Father Daniel Avila wrote “yes,” and the trouble began.
Avila is an associate director for policy and research for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. He laid out a scientific case in an article, “Some Fundamental Questions on Same-Sex Attraction,” published in “The Pilot,” the oldest Roman Catholic newspaper in America. After a gay activist driven firestorm, the paper retracted (scrubbed) Avila’s story Wednesday.
The Associated Press reported that Avila wrote, “the scientific evidence of how same-sex attraction most likely may be created provides a credible basis for a spiritual explanation that indicts the devil.”
With the scrubbing of the article (and an apology from Avila) the evidence seemed lacking. But No! Someone named Jincey Limpkin writing at the Huffpost Gay Section provides compelling evidence in her Satanic rant of inferno proportions. She describes her path into and through a lifestyle that could only be led and sustained by demonic forces.
Then there is the (Washington Post) news from San Diego’s Patrick Henry High School where district superintendent Bill Kowba actually praised the school for choosing a lesbian couple to be homecoming king and queen. There is no need here to parse this. Satan’s crowd is all over every thread. However, the incident is worth a book on how far parts of America (including public schools) have slid into the devil’s pit.
