CHUCK HAGEL EXPOSED IN A ROUGH DAY BEFORE SENATE ARMED SERVICES COMMITTEE

Former Nebraska Republican Senator Chuck Hagel appeared for his Senate hearing January 31, 2013. Hagel has a long record of saying the wrong thing or taking the wrong vote or stand especially concerning Israel and America’s place as the power for good in the world. There is no record that Senator Hagel is for terrorism. Yet it is clear that he is soft on Islam and admits no threat from it. If you missed the hearing, the videos below are an excellent selection of the hard pointed questioning from the committee and Hagel’s answers which called his capacity, competence and character into question. Just the kind of man Obama wants at Defense. The country needs a bipartisan vote against his confirmation.

Texas Senator Ted Cruz, “A suggestion that Israel has committed war crimes is particularly offensive given that the Jewish people suffered under the most horrific war crimes.”

Arizona Senator John McCain, “You are on the wrong side of history.”

South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, “I can’t think of a more provocative thing to say about the United States and Israel and the Senate or the Congress than what you said. Name One dumb thing we’ve been goaded into doing because of the Israeli or Jewish lobby.”

Senator Graham: That Hagel was one of four Senators who refused to sign a letter naming Arafat for undercutting agreement with Israel, “Runs chills up my spine.”
