The State and Defense departments are probably horrified.
Here’s the next paragraph:
“We shouldn’t be afraid of Islam in the politics of these countries,” said a senior administration official . . . “It’s the behavior of political parties and governments that we will judge them on, not their relationship with Islam.”
You can see these people are utterly hopeless. We have nearly 23 months before we have an opportunity To return to a foreign policy in Washington that stands strong for America and our friends. On that day we must addressIslamic jihad at home and araound the earth.
Update: (Reuters) March 6, 2011: The military council which has ruled Egypt since Mubarak stepped down redeployed the police force Sunday. . . . Men in plain clothes armed with swords and petrol bombs attacked protesters in Cairo on Sunday night during a demonstration.
GOLLY! Protesters and demonstrations in Egypt? How can this be?
“. . . . What’s happened is is that we’ve allowed a vast majority of that cash to be concentrated in the hands of just a few people. . . . They’re sitting on the money, they’re using it for their own – they’re putting it someplace else, they have no interest in helping you with your life, with that money. We’ve allowed them to take that. That’s not theirs, that’s a national resource, that’s ours. . . . I think we need to go back to taxing these people at the proper rates. They need to – we need to see these jobs as something that we own, that we collectively own as Americans and you can’t just steal our jobs and take them someplace else.”
Moore understands his money is not his so he is not a racist. Tea Partiers, who are like you and me, mistakenly believe the wealth they have earned, or, for that matter, inherited, is theirs to leave to children or church. No! That is a racist view! Look at this Kenneth T. Walsh description of an Obama conversation in his new book, Family of Freedom:
In May 2010, he told guests at a private White House dinner that race was probably a key component in the rising opposition to his presidency from conservatives, especially right-wing activists in the anti-incumbent “Tea Party” movement that was then surging across the country. Many middle-class and working-class whites felt aggrieved and resentful that the federal government was helping other groups, including bankers, automakers, irresponsible people who had defaulted on their mortgages, and the poor, but wasn’t helping them nearly enough, he said.
A guest suggested that when Tea Party activists said they wanted to “take back” their country, their real motivation was to stir up anger and anxiety at having a black president, and Obama didn’t dispute the idea. He agreed that there was a “subterranean agenda” in the anti-Obama movement-a racially biased one-that was unfortunate. But he sadly conceded that there was little he could do about it.
It was the lefts reaction to the Tea Parties that helped me see that the label racist has been fixed on conservatives who resist Government takeover of private wealth and resources. Other than Obamacare, the Tea party concern has been government spending and taxes. Se this must be the basis used to label them Racist. I realized it applies to you and me as well.
In a letter to popular talk show host, Roland Martin, who declared the Tea parties racist, I wrote:
I went through life confident I was not a racist. Now, in this age of Obama, we have an all race all the time country. My attitude was, “Talk to the hand, the face ain’t listenin’.” But, in these past days, I can see for the first time, I AM A RACIST.
You see, I have believed my labor and my property were mine, not the government’s. I had not understood that this faulty thinking is RACIST. But, I can now see that my labor and my property are the government’s. When I am allowed to keep anything, it is out of the generosity of Obama-Reid-Pelosi-NAACP-etc. So I now know RACIST is not about race at all but is simply the foremost of the pejoratives used by thieves, as an excuse, to put their hand in my pocket.
When I accept this completely, I, perhaps, will be absolved of my RACISM. White RACISTS, like me, are generally found to be less despicable than the great patriot, Justice Clarence Thomas. You may know that Thomas is the most hated black in America.

There may be no more highly charged label than racist. I was very encouraged with the progress we had made in putting the charge of racism and, more importantly, racism itself behind us. Then —the 2008 campaign. Former President Clinton was the first to have the “race card played on me.” But in the past two years, the racist charge from the left has swept down on us like a North Dakota February blizzard. Needless to say, Mr. Martin did not reply.
Trotskyites are radicals who support Trotsky’s belief that socialism must be established throughout the world by continuing revolution. That has not been the American experience until now. It was Fabian Socialists, labeling themselves Progressives, who moved the country from the American Idea brick by brick for a century. They avoided talk of “fundamental transformation.”

For Lincoln, this central idea was the Declaration of Independence and its notion of equality as the basis for republican government—the simple idea that no one has the right by nature to rule over another without the latter’s consent:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with inalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.”
Lincoln remarked in 1859: “All honor to Jefferson—to the man who, in the concrete pressure of a struggle for national independence by a single people, had the coolness, forecast, and capacity to introduce into a merely revolutionary document, an abstract truth, applicable to all men and all times, and so embalm it there, that to-day, and in all coming days, it shall be a rebuke and a stumbling-block to the very harbingers of re-appearing tyranny and oppression.” (Emphasis mine) Lincoln’s most famous single declaration (at Gettysburg):
“Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth, upon this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. . . . .
. . . “It is for us, the living, rather to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they have, thus far, so nobly carried on. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us – that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they here gave the last full measure of devotion – that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain; that this nation shall have a new birth of freedom; and that this government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”
The Preamble to the Constitution of the United States of America clearly addresses the American Idea:
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan, speaking on the floor of the house chamber last year before the Obamacare vote, is among our fine leaders standing with the American Idea:
“It’s unconscionable what we are leaving the next generation. This moment may mark a temporary conclusion of the health care debate. But its place in history has not been decided. If this passes, the quest to reclaim the American idea is not over. The fight to reapply our founding principles is not finished it is just a steeper hill to climb and it is a climb we will make.
Yes indeed, it is a climb we will make!
The Threat
There is no doubt Islam is the greatest global threat in history. Yet, the fight here for the life or death of the American Idea is more critical and it is now. If we lose the fight with the Secular Fundamentalists, the Islamists will prevail in the end.
If the fight were called today, the secular progressives would win. They control our universities, the media, a majority of Federal and States courts, the United States Senate, the Presidency, 22 governors, several State legislatures and the Federal and State bureaucracies.
The New Trotskyites
The textbook for these Secular Fundamentalist hard leftists, such as Code Pink, is Rules for Radicals, 1971, by Saul Alinsky. Alinsky’s first bestselling (1945) handbook for fundamental transformation is Reveille for Radicals. Whenever you hear the “activity” organizing, think Saul Alinsky. Saul Alinsky was a Communist/Marxist fellow-traveler who helped establish the tactics of infiltration –coupled with a measure of confrontation—that have been central to revolutionary political movements in the United States in recent decades. He never joined the Communist Party but instead, as David Horowitz puts it, became an avatar of the post-modern left.
As a teenager, Hillary Rodham was introduced to Alinsky’s work by her Methodist Youth Pastor. She became a devotee. We do not know if she ever renounced Alinsky. The path she eventually chose was to hitch her star to Bill Clinton.
On the other hand, Barak Obama, has been into “community Organizing” since he enrolled as a student at Occidental.
Richard Andrew Cloward and his wife Frances Fox Piven: wrote the “Cloward-Piven Strategy.” This handbook details the need to destroy the old system before you build the new on the ashes. Let me say again, the old system must be destroyed.
This is exactly Barak Obama’s plan and commitment. This is “organizing.” This is “Fundamentally Transforming.” He has loaded the White House with fellow Trotskyites. The unsustainable size and growth of government is purposeful and intended to destroy the institutions of the American Idea.

The Warren Court interpreted it in the same way that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. It says what the states can’t do to you. It says what the federal government can’t do to you, but it doesn’t say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf.”

“Barack stood up that day,’ talking about a visit to Chicago neighborhoods, ‘and spoke words that have stayed with me ever since. He talked about ‘The world as it is’ and ‘The world as it should be…”
The phrases are from Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals”, Chapter 2.
What about the National Education Association, the NEA?
Where does the NEA fit into the scheme? They are as radical as others we have mentioned. This should be a book but we’ll let two examples suffice.
Bob Chanin, General Counsel to the National Education Association until retirement 2009:
Despite what some among us would like to believe it is not because of our creative ideas; it is not because of the merit of our positions; it is not because we care about children; and it is not because we have a vision of a great public school for every child.
The NEA and its affiliates are effective advocates because we have power. And we have power because there are more than 3.2 million people who are willing to pay us hundreds of million of dollars in dues each year because they believe that we are the unions that can most effectively represent them; the union that can protect their rights and advance their interests as education employees.
This is not to say that the concern of NEA and its affiliates with closing achievement gaps, reducing drop rate rates, improving teacher quality, and the like are unimportant or inappropriate. . . . But they need not and must not be achieved at the expense of due process, employee rights, or collective bargaining.
That is simply too high a price to pay.

Alinsky practiced what he preached. He said, “Tactics means doing what you can with what you have … tactics is the art of how to take and how to give.”
He uses eyes, ears and nose for examples…
Eyes “If you have a vast organization, parade it before the enemy, openly show your power.”
Ears
“If your organization is small, do what Gideon did: conceal the members in the dark but raise a clamor that will make the listener believe that your organization numbers many more that it does.”
Nose
“If your organization is too tiny even for noise, stink up the place.”
Alinsky devised and proved thirteen tactical rules for use against opponents vastly superior in power and wealth.
1. “Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.
2. “Never go outside the experience of your people.
3. “Wherever possible go outside of the experience of the enemy.
4. “Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.
5. “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.
6. “A good tactic is one that your people enjoy.
7. “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.
8. “Keep the pressure on.
9. “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.
10. “Major premise for tactics is development of operations that will maintain constant pressure upon the opposition.
11. “If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counterside.
12. “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.
13. “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.
“The real action is in the enemy’s reaction. The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength. Tactics, like life, require that you move with the action.”
Alinsky was hated and defamed by powerful enemies, proof that his tactics worked. His simple formula for success…
“Agitate + Aggravate + Educate + Organize”
Wisconsin is at the center of the 2011 action. Today is decision time. Will the Wisconsin Senate Democrats join Governor Walker and prevent the layoff of hundreds of teachers or will they kneel before the “we have the power” Alinskyites?

Wednesday, February 23, 2011, President Obama exceeded his constitutional authority declaring that HE has determined a law to be unconstitutional and instructed Attorney General Holder not to defend the law before the courts. Here is part of Attorney General Holder’s statement:
“After careful consideration, the president of the United States has made the determination that Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act as applied to same-sex couples who are legally married under state law, violates the equal-protection component” of the U.S. Constitution.
The audacity is breathtaking. There never has been audacity of hope, but we’ve seen other audacities. I found it necessary to reluctantly call President Obama a thug concerning his audacious interference in the decisions the people of Wisconsin are working through. Now, Wednesday, we get the audacity of usurpation.
It is important to quickly review how we established out government, not of men, but of laws. In 1776 Delegates representing the assemblies of the 13 English Colonies at Philadelphia unanimously adopted a Declaration of Independence. The second paragraph began with these history changing words:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.
That last sentence proclaims governments (ours) exist to insure that each sovereign citizen shall not have his rights infringed upon; that the only authority this government has is derived from the people. Some eleven years later a permanent government was established —a constitution was written. It began thus:
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
These founders knew they had a government of laws not men. They knew the government officeholders were bound by law; We The People are sovereign. That principle was passed from generation to generation. As a schoolboy, in 1946, I was taught that the American Experiment was exceptional because of core principles — including that our government is a government of laws not men. I believed it.
I learned the first three articles of our Constitution established the responsibilities and power of three branches of our Government. The Congress is to write the statutory law. The Executive is to administer the government under the law. The Federal Courts are to interpret the law with the appellate Courts ruling on the constitutionality of a statue. I believed that is how we are governed —a system of laws not men. It worked well until now. America has been an inspiration to the world, a shining city on a hill.
While, this was hardly reported Wednesday, I immediately discussed it in my daily email distribution. I wrote, in part:
Got it? “After careful consideration, The President of the United States has made the determination . . . violates the equal protection component of the U.S. Constitution.” We could argue the merits of the “careful consideration” and “has made the determination,” which are wrong. But that is not the point! Federal Courts consider Constitutionality and the United States Supreme court is the final arbiter. Period. (There are circumstances where the Congress has authority over the Court but the President never has.) Thug, a word that fit the situation in Wisconsin, is too weak for this usurpation. We the People must see this reversed quickly or why would we expect this tyrant to bother with elections going forward?
Some will declare I am outrageously out of line to suggest Obama would even think to cancel elections. Maybe, but just days ago I could not have imagined a declaration that he, Obama, determines the Constitutionality of Statues.
Wednesday Congresswoman Michele Bachmann immediately launched a petition drive against this usurpation. That was about it. Yesterday, it was covered, for example by Fox News where it was treated as a segment —not a usurpation. Rush, on the other hand, plowed right in:
Barack Obama, ladies and gentlemen, took an oath —not that that means anything— but he took an oath to faithfully execute his duties. And what he’s doing in this Defense of Marriage Act is abandoning the defense of the law which means there’s no one left to defend it. The president of the United States and his corrupt attorney general just decided that the law is unconstitutional, a law that dates all the way back to Bill Clinton. They just don’t like the law. So he’s gonna repeal the law, or part of it, by refusing to defend it. This is really extraordinary. We could apply the age-old test: Imagine if this were Richard Nixon. Imagine if this were George W. Bush and the law were abortion. . . .
. . . The president is lawless. The evidence is mounting every day. And the only ones blind to it are his ass kissers in the media. I don’t care, a leftist is a leftist. I don’t care whether they’re a journalist, so-called journalist or whether they’re a pundit or member of Congress or whatever, leftists are leftists. In fact, I think these guys are celebrating. They’re having all kinds of fun here. You had a prank caller to the governor of Wisconsin pretending to be David Koch. (imitating media) “Oh, wow, how creative, well, this is wonderful.” Whatever it takes to defeat conservatives, because the enemy is not Moammar Khadafy, the enemy is not Al-Qaeda, the enemy is not terrorist organizations. No, the enemy is conservative Republicans. That’s the enemy that the American left lines up against. I don’t even think these ass kissers in the media are blind to it. They are active supporters. They encourage this lawlessness. They applaud it. They laugh. They celebrate it. They love it whenever one of their own pulls the wool over our eyes, they think. They love it when one of their own tricks us or defeats us. That’s one of the reasons they loved Clinton so much.
Look, let’s not forget, Obama’s Environmental Protection Agency is in effect legislating now when it comes to carbon dioxide, imposing rules on citizens that Congress has not passed. In fact, rules that Congress has refused to pass. What we are witnessing here is a deterioration of our society, our norms, our systems. It’s what it is. Alexis de Tocqueville referred to this as soft tyranny. What is soft tyranny? Obama using executive orders, regulations, and now withholding the defense of laws he doesn’t like to run the government out of his office. These czars, as we have discussed on countless previous occasions, exist simply to bypass cabinet offices and they’re unaccountable, nobody knows who they are, nobody knows what they make, they’ve never been confirmed to anything. Do not be mistaken we are in for the fight of our lives. Like the good teachers in Wisconsin, we cannot be good by just doing or saying nothing —just by being there. We have a responsibility to be difference makers. More directly, we are responsible for our part of America. Let the new redefinition of the fight be joined.
