FACING UP TO FOUR YEARS OF COVERUP—2009-2012 REQUIRES COURAGE AND CHARACTER

The Obama legacy of lawlessness, scandal and cover-up (Benghazi) has now reached the pages and channels of the fraud media. Along with Breitbart’s AWR Hawkins, I led with the judgment that the then current Fast and Furious Scandal would prove to be “BIGGER THAN WATERGATE.” (July 9, 2011). There are now more than 100 known dead and Attorney General Holder stands in contempt of Congress and we are far from the end of that cover-up. The fraud media is still not uttering “Watergate” but Google “Bigger than Watergate” today and you find thousands of hits. Of course Benghazi is, as it should be, the focus for the “Watergate” tag but you can’t miss the cumulative effect of the several cover-ups.

The term “Watergate” is not connected to malfeasance, lawbreaking or even scandal. It applies to the cover-up. Simple wrongdoing in high places can, with courage and character, be responsibly faced and repaired. The cover-up cannot be purged or cleansed because unintended consequences run in unforeseen and unpredictable directions.

It doesn’t take a half dozen scandals. It only takes one wrongdoing covered up. The lesson for a President (who would be god) and for us all comes from God’s own man who, 2900 years ago, was the king. The lesson unfolds with stark clarity in the Biblical book, Second Samuel.

As we remember, King David had the benefits of power. We don’t know if his personal living cost reached over $1.4 billion per year as President Obama’s does (spreading the wealth around). We do know he had a fine palace in the right neighborhood. Like so many of us, he had opportunity and the resources to carry out his wrongdoing. Take a look:

And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab and his servants with him and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem.

And it came to pass in an eveningtide that David arose from his bed and walked upon the roof of the king’s house. And from the roof he saw a woman washing herself, and the woman was very beautiful to look upon.  And David sent and inquired after the woman. And one said, “Is not this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?” And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her, for she was purified from her uncleanness; and she returned unto her house. And the woman conceived, and sent and told David, and said, “I am with child.”

Many of us cannot understand the scale of wrongdoing uncovered by the  Government Accountability Institute (GAI). But we understand lust and covetousness and adultery. And we can understand this: So far in the story there is no cover-up and this wrongdoing can be responsibly owned and an honorable path forward can be followed. But alas, King David became the Biblical lesson, for all time and place, on the uncontrollable irreversible disaster that is the cover-up. In biblical words:

 And David sent to Joab, saying, “Send me Uriah the Hittite.” And Joab sent Uriah to David. And when Uriah had come unto him, David demanded of him how Joab did, and how the people did, and how the war prospered. And David said to Uriah, “Go down to thy house and wash thy feet.” And Uriah departed out of the king’s house, and there followed him a meal of meat from the king. But Uriah slept at the door of the king’s house with all the servants of his lord, and went not down to his house.

And when they had told David, saying, “Uriah went not down unto his house,” David said unto Uriah, “Camest thou not from thy journey? Why then did thou not go down unto thine house?” And Uriah said unto David, “The ark and Israel and Judah abide in tents, and my lord Joab and the servants of my lord are encamped in the open fields: shall I then go into mine house to eat and to drink and to lie with my wife? As thou livest and as thy soul liveth, I will not do this thing.”

And David said to Uriah, “Tarry here today also, and tomorrow I will let thee depart.” So Uriah remained in Jerusalem that day and the morrow. And when David had called him, he ate and drank before him, and he made him drunk; and at evening he went out to lie on his bed with the servants of his lord, but went not down to his house. And it came to pass in the morning that David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by the hand of Uriah.

 And he wrote in the letter, saying, “Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten and die.”

 And it came to pass, when Joab observed the city, that he assigned Uriah unto a place where he knew that valiant men were. And the men of the city went out and fought with Joab; and there fell some of the people of the servants of David, and Uriah the Hittite died also.

 Then Joab sent and told David all the things concerning the war, and charged the messenger, saying, “When thou hast made an end of telling the matters of the war unto the king, and if so be that the king’s wrath arise and he say unto thee, ‘Why approached ye so nigh unto the city when ye fought? Knew ye not that they would shoot from the wall? Who smote Abimelech the son of Jerubbesheth? Did not a woman cast a piece of a millstone upon him from the wall, that he died in Thebez? Why went ye nigh the wall?’ — then say thou, ‘Thy servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also.’”

So the messenger went, and came and showed David all that Joab had sent him for. And the messenger said unto David, “Surely the men prevailed against us and came out unto us into the field, and we were upon them even unto the entrance of the gate. And the shooters shot from the wall upon thy servants; and some of the king’s servants are dead, and thy servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also.”

Then David said unto the messenger, “Thus shalt thou say unto Joab: ‘Let not this thing displease thee, for the sword devoureth one as well as another. Press thy battle stronger against the city, and overthrow it’; and encourage thou him.”

And when the wife of Uriah heard that Uriah her husband was dead, she mourned for her husband.

 And when the mourning was past, David sent and fetched her to his house; and she became his wife and bore him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the Lord.

The cover-up requires manipulation of honorable people. The first deception brings on the requirement to continue to deceive. The cover-up will require destroying something. In the case of King David, it required the death of the uncooperative Uriah. The willful act to destroy that which is required for the cover-up has collateral damage the lasts forever. In this case Uriah died and so did other innocent solders. General Joab and others were corrupted. The burden of the wrongdoing cannot be put down. (Remember, while President Obama has great power, we all have some.) Like King David, any wrongdoing person of power can turn to contrition and redemption. This is the way out for a nation as well. Here is the formula word for word (Psalm 51~21st Century King James Bible, pages 285-286):

1Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Thy lovingkindness; according unto the multitude of Thy tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.

2 Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

3 For I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me.

4 Against Thee, Thee only, have I sinned and done this evil in Thy sight, that Thou mightest be justified when Thou speakest, and be clear when Thou judgest.

5 Behold, I was shaped in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.

6 Behold, Thou desirest truth in my inward parts; in the hidden part Thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

8 Make me to hear joy and gladness, that the bones which Thou hast broken may rejoice.

9 Hide Thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

11 Cast me not away from Thy presence, and take not Thy holy Spirit from me.

12 Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation, and uphold me with Thy free Spirit.

13 Then will I teach transgressors Thy ways, and sinners shall be converted unto Thee.

14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, Thou God of my salvation, and my tongue shall sing aloud of Thy righteousness.

A LEGACY OF LAWLESSNESS, SCANDAL AND COVER-UP PART II—SECRET PHONE DEALS FOR MONEY BUNDLERS

Yesterday we brought you the “bombshell.” The Obama campaign solicited received and covered up a massive total in illegal foreign campaign contributions. All this discovered and revealed by two American patriots, Peter Schweitzer and Steve Bannon at their CampaignFundingRisks.com.

Now this; free phones to the “community organized,” huge easy profits for Obama bundlers and the taxpayer stuck with the bill.

Was all this out in the open? No, no this is another scandal of lawlessness and cover up. This is a classic example of Obama “helping the poor” and spreading the wealth around.” It could be out in the open if it was simply taxing your earnings and “redistributing” it to the “designated poor.”  But the real under the table “redistribution” goes from you, an ordinary middle class taxpayer to filling the deep pockets of Obama bundlers. In this case, some of the money Obama slid found its way right into the pocket of the world’s richest man. Do you understand “spreading the wealth” better now? Can you see the real need for a cover up? No problem for those who do it almost as a matter of standard operating procedure. Just call it all “Organizing for Phones.”

Andrew Stiles writing at the Washington Free Beacon explains how it went down:

A wireless company profiting from the so-called “Obama phone” giveaway program is run by a prominent Democratic donor whose wife has raised more than $1.5 million for the president since 2007.

Last week a video of a President Barack Obama supporter in Ohio claiming to have received a free phone from the president—“[Obama] gave us a phone!”—went viral, prompting media outlets to investigate.

Since 1985 the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has operated a program called Lifeline, originally designed to provide free landline phone service for low-income individuals. Thegovernment subsidizestelecommunications firms providing the service, and those firms also pass on costs to customers via the “Universal Service Charge” on their phone bills.

The program expanded to include cell phones in 2008. That change hasrapidly increased the cost to the federal government—$1.6 billion in 2011, up from $772 million in 2008. The number of Lifeline beneficiaries rose from 7.1 million to 12.5 million during the same period; cell phones account for roughly half of that 12.5 million.

One of the major providers of the free cell phones—3.8 million subscribersas of late 2011—is Miami-based TracFone Wireless, a company whose president and CEO, Frederick “F.J.” Pollak, has donated at least $156,500 to Democratic candidates and committees this cycle, including at least $50,000 to the Obama campaign.

Pollak’s wife, Abigail, is a campaign bundler for Obama who has raised more than $632,000 for the president this cycle, and more than $1.5 million since 2007. She has personally contributed more than $200,000 to Democratic candidates and committees since 2008.

The Pollaks hosted Obama at their Miami Beach home in June for a $40,000-per-plate fundraising dinner, and hosted a similar event with Michelle Obama in July 2008. The couple personally donated a combined $66,200 to Obama’s reelection effort that year.

Visitor logs indicate that Frederick and Abigail Pollak have visited the White House seven times. In 2009, the president appointed Abigail to serve on the “Commission to Study the Potential Creation of a National Museum of the American Latino.”

TracFone, a direct financial beneficiary of the Lifeline program, receives $10 a month for each subscriber in the form of federal subsidies. The company can make an additional profit selling extra minutes to Lifeline subscribers who exceed their monthly allowance of 250 prepaid minutes.

TracFone and other wireless providers claim that revenue from selling additional minutes to Lifeline customers is low, but decline to publicly release such figures.

The program’s rapidly increasing costs have attracted the attention of Republicans and Democrats in Congress, and have prompted calls for reform. Sen. Claire McCaskill (D., Mo.), for example, found that the program was “ripe for fraud.” In some cases, McCaskill noted in a December 2011 press release, the government was issuing multiple free phones to the same individuals.

“I remain troubled by the expansive potential for the program to be abused, especially since Americans contribute to the program through their monthly phone bills,” McCaskill, who is up for reelection, wrote in a formal letter to the FCC. “The current requirements to determine eligibility often do not require customer documentation for participation in Lifeline, which may result in individuals receiving phones who should not be.”

Rep. Tim Griffin (R., Ark.) has introduced legislation to restore the program to its originally intended purpose—providing landlines for use in emergencies—and stop the federal government from issuing free cell phones. Griffin told the Daily Caller he had heard reports of individuals receiving dozens of phones, some of which were of the expensive smartphone variety.

The FCC in response to such pressure announced in February 2012 to reform the program and “reduce the potential for fraud while cutting red tape for consumers and providers.”

THE ALL AMERICAN FOREIGN POLICY: STAND WITH FRIENDS, STAND AGAINST ENEMIES, PROJECT LIBERTY

“Hope is not a strategy.”

Governor Romney gave the cornerstone foreign policy speech for his campaign Monday at the Virginia Military Institute.

Some were reminded of, “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!” Did he match that in strength and power of leadership? I don’t know but. Governor Romney had the right tone and the right vision. For example, Romney declared these are bedrock principles:

“America must have confidence in our cause, clarity in our purpose, and resolve in our might. No friend of America will question our commitment to support them. No enemy that attacks America will question our resolve to defeat them. No one anywhere, friend or foe will question our ability to back up our word.”

There were times you caught President Kennedy, times you thought of President Reagan and yes, lines brought up President George W, Bush. This speech was given to and for the ears of the American voter, the foreign policy and military establishments and the ears, passions and agendas of friends and adversaries across the world. Governor Romney concluded with this lift:

 “[Around the world] the question is asked, ‘where does America stand?’ I know many Americans are asking a different question, ‘Why us?’ I know many Americans, with our ailing economy and massive debt and 11 years of war, are asking if America is capable of leading. I believe that if America doesn’t lead, others will—others who don’t share our interests and our values and the world would grow darker for our friends and for us. America’s security and the cause of freedom cannot afford four more years like the last four years. I’m running for president because I believe the leader of the free world has a duty to our citizens and to our friends everywhere to use America’s great influence wisely, with solemnity and without false pride, but also firmly and actively, to shape events in ways that secure our interests, further our values, prevent conflicts and make the world better—not perfect—but better. Our friends and allies across the globe do not want less American leadership, they want more: more of our moral support, more of our security cooperation, more of our trade, more of our assistance in building thriving economies. So many people across the world still look to America as the best hope of humankind. So many people still have faith in America. We must show them that we still have faith in ourselves—that we have the will and the wisdom to revive our stagnant economy, to roll back our unsustainable debt, to reform our government, to reverse the catastrophic cuts now threatening our national defense, to renew the sources of our great power, and to lead the course of human events.

Sir Winston Churchill once said of George Marshall: “He … always fought victoriously against defeatism, discouragement, and disillusion.” That is the role our friends want America to play again. And it is the role we must play.

The 21st century can and must be an American century. It began with terror, war, and economic calamity. It is our duty to steer it onto the path of freedom, peace, and prosperity.

The torch America carries is one of decency and hope. It is not America’s torch alone. But it is America’s duty—and honor—to hold it high enough that all the world can see its light.

THE OBAMA LEGACY: LAWLESSNESS SCANDAL AND COVER-UP—BOMBSHELL FROM SHANGHAI

President Obama, 2010 State of the Union Address “I don’t think American elections should be bankrolled by America’s most powerful interests, and worse, by foreign entities.”

President Obama now has a record—unemployment, deficit spending, soaring Federal debt. You know the story. But, 30 days before the polls close, a firestorm of Obama-tied lawlessness, scandal, deception and cover-up is about to burst into the world of every American. Oh the Obama campaign operation, the Obama Administration and the fraud media are working diligently and intensely on the cover-up and deception. But the lawlessness and scandal is too wide and broad and deep to contain completely. It is leaking out. Now, even that doesn’t matter, a bombshell from Shanghai exploded Monday. Let’s start with this Breitbart.com story:

Breitbart News obtained an advance copy of the bombshell report which reveals that the Obama.com website is not owned by the president’s campaign but rather by Obamabundler Robert Roche, a U.S. citizen living in Shanghai, China. Roche is the chairman of a Chinese infomercial company, Acorn International, with ties to state-controlled banks that allow it to “gain revenue through credit card transactions with Chinese banks.”

There’s more.

The unusual Obama.com website redirects traffic directly to a donation page on the Obama campaign’s official website, my.barackobama.com, which does not require donors to enter their credit card security code (known as the CVV code), thereby increasing the likelihood of foreign or fraudulent donations. The website is managed by a small web development firm, Wicked Global, in Maine. One of Wicked Global’s employees, Greg Dorr, lists on his LinkedIn page his additional employment with Peace Action Maine and Maine Voices for Palestinian Rights. According to the GAI report, 68 percent of all Internet traffic to Obama.com comes from foreign visitors.

And still more.

In 2011, Mr. Roche obtained one of the most sought-after pieces of real estate in Washington, DC: a seat at the head table for President Obama’s State Dinner for Chinese President Hu Jintao. How Roche—a man whose infomercial company hawks fitness equipment, cell phones, and breast enhancement products—landed a seat alongside Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former President Bill Clinton, Sen. John Kerry, former President Jimmy Carter, and Chinese President Hu Jintao remains unclear.

Since 2009, White House Visitor Logs list the name Robert Roche at least 19 times, despite the fact Mr. Roche’s primary residence is in China.

Mr. Roche, who is originally from Chicago, is a co-chair of the Technology Initiative for the Obama campaign.

According to Acorn International’s prospectus, the success of Mr. Roche’s company hinges on maintaining access to state-run media and “preferential tax treatments and subsidies” doled out by the People’s Republic of China (PRC):

Our business depends on our access to TV media time to market our products and services in China….PRC law is vague and is subject to discretionary interpretation and enforcement by PRC authorities…Loss of these preferential tax treatments and subsidies could have material and adverse effects on our results of operations and financial conditions.

In addition to the Obama.com redirect revelation, the Government Accountability Institute report—America the Vulnerable: Are Foreign And Fraudulent Online Contributions Influencing U.S. Elections?—exposes myriad gaping online security holes that stand to threaten the integrity of House, Senate, and presidential elections.

32 DAYS UNTIL ELECTION: UNEMPLOYMENT REPORT GOOD NEWS FOR PRESIDENT—NOT FOR AMERICA

The President and his campaign jumped on the news of a .3% one month drop in the “unemployment rate” kept by the Labor Department. They should have. But economists and critical observers greeted the number with disbelief. They may be right. This may be another scandal. But let’s, like my friends at Americans For Prosperity and Governor Romney, proceed, with character, as though the government figures are accurate. First the Americans For Prosperity 31 second video “The Dinner Table.”

At a rally in Virginia, Governor Romney seamlessly included the new number in his indictment of the Obama economic failure without skipping a beat. Watch:

President Obama in Virginia Friday, “This country doesn’t just succeed when just a few are doing well at the top.  It succeeds when the middle class gets bigger. Our economy doesn’t grow from the top down—it grows from the middle out.  We don’t believe that anybody is entitled to success in this country but we do believe in opportunity.  We believe in a country where hard work pays off and responsibility is rewarded, and everybody is getting a fair shot and everybody is doing their fair share and everybody is playing by the same rules.”

Parse this with me

“This country doesn’t just succeed when just a few are doing well at the top.”

(Which is why the Obama 4 years have been a disaster.)

“Our economy doesn’t grow from the top down—it grows from the middle out.”

(Trickle down government doesn’t work.)

“We don’t believe that anybody is entitled to success in this country.”

(Code for “We don’t believe in ‘The Pursuit of Happiness.”)

“we do believe in opportunity.”

(Can’t hurt, sounds good. Heard it at an Amway meeting.)

“We believe in a country where hard work pays off and responsibility is rewarded.”

(Work and rewards to be determined by Tsars and boards.)

(Of course we never define “fair shot” or “fair share.” What race are you? Check with your union boss.)

LIBERALS IN POWER HAVE FOUND SHARIAH AND JIHAD ARE POWERFUL TOOLS TO DESTROY FREEDOM

We the people must vote with confidence, character and courage to put candidates into power to defeat this attack on the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. We must do it this November.

U.S. District Judge Rosemary Collyer, ruled against the Declaration of Independence and the First Amendment to the Constitution and for compliance with jihad yesterday in her District of Columbia Federal Court. We must vote at every level, beginning with President, to defeat and end this permanently.

Before getting into the issue and case at hand, let’s find a bit of enlightenment at the EIB Institute for Advanced Conservative Study. Wednesday, in interaction with a caller, our professor, Rush, laid out the seamless unity that exists between the American left (liberalism) and Islamic Jihad/Shariah law. The entire lesson is worth a few minutes but here is the essence.

RUSH: See, both of them — both liberals and terrorists — have a lot in common. The one thing that they hate the most is freedom. The one thing that orients them toward their ideology is their opposition to freedom. You look at this suburban business. You look at the Obama and the suburbs. What really bugs him about it, as well as the financial aspect of it, is the freedom that people have to go back and forth that the wealth that they have earned provides them. A leftist and a terrorist — a leftist and a totalitarian — are one and the same. Anything that stands in the way of my freedom stands in the way of the American way of life. So I think when you ask me, you’re obviously bouncing off what I have said about the liberals looking at us as the greatest threat to their way of life.

It’s not inconsistent. We stand for freedom. That’s their biggest bugaboo. Freedom is what makes people different. Freedom and liberty is what allows different outcomes from person to person to person. It’s freedom that allows exceptionalism, freedom that permits greatness, freedom that results in differences. Well, if you look at Shariah law in Islam, they want everybody to live identically: Same rules, same way, same outcomes in life. . . .

 I have to say, though, folks, terrorism is the greatest threat, because we can still defeat liberals without violence. So terrorism still, of course, represents a greater threat than the Democrat Party. We can handle them without violence. So far.

New York’s living lady liberty, Pamela Geller, noticed three years ago anti-Israel, pro-Palistinian, pro-Shariah and pro-jihad ads were going up on public transportation. She swung into action founding the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI). AFDI sought contributions (I do) and prepared public bus signs. The response to her call to action was enough to fund bus signs in several cities. Each city had run bus signs that aggressively recruited for Islam while denigrating and misrepresenting Christianity and Christ Himself. Here is an example with phone number:

Anti-Israel and pro-Muslim signs had no trouble, push-back or questions. They went right up. Pamela, on the other hand, was uniformly given resistance and rejection. Pamela sued. She had (and has) extraordinarily gifted and effective pro bono legal representation from the Thomas More Law Center including chief legal counsel, Robert Muise. Often the case went to appeal but in every case, this freedom of speech prevailed. So signs like this with a Web address went up on public busses in several cities.

More than a year ago, Pamela and AFDI responded to months of vicious and vile anti-Israel and anti-Jewish ads in subway stations. She made application to put this

sign up in the New York subway system. AFDI was immediately rejected for “calling Muslims savages.” Geller of course had only called jihad savage. The liberal mind had been exposed. It turns out they connect jihad and terrorism to Islam and Muslims more broadly and quickly than does any patriot. It took Muise and his team a year to prevail in court. The signs went up and all hell broke loose in New York and broadly in the National media. (Google the phrase, “In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man,” and get millions of results.) Clearly the battle for constitutionally protected free speech in New York is not yet settled.

In the meantime, Geller took the battle to the subway in Washington DC. Same result.

Please read a summary of the proceedings. You will be astonished to learn that a U.S. Federal judge reacted to the sign calling jihadists (terrorists) by calling it “hate speech.”

BRIEF COMMENTS ON THE FIRST 2012 PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE

More than 60 million watched the presidential debate in Denver between President Obama and Governor Romney Wednesday night. It has been the major subject of discussion and analysis since the minute it ended. Most think that Romney won and Obama blew it; laid an egg. The left is particularly nasty about the Obama performance. No one needs another from me however let me offer brief remarks.

Yes, Governor Romney handily won the debate but President Obama did much better than media reports. He is likely to be much tougher in coming debates. Fortunately, what destroys him and his chances is the dismal record of his administration. It is a record that makes clear to the many Americans, who may pay only casual attention, that liberalism doesn’t work. Governor Romney has already demonstrated that he personally and organizationally will be tough enough to face the storm that is about to sweep down on him.

Governor Romney had the best and freshest lines. The best line and one that will last is:

We’ve tried trickle down government and it’s not working—and:

  • The proof of that is 23 million people not working.
  • The proof of that is one out of six Americans living in poverty.
  • The proof of that is going from 32 million on food stamps to 47 million on food stamps.
  • The proof of that is that 50%of college graduates can’t find work.

We know the path we’re taking is not working. It’s time for a new path.
