Like Sarah Palin, Speaker Newt Gingrich was invited to give an important message to American Conservative activists at CPAC 2015.
“I came to have a bold conversation about Radical Islamism in a time when we have a President and a Secretary of State who clearly have no concept what planet they’re on and have no idea what universe they’re in.”
“This is a genuine threat”
“ISIS is a piece of a worldwide global threat; but ISIS isn’t the threat. Boco Haram is a piece of a worldwide global threat but it isn’t the threat. The threat is a worldwide movement of radical Islamists who come in two wings. No one in this country wants to talk about it.
“There’s the violent wing. The violent wing is in the ISIS tradition of saying we’ll either cut off your head or burn you alive or you get to convert. Just tell us which future you prefer. And that’s horrifying. But it may not be the most deadly wing.
“The other wing is the one which believes the war can be waged in the cultural/political environment. And if they can pervert and destroy your society peacefully they are perfectly happy. They don’t need violence. They just want to make sure that the things we believe in disappear.
“We are at war with radical Islam.”
These serious thoughts from Speaker Gingrich are profoundly important. Listen now:
