Senator Rubio, like Governor Bush, had several more minutes than most because, rather than being briefly questioned by an ACU member, he was interviewed by Sean Hannity for 15 minutes. Senator Marco Rubio was, at times, less than successful with applause lines but his remarks were filled with profound and compelling lines! I strongly promoted Senator Rubio to win a Senate seat held by a Democrat at the 2010 Liberty List and have great affection for him. At 43, he strongly reminds those of a certain age of John Kennedy. He is not my first choice for the Republican nomination. I sense he needs more “Presidential seasoning.” Body language during the Hannity interview is an example.
Here is the perfect profound example of Senator Rubio:
“The question before us in the election of 2016 is what kind of country we will be. Americans know we are exceptional and do you know who else knows we’re exceptional? The World does. After all, when was the last time you heard about a boatload of American refugees arriving on the shores of another country?”
He did have some outstanding applause lines. An example: “Imagine if we had a President who did not spend his time badmouthing America—after all, that’s the U.N. job.”
You must watch this—if for no other reason, his personal testimony about his family coming to America:
