THE RIGHT MESSAGE FOR VETRANS DAY, 2010

It was just four days ago, in response to a question in Mumbai —the epicenter of terrorism in the world, President Obama said:

“But I will say that, first, Islam is one of the world’s great religions.  And more than a billion people who practice Islam, the overwhelming majority view their obligations to their religion as ones that reaffirm peace and justice and fairness and tolerance.”

Today a powerful bomb has ripped through a police compound in Pakistan’s largest city, Karachi, killing at least 15 people and wounding 100 others.  The Pakistani Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack.

Darn! It must have been that one guy, not affirming “peace and justice and fairness and tolerance,” that blew up that police compound in Karachi today.

BUT TODAY IS VETERANS DAY

Do we need to hear . . .

“And those circumstances — I think all of us have to fundamentally reject the notion that violence is a way to mediate our differences.”

. . . as we celebrate vetrans day?

I agree with you. Let us hear the perfect tone for this day from a President whose own character and patriotism is equal to the need, George W. Bush. This is the last 30% of the President’s address to Congress September 20, 2001. Listen and let your heart be filled with love of the United States of America, Liberty, and the men and women who defend them against jihad of evil.

Yes, Dubya, We miss you.

President Bush ended his November 11, 2001 Veteran’s Day proclaimation declaring:

In respect and recognition of the contributions our service men and women have made to the cause of peace and freedom, the Congress has provided (5 U.S.C. 6103 (a)) that November 11 of each year shall be set aside as a legal public holiday to honor veterans.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim November 11, 2001, as Veterans Day and urge all Americans to observe November 11 through November 17, 2001, as National Veterans Awareness Week. I urge all Americans to recognize the valor and sacrifice of our veterans through appropriate public ceremonies and private prayers. I call upon Federal, State, and local officials to display the flag of the United States and to encourage and participate in patriotic activities in their communities. I invite civic and fraternal organizations, places of worship, schools, businesses, unions, and the media to support this national observance with suitable commemorative expressions and programs.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this thirtieth day of October, in the year of our Lord two thousand one, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and twenty-sixth.

GEORGE W. BUSH

THE ESTABLISHMENT STRIKES BACK

REPUBLICANS NOT REMADE YET

We write here about a process that will take months or more likely years. The idea is to show specific needs for remaking the Repoblicans in response to some “ruling class” plan or action.  Some knew the size and scope of this project but it is much bigger than I anticipated. It has so many parts hidden from the likes of me and most likely you, gentle reader.

Joseph Ashby, pointed out, in the American Thinker, what the Republican elites think of what We the People (Tea parties) are up to. Revealing that the big guns are trained on Jim DeMint and Sarah Palin, Ashby wrote:

At the climax of the 1977 film Star Wars, hero Luke Skywalker destroys the evil Empire’s dreaded Death Star. The Rebellion’s celebration, however, is short-lived. The movie series’ next installment, The Empire Strikes Back, depicts the Empire’s use of its still vastly superior weaponry and manpower to reassert its authority.

In the 2010-midterm elections, the tea party movement has played the role of the Rebellion. But the Empire is not played by the Democrats. It’s true that the Democrat-controlled federal government was resoundingly defeated in the November 2nd general election, but that loss, unlike the destruction of the Death Star, was not a surprise. The real blindside was the tea party’s dismantling of the Republican Establishment throughout the primary season. For the insight we all need, go here for the rest.

DISGUSTING LIES FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE

The Obama Town hall for College Students, Mumbai India, November 7, 2010

FIRST STUDENT, “Hi, good day, sir.  Hi, my name is Anna and I’m from St. Davis College.  My question to you is, what is your take on opinion about jihad, or jihadi?  Whatever is your opinion, what do you think of them?”

President Obama:

“Well, the phrase jihad has a lot of meanings within Islam and is subject to a lot of different interpretations.”

The question was clear and simple demanding a direct answer. Our Noble Ruler  er, I mean, Nobel Laureate skated.

“But I will say that, first, Islam is one of the world’s great religions.  And more than a billion people who practice Islam, the overwhelming majority view their obligations to their religion as ones that reaffirm peace and justice and fairness and tolerance.”

This is a lie.

  • This man is not ignorant. He intentionally lied. He knew a brutal Jihadi attack took place in Mumbai just two years ago killing nearly 200 and wounding hundreds more and he knew those students know it. Jihadis terrorized Mumbai in 1993 killing more than 250 and wounding 700 in 13 coordinated bombings. This has been a 17 year unabated reign of terror and it continues.
  • Islam is not a great religion. Since Mohammed conducted the first Jihad, 622-632, Jihad has caused more than 240 million deaths worldwide. The average is more than 172,000/year for nearly 14 centuries. That is 19,286,000 per century. Keep in mind firearms have existed for only 700 years. Real explosives have been around less than 150 years, invented by Alfred Nobel himself.
  • The overwhelming majority of Muslims view their obligations to their “religion” as one that affirms Shariah law. One aspect of this system is all women and girls live in slavery.
  • This is not a religion. Islam is a system of control and oppression. In any case, this monotheistic Allah is not the God of the Holy Bible.
  • Peace, justice, fairness and tolerance are not included in Shariah.

We have parsed three sentences. Go ahead work the rest of this pitiful embarrassment over yourself.

“I think all of us recognize that this great religion in the hands of a few extremists has been distorted to justify violence towards innocent people that is never justified.

“And so I think one of the challenges that we face is how do we isolate those who have these distorted notions of religious war and reaffirm those who see faiths of all sorts — whether you are a Hindu or a Muslim or a Christian or a Jew or any other religion, or your don’t practice a religion – that we can all treat each other with respect and mutual dignity, and that some of the universal principles that Gandhi referred to — that those are what we’re living up to, as we live in a nation or nations that have very diverse religious beliefs.

“And that’s a major challenge.  It’s a major here in India, but it’s a challenge obviously around the world.  And young people like yourselves can make a huge impact in reaffirming that you can be a stronger observer of your faith without putting somebody else down or visiting violence on somebody else.

“I think a lot of these ideas form very early.  And how you respond to each other is going to be probably as important as any speech that a President makes in encouraging the kinds of religious tolerance that I think is so necessary in a world that’s getting smaller and smaller, where more and more people of different backgrounds, different races, different ethnicities are interacting and working and learning from each other.

“And those circumstances — I think all of us have to fundamentally reject the notion that violence is a way to mediate our differences.”

STOP CALLING ISLAM A RELIGION OF PEACE

If You Are a Christian or Jew, It Is Blasphemy!

(If you are any religion other than Islam, it is insanity.)

Actually this assault on human civilization, called Islam, has hijacked the very definition of the word Religion. This system of degradation, assault, terror and control should never be called a religion. Please inform yourself and rethink this label. What has me so riled?

A week ago we were all involved in events leading up to and through the American election. So, we could easily have missed this news.: Christian Church Terrorized by Muslims in Iraq. Please go to the link. You must look this evil in the face.

No you did not miss it. It was not reported.

How many are dead? I don’t know. The first day 58 were reported dead. The last report I saw was 80 Christians (of all ages) were beheaded! We must prayerfully resolve, starting now, to learn what we need to know and do what needs to be done to needs to be done. If you have a pacifist pastor, get a new pastor or get a new church. But that terror in Bagdad was not all. Start your education with this piece at Atlas Shrugs.

NEWT AT RESTORATION WEEKEND,2009

Clarity and Focus for the Next Three Years.

David Horowitz, who runs Front Page Magazine online, is the founder of a critically important annual event, Restoration Weekend. The 16th annual event is coming up this month.

Newt Gingrich was the keynote speaker last year. Newt was predictably:

  • Witty, “They [liberals] get up in the morning and know the answer is government. They just don’t know what the question is yet.”
  • Pointed, clear and relevant, “The system is broken and you have to think about replacement not reform.”
  • Profound, “You have to build a program deep enough, so when people get elected, they know what they are going to do from the first day or they get absorbed by the old order.

Here you go. Here’s your clarity and focus for at least the next three years.

VETTING? OR WE THE PEOPLE

What If Delaware Had Used Vetting Instead of a Primary Where “We the People” Chose the General Election Candidate?

We have had talk for at least three weeks from the Republican Political Class about the damage done as We the People chose weak Republican candidates who were just not up to the task. The criticism, of course, did not name “We the People,” the criticism named the Tea Parties. These candidates were just not Vetted! Now take Deleware. Christine O’Donnell beat the eighteen times vetted Mike Castle in the Republican primary. Clearly the Republican Political class worked hard for Mike.

But We the People inexplicably voted for that Tea Party favorite, Christine O’Donnell, not Castle. O’Donnell was just the kind of person we need in the Senate. Forget party and take a look at that Senate class of 2012 posted here November 4th. How many of those 33, Democrat, Republican or Independent would you really choose over O’Donnell? Right, I know. The good news is 2012 is coming.

We do know many of the missteps O’Donnell has made. More importantly, we do know she would have not have qualified as a Democrat candidate at all. O’Donnell, as pointed out by, Cliff Thier at the American Thinker, O’Donnell never:

  •
    • drove drunk off a bridge.
    • left a woman to drown to death because she was unsure of how it would affect her career.
    • took a bribe.
    • used her office to protect a bank her husband owned shares in.
    • had sex with an intern
    • cheated on her taxes
    • did cocaine and then wrote about how hilarious that was.
    • pardoned felons in exchange for campaign contributions
    • destroyed evidence of a crime
    • perjured herself before a grand jury
    • belonged to the Ku Klux Klan

Tea Party or just plain We the People are picking the ones who are prepared for office in this Great Awakening. We shall see that having the Senate in Democrat hands will be an advantage as we continue to remake the Republican party and help Obama prepare to leave a smaller carbon footprint as he travels.

OBAMA COMMITTED TO CONTINUE IN THE WRONG DIRECTION

It is not deep.

Michelle Obama, in the last weeks before the election, “This election is gonna make a statement about whether, you know, Barack’s power and support is as deep.  There are people who are questioning whether his support is as deep, you know?  They want to make out like, well, this is just a one-time thing.”

Statement made, It was just a one time thing, baby. They have come home to their country, America!

So after telling us “I won, you lost.” and while we tolerate you, “we don’t want to hear a lot of talki’n.” and just last week, you have to get out and “fight the enemy.” and  “you [us] can ride along but you have to sit in the back.” So Thursday . . .

Obama Tells Left-Wing MoveOn: I Will Fight GOP (NEWSMAX)

President Barack Obama may have expressed humility [I did not see any] during his conciliatory news conference Wednesday over the shellacking he took in the midterm elections, but just hours after speaking to the nation, he made it very clear in a phone call to left-leaning activist group MoveOn that he is not willing to compromise his core beliefs.

“We always knew bringing about change in Washington wouldn’t be easy, and it might get tougher in the days ahead,” Obama told the liberal organization’s supporters a day after Republicans won the House in a landslide. “The message I took away from the elections is very simple: The American people are still frustrated. They still want change; we just have to work harder to deliver the change the American people want.”

Obama said he and activist organizations like MoveOn must work harder pushing the progressive agenda “until every American sees real change in their own lives . . . We didn’t sign up for doing what was easy, we signed up for doing what was right,” he said of his policies to fix America. “We are going to continue to take all the time it takes —and all the effort it takes— to get our country back on track.”

Obama wants MoveOn to keep the spirit of hope and change alive because it helps him translate that spirit into accomplishment.

“To those who began the journey with me almost four years ago, think about how far we’ve come,” Obama said. “Think about the ups and downs we went through during the course of the campaign. There were times when folks counted us out and we always came back. The same thing is going to happen over the next two years, and the next six years.”

Very hopeful sign:

In a very hopeful sign that We the People are remaking the Republicans, Senator Mitch McConnell speaking to theHeritage Foundation said, in part:

“This isn’t a reason for Republicans to gloat. It’s a time for both parties to realize who’s really in charge – the people – and to be grateful for the opportunity we now have to turn this ship around.”

The Kentucky senator argued in his speech at the Washington D.C. think tank that Tuesday’s midterm elections were a “a referendum” on the Obama administration, and that Republicans had a mandate to fight White House policies on health care, spending, tax cuts, stimulus money and all other “job-killing regulations.”

“On health care, that means we can – and should – propose and vote on straight repeal, repeatedly,” McConnell urged.

“If the administration wants cooperation, it will have to begin to move in our direction,” he said.

UNITED STATES SENATE CLASS I (2012)

I KNOW YOU AGREE, IT IS NOT TOO EARLY!

We will all be watching the Congress as they have their “lame duck” session this month. It is not too early to measure the performance of those Senators whose terms are up in 2012. They should know now that “We the People” are watching. These races should and will be National just as those concluded Tuesday.

There will be 33 Senators who will retire or stand for re-election in 2010. They will all be raising campaign contributions in 2011. Of the 33, nine are Republicans two are Independents and twenty two are Democrats. This is the year we can and must cleanse the Senate of the leftists and big government types of all kinds. STARTING THE VESTED INTEREST LIST

TODAY IS THE START I do not agree with Dan Freeman’s label, “The new Axis of Evil,” for his list at Big Government, but the list is a great start. Wheather or not Dan continues with this project, we will here. But we start today with Dan’s dirty dozen:

“No doubt, the list can be debated and expanded, but here, at least is a starting point—the dirty dozen if you will, with a few prime examples included.

  1. Old Media (ACB, CBS, CNN, NBC, NPR, NY Times)
  2. Engorged Public Unions (SEIU, NEA, AFSCME)
  3. Global Socialist Elites (Robert McChesney, Andy Stern, George Soros)
  4. Liberal “Think” Tanks (Media Matters, Center for American Progress, ThinkProgress)
  5. America Hating Academics (Noam Chomsky, Paul Krugman )
  6. Professional Victims Groups (La Raza, CAIR, NAACP, NOW)
  7. Community Disorganizers & Activists (ACORN, Code Pink, ACLU)
  8. Environmental Redistributionists (Greenpeace, EDF)
  9. Social Justice Preachers (Jeremiah Wright, Reverend Jim Wallis)
  10. Progressive Hollywood Elites (Oliver Stone, Sean Penn)
  11. Bloated Federal Bureaucracy (DOE, DOA, TSA)
  12. Public/Private Colluders (AAPR, Government Motors, Goldman Sachs)

It almost goes without saying (but here I’ll say it anyway)—there are many good people scattered among these institutions.”

We will add to the list until we cannot uncover new vested intrests. For today, here are a few examples: AARP, VFW, AMA, NRA. Yes, the NRA.

WRIGHT’S REASONS TO VOTE DEMOCRAT

Perfect for a “Ben Franklin Balance Sheet.”

Meet Liberty University’s C. Edmund Wright. He has an Internet pad at the American Thinker, one of my favorite spots on the Web. Tuesday (election day) he gave us thirty six reasons to vote Democrat. I suggest you copy these and keep them in your pocket with your other valuables. Here’s Wright and his reasons:

“In the spirit of bipartisanship, I humbly offer this learning tool to help folks decide whether or not they really do want to vote Democrat in the 2010 midterms.

  1.  If you want the American government to be feared by the American people — but laughed at by Hugo Chávez and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad — vote Democrat.
  2. If you want to agree with John Kerry that American voters are stupid and distracted and uninformed — vote Democrat.
  3. If you moved your 7-million-dollar yacht to Rhode Island to avoid taxes — vote Democrat.
  4. If you want a “dude” president — and not the shining city on a hill — vote Democrat.
  5. If you want to pay through the nose in taxes until you are 70 so union thugs in purple shirts can retire in security at age 50 — vote Democrat.
  6. If you like the fact that people who actually know the Constitution get laughed at by people who are ignorant of it — vote Democrat.
  7. If you want the entire country to be like Detroit, Philadelphia, New York, New Orleans, Chicago — vote Democrat.
  8. If you fear the Chamber of Commerce more than you do the Ground Zero Mosque — vote Democrat.
  9. If you think liberalism and socialism have done a good job of managing the incredibly beautiful and rich state of California, vote Democrat.

10.  If you want a government bureaucrat, who can no doubt access your voter registration records, to determine whether or not you get a hip replacement or a cancer treatment — vote Democrat.

11.  If you want to pay six dollars a gallon for gas — vote Democrat.

12.  If you want electricity bills to “necessarily skyrocket” — vote Democrat.

13.  If you think America deserved what it got on 9-11 — and that we can handle another such attack — vote Democrat.

14.  If you think that Club Gitmo, which was not even operational on 9-11, is why “they hate us” — vote Democrat.

15.  If you think our economy will boom with government bureaucrats making twice what similar folks make in the private sector — vote Democrat.

16.  If you think there’s nothing wrong with Jerry Brown admitting that the last time he ran for governor of California, he “had no plan” — vote Democrat.

17.  If you think anything has changed about Jerry Brown and his plans — vote Democrat.

18.  If you liked Richard Blumenthal’s answer in the Connecticut debate on “how to create a job” — vote Democrat.

19.  Actually, if you can even decipher Blumenthal’s answer about creating a job — vote Democrat.

20.   If you think Michelle Obama actually added value to the health care system with her no-show three-hundred-thousand-dollar job in Chicago — vote Democrat.

21.  If you think John Edwards is sexy — regardless of your gender — vote Democrat.

22.  If you think civil rights means that all white Americans are by definition guilty and all African-Americans are by definition innocent, vote Democrat.

23.  If you are stupid enough to think that being against a Federal Department of Education is the same as being against education — vote Democrat.

24.  If you want to vote the same way the dead are voting — vote Democrat.

25.  If you want to vote the same way the felons are voting — vote Democrat.

26.  If you like the fact that our military men and women are being disenfranchised — vote Democrat.

27.  If you think Cuba is a success story — vote Democrat.

28.  If you think that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac crashing the housing market is an example of “unfettered capitalism” and a failure of the free market, then vote Democrat.

29.  If you think that smart businesspeople will sit around and let our government tax them out of existence before they move their operations overseas — vote Democrat.

30.  If you think it helps you if your boss gets hit with a huge tax bill — vote Democrat.

31.  If Chris Matthews gives you a tingle up your leg — instead of an upset stomach – then vote Democrat.

32.  If you think insurance companies can lower rates, pay for every small medical item — and every preexisting condition — and every illegal alien — and stay in business — vote Democrat.

33.  If you agree with the French union protesters upset about having to delay retirement for two years to age 62 — vote Democrat.

34.  If you think a rally sponsored by Arianna Huffington, the SEIU, and the DNC is a non-political rally — vote Democrat.

35.  If you think electric cars are the answer because they don’t use energy — vote Democrat.

36.  If you don’t want Nancy Pelosi to retire — vote Democrat.

I hope this has helped any undecided voters.”
