RAFAEL CRUZ SPEAKS TO THIS PRESENT DARKNESS: JOY COMMETH IN THE MORNING!

“When I lost my freedom in Cuba, I had a place to come. If we lose our freedom here, where are we going to go?”

If you are like me, you are inspired knowing America has patriots like Texas Senator Ted Cruz. Many hope he runs for President in 2013.

Rafael Cruz

Perhaps you do not know about his father, Rafael Cruz. As a Cuban youth, Rafael was for the Castro led revolution. The theme, “Hope and Change” sounded good to him. After escaping torture at the hands of the Batista Regime in 1957, Mr. Cruz fled Cuba to America. He returned to Cuba after the revolution only to discover “Hope and Change” turned out to be confiscation of property in the name of “redistribution.” (Spreading the wealth around.) Cruz returned to America with all of $100.

On the Cruz for Senate campaign July 2012 Rafael declared, “You know something? Proverbs 29 and 2 says, ‘When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people mourn.’ And there has been a lot of mourning in this country for the last three and a half years. But you know something? It is not time to despair. It is time to get encouraged because Psalms thirty verse five [b] says, ‘Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.’ And morning is coming! Morning is coming ‘cause we’re going to take this country back!”

Mr. Cruz was a featured speaker at The (Iowa) FAMiLY LEADERSHIP SUMMIT 2013 where he asked, “Where are the pastors?” As you make your choices for today, you won’t want to miss a word of this message for every single American Patriot as we work for America’s “Joy in the morning.”

MEET THE OBAMA RUN POLITICALLY CORRECT NO JUSTICE ARMY

Politically Correct.Army

America was attacked by Islamic Jihad terror November 5, 2009. U.S. Army Major Nidal Hasan, incredibly serving on active duty in good standing, obeying his faith, in the name of Hamas and to the glory of allah, attacked patriotic American military personnel at Fort Hood, Texas. Led by President Obama, the Army incredibly called the attack “workplace violence.” Go ahead and speculate on President Obama’s motives (the international diminishing of America, for example). The Army (in fairness the entire United States Department of Defense) is all in for wall to wall political correctness. Never mind the attack killed 13 and wounded 32 before Hasan was shot, an Army General echoing the attitude of the Department of Defense (and much of Government) bemoaned the attack as a “serious setback for diversity.”

Hasan self inage

Last week, nearly four years after the attack, the military trial of Hasan commenced. The results of a case dominated for four years by political correctness are devastating.

Hasan did not just admit to the killings and devastation, he proudly proclaimed it as a victory in the Islamic war on civilization. Hasan has long declared his commitment to jihad learned from then Imam Anwar al-Awlaki at the Falls Church VA Mosque. al-Awlaki was never charged but he tutored three of the 19 terrorists prior to the 911 attack on America. He was never charged as the Bush Administration (to be kind) was slow in seeing the domestic reality of many imams—especially al-Awlaki—running anti-American Mosques.

imam

Knowing his time was running our and committed to do more for the cause of Jihad, al-Awlaki emigrated before the end of 2002 and turned up in Yemen in 2005 where he became the top leader of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP).

Prior to his November 2009 terrorist attack at Fort Hood, Hasan had numerous email exchanges with al-Awlaki. In the meantime, his performance ratings were so low he should have never been promoted. All along the Army prized Major Hasan as evidence of their commitment and progress to diversity.

The Army will not let him plead guilty or proclaim, as he wishes, he is supporting the Taliban. Make no mistake, we will watch political correctness reign throughout this travesty of a trial. In the end Hasan will be happy, the Taliban will be happy, AQAP will be happy and the Army will be happy. They will never have to utter Islamic terror or Jihad and they will get a conviction on more than 40 counts of “workplace violence.” Could there be any problems with that?

Well yes. There is the mistreatment and abuse the victims and surviving families have suffered from the Army and President Obama. Here is the shameful story from Front Page Magazine. This will leave you outraged. You’re and activist? Call you congressman.

No Justice for Victims of Terrorist Nidal Hasan

Politcal Correctness Kills “I hear someone yell ‘Allahu akbar,’” Sergeant Shawn Manning told Army Times. “Usually something bad is going to follow after that, so I look up at him and he started shooting. He probably fired five or six shots before he shot me in the chest.”

Manning, a veteran of two deployments in Iraq, was referring to Major Nidal Malik Hasan, the U.S. Army psychiatrist who gunned down 13 and wounded 32 at Fort Hood, Texas, in November 2009. Nearly four years later the case is finally coming to trial but it is already clear that Major Hasan received more preferential treatment than his victims.

Hasan is still in the Army and retains his rank of major. The Army is still paying Hasan his full salaryand has received more than $278,000 since his arrest in 2009. The Army is also taking care of the paralyzing injuries Hasan sustained in the gun rampage. That was before Hasan shot the unarmed Sergeant Alonzo Lunsford once in the head and six times in the body. Lunsford played dead and then fled the building but Hasan chased him down and shot him in the back. The bullet is still there but Lunsford told reporters that the Army refused to cover an operation to remove it, and docked his pay when he was undergoing treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder.

It is OK.They died for diversity

“We don’t get passes the way Major Hasan got passes,” Lunsford told the New York Times. “Each one of us has gotten a raw deal somewhere down the line.” Shawn Manning still carries a bullet in his back and fights for the pay he lost due to the Army’s ruling that Hasan’s attack was not terrorism, therefore the wounds were not related to combat.

Hasan had been emailing terrorist Anwar al-Awlaki about the prospect of killing infidel American soldiers, and Hasan did everything but take out a two-minute ad on the Super Bowl to announce his jihadist intentions. True to form, he yelled “Allahu akbar,” before killing 13 people, more than twice as many victims as the first attack on the World Trade Center in 1993. On his website, Anwar al-Awlaki was orgasmic with joy that Hasan had done his duty. Even so, the Army refused to call Hasan’s killing spree terrorism, gun violence or a hate crime. Rather, the government proclaimed the mass murder spree a case of “workplace violence.” The trial is taking the same course.

Hasan, handling his own defense, claims he was acting to protect the Taliban, the Islamist forces currently battling U.S. troops in Afghanistan. Col. Tara Osborn, the Army’s replacement for judge Col. Gregory Gross, ruled that Hasan cannot make that claim in court. Col. Osborn also barred prosecutors from using the emails Hasan exchanged with Anwar al-Awlaki. Those also constitute evidence that the government and military knew about Hasan’s terrorist intentions and did nothing to stop him.

Major Nidal Hasan faces 13 charges of premeditated murder and 32 charges of attempted premeditated murder. If convicted under the Uniform Code of Military Justice he would face the death penalty but the chances that he would be executed are virtually zero. The U.S. Army has not executed an active-duty soldier since 1961, and the process is complicated.

Fort Hood’s commanding authority would have to affirm any death sentence for Hasan, and that would launch automatic appeals in two military courts. In the event that they upheld the sentence, Hasan could appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court. Further, any military death sentence must be approved by the President of the United States.

President Barack Obama’s first response to Hasan’s mass murder was brief, low key, and failed to ascribe any responsibility to Islamic terrorism. “We cannot fully know what leads a man to do such a thing,” the president said. Such breathtaking denial soon became official policy. The Obama administration’s Department of Defense issued Protecting the Force: Lessons from Fort Hood, which contains not a single reference to jihad or jihadists. Its only mention of “Islamic” is an endnote reference to “Countering Violent Islamic Extremism,” a 2007 FBI Law Enforcement Bulletin.

Rudy Giuliani, mayor of New York during the 9/11 attacks, recently testifiedthat “the elevation of political correctness over sound investigative judgment certainly explains the failure to identify Maj. Hasan as a terrorist.” The Obama administration’s description of Hasan’s act as “workplace violence,” Giuliani testified, wasn’t just preposterous but dangerous. The Fort Hood survivors know that is true.

Major Nidal Hasan took 13 lives but will likely retain his own. That may inspire other Islamic terrorists to embed themselves in the Army, which further places U.S. troops in peril. Based on the way Hasan’s case has unfolded, troops victimized by such terrorism can expect little help from the U.S. military and its commander in chief. So the troops might heed the counsel of Sgt. Shawn Manning. Whenever they hear somebody yell “Allahu akbar,” something bad is going to follow. To avoid death or injury, their best option could be to deal with it right then, by any means necessary.

WE ARE NOT ALL TRAYVON: WE ALL—OR MOST OF US—ARE INSANE

Some Miami lying “artist” and apparently seasoned protester named Ms. Houng displayed her outrageous depiction of the shooting of Trayvon Martin as a cold blooded assassination.

Lying Mural

Ms. Huong titled her lying trash, “We Are All Trayvon Martin.” It features a mirror so viewers can see themselves. It also has a likeness of Martin Luther King Jr., with blood running down his head.

No Ms. Huong, we are not all Trayvon Martin. To the degree we can identify with your sick message, we are insane.

The Huffington Post posted yesterday an August 5 story that Oprah, perhaps insanely, compared the tragic death of Trayvon Martin to Emmett Till:

We are all insane.O

In a brief clip that aired on Monday’s “Today,” Oprah Winfrey compared the killing of Trayvon Martin to that of Emmett Till, the young black boy whose brutal murder helped fuel the civil rights movement.

It was one of her first public comments about the case, which has seen African Americans and whites sharply divided about whether George Zimmerman’s acquittal was just.

“Trayvon Martin, parallel to Emmett Till,” Oprah told The Grio’s Chris Witherspoon. “Let me just tell you, in my mind, same thing. But you can get stuck in that and not allow yourself to move forward and to see how far we’ve come.”

Here is the (essentially accurate) Wikipedia account of the murder of Emmett Till:

Emmett Louis Till (July 25, 1941 – August 28, 1955) was an African-American boy who was murdered in Mississippi at the age of 14 after reportedly flirting with a white woman. Till was from Chicago, Illinois, visiting his relatives in Money, Mississippi, in the Mississippi Delta region, when he spoke to 21-year-old Carolyn Bryant, the married proprietor of a small grocery store there. Several nights later, Bryant’s husband Roy and his half-brother J. W. Milam arrived at Till’s great-uncle’s house where they took Till, transported him to a barn, beat him and gouged out one of his eyes, before shooting him through the head and disposing of his body in the Tallahatchie River, weighting it with a 70-pound (32 kg) cotton gin fan tied around his neck with barbed wire. His body was discovered and retrieved from the river three days later.

No Oprah, only insanity can find parallels between the Trayvon martin tragedy and Emmett Till’s brutal murder. Here are examples of the millions who insanely did:

Collage.We are all insane

You, Oprah, and the other millions are no different than Marxist (Maoist) radical, Kiilu Nyasha, who expressed her insanity in this rejection of the rule of law: Kiilu Nyasha

The long-awaited verdict in the Zimmerman trial was incredible – “not guilty.” Listening carefully to the trial judge’s detailed instructions to the six-juror panel (amazing in itself), including complete definitions of second degree murder and manslaughter, I was convinced that were they to follow her instructions, the verdict was bound to be guilty as charged or at least the lesser charge of manslaughter. After over 12 hours of deliberations, my worst-case scenario was a hung jury.

Yet how could I forget that this trial took place in a judicial system I’ve long known (through experience!) represents white-supremacist injustice and in one of the most racist states in the country – Florida, the nation’s second highest incarcerator and state executioner of Black men.

Off the top, how many other cases come to mind of a young Black man senselessly murdered by so-called law enforcers? Oscar Grant, Alan Blueford, Kenneth Harding, Amadou Diallo. In fact, a Black person is murdered by law enforcement every 28 hours. Are their lives valued?

An endangered, stereotyped group, Black and Brown male human beings top the prison populations and those slated for state murder. Black women and mothers are swiftly gaining a similar fate as more and more Black babies are literally born in prison.

That the Zimmerman verdict is racist is simply a fact

You can’t even imagine a reverse situation playing out the same way: A Black self-appointed neighborhood patroller with a loaded firearm follows a young White man, presumptively calling him a “f++king punk,” and after a scuffle, the unarmed White teenager is dead from a fatal shot to the heart. No arrest of the Black perpetrator is made for well over a month, or until White people take to the streets and raise hell. Now that’s really hard to imagine.

That the lawyer defenders of the murderer wanted jurors they could count on to render an acquittal meant they had to pick individuals they thought would devalue the life of a young Black man, just as the general society or U.S. population devalues Black life.

As a Black mother who raised a Black son, I readily empathize with Trayvon Martin’s mother and father. They have my deepest sympathies and condolences in this tragic loss and travesty of justice. I would urge them to turn grief into strength and find peaceful, insightful means to fight for real change in honor of their child.

My son was born on Jan. 21, 1960, and, politically naïve, I thought his birth on Inauguration Day was a sign that he was going to be the first Black president. How ironic.

As I began noticing society’s regard of my dark-skinned, curly-headed baby boy, I grew conscious that it was nothing like my viewpoint. I thought he was gorgeous.

Racism in the schools plus police brutality and murders of Black folks in the 1960s – culminating in the blatant murder of Black Panther leader Fred Hampton in 1969 – made me politically conscious. I joined the Black Panther Party and decided to take my son out of public school to home-school him. When he was 13, I so feared for his life, I gave him martial arts lessons and allowed him to devote full time to the art of self-defense. Eventually, he earned a 4th degree black belt in Choy Li Fut. To date, he’s never been beaten or arrested.

The media blitz over Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman has been in-depth, saturating mainstream news for days before, during and now after the trial – commenting on every aspect of this case, with sympathy clearly on the side of Zimmerman. It has completely obscured the current hunger strike by tens of thousands of California prisoners protesting prolonged solitary confinement.

Martin, who was shot 21 days before his 17th birthday, is always said to be 17 – perhaps to make him a bit more ominous – and every attempt has been made to assassinate the character of this teenager.

It brings to mind one very courageous 17-year-old Black manchild, our martyred hero Jonathan Jackson, about whom you’ll rarely hear a word.

Jonathan stormed the courtroom of Marin County, Calif., Aug. 7, 1970, armed to the teeth, where the trial of captive freedom fighter, James McClain, was providing real-life lessons on criminal injustice masquerading as equal justice.

Attempting to expose racist prison hell and free the Soledad Brothers, including his older brother, George, Jonathan was shot dead before he could drive the van out of the parking lot.

A great revolutionary and political analyst, George Jackson said in a May 1971 interview on KPFA just months before he was assassinated on Aug. 21:

“We aren’t getting justice in the courts, or we can’t get justice in the courts. You are aware that the district attorney and the judge were related by law [in McClain’s trial] …. And the collusion, all of us see it, the collusion – the prosecutors and the judges and juries, all working together, you know, the grand juries especially. And the control, the control the judge and prosecutor can exercise over picking of jury panels, impaneling a jury. The control they can exercise together completely eliminates all possibility of an impartial trial. And the vanguard is very much aware of that. Well, the people in general, Black people in general are becoming aware of that. …

“McClain wanted to use his trial as a demonstration of this thing that people are slowly becoming aware of – that the court process, the legal process is just a farce, a device to keep us thinking in conventional terms that perhaps we can get some relief in conventional ways, established ways. He wanted to use it as an example [author emphasis] ….

“I’m pretty sure he wanted to use the second trial as a demonstration that the entire establishment was working against us, and we should stop, we should stop accepting conventional, stop accepting the legal process as a possibility for solving problems …. In the process of liberating themselves, I’m certain that, I’m positive that they [William Christmas, James McClain and Ruchell Magee] were making a conscious effort to destroy the prestige of this last sanctuary the establishment’s using to stall off revolutionary culture.”

They killed George Jackson, but they couldn’t kill his spirit, his ideology, his lasting legacy of courageous, international organizing. He is so feared by prison officials that just having his name on a piece of paper can get a mainliner thrown into the hole indefinitely. And they say we have no power.

Let us please not allow the opportunists of the so-called Left or Right exploit this travesty to further divide us. We must not let this teachable moment escape again.

The system will not collapse on its own. Our Mao noted, “If you don’t hit it, it won’t fall.” And I’m not meaning that literally. We cannot use now the military tactics we once espoused in our self-defense over 40 years ago. We’d be giving our enemies the opportunity to simply escalate mass genocide, which they’re already doing in Africa and Asia.

George Jackson is so feared by prison officials that just having his name on a piece of paper can get a mainliner thrown into the hole indefinitely. And they say we have no power.

Let’s do take Jackson’s advice and STOP using these racist courts to solve our problems. Stop expecting justice from white-supremacist-controlled courts. The latest Supreme Court decisions rolling back our civil rights to vote, giving corporations unlimited power, etc., should have convinced us by now that there’s no justice, just us.

Millions of Trayvon Martins are trapped behind bars in either overcrowded, three- to four-bunk-bed gymnasiums or caged in solitary confinement in windowless cells endlessly.

Stop expecting justice from white-supremacist-controlled courts.

On July 8, 30,000 prisoners refused meals as the promised hunger strike began. It continues as I write this on July 14. No doubt the numbers are reduced as time goes by and suffering increases. What’s especially encouraging about this collective cooperation and nonviolent action is the coming together in recognition that there’s one human race and we’re all in it together, that an injury to one is an injury to all. That if we continue to allow the divide-and-rule strategies of our foes to keep us polarized – as they’re doing right now in the wake of the Zimmerman acquittal – we will only continue to see the clock turned backwards by the tiny fraction of the 1 percent that’s running the whole empire.

People are asking what they can do

Join the resistance, support the resisters, the hunger strikers, in every way possible, and organize, organize, organize.

We must throw our collective weight into stopping this rotten system in its tracks. We can say NO! again and again in a myriad of ways. And we can say YES! to changing ourselves and our politics. That involves first recognizing our own brain-washing and moving to become the new, nonracist, nonsexist, nonjudgmental human beings who believe in ongoing growth and development, mental, physical, emotional.

Understanding that we are all connected, we must nurture our collectivity through cooperative activities and attitudes.

Finally, have faith in the people (of the whole world) who in the final analysis will make the revolution.

The overwhelming majority of the world’s peoples are being dominated, exploited, incarcerated, tortured and oppressed by the tiny international oligarchy that comprises the global owners. But the wheels of industry cannot turn without us.

The overwhelming majority of the world’s peoples are being dominated, exploited, incarcerated, tortured and oppressed by the tiny international oligarchy that comprises the global owners. We’re talking billionaires and trillionaires at this point in history. But the wheels of industry cannot turn without us.

Power to the people.

To those who have read this far and find themselves in complete disagreement with what you just read and therefore are arguably sane, need to understand the insanity that has been loosed on America these past five years of divide and destroy by race. The road ahead will be troubled.

WHAT PHONY NAME SHOULD WE USE FOR THIS SCANDAL MR. PRESIDENT?

To quote you, Ambassador Rice and Secretary Clinton, it would be called the “phony crude and disgusting; heinous and very offensive, awful; hateful and reprehensible video” scandal Mr. President. That entire line—you promoted for two weeks—is certainly phony.

Here’s another idea Mr. President. How do you like the four “Bumps in the road” scandal?

Bumps in the road

The Heritage Foundation called it a “Disinformation Campaign.” The Disinformation Campaign Scandal; Do you like that Mr. President?

However our focus today is on the 3 dozen CIA agents that were in Benghazi September 11, 2013. The agents are missing Mr. President. The entire matter is a real scandal. We will call it the very real:

Missing Benghazi CIA Agents Scandal

The ones who, with the help of former navy Seals Glen Doherty, Tyron Woods, and David Ubben fought their way out of Libya. The CIA agents you and your government will not come clean on, Mr. President. The two important questions, Mr. President, are why were they in Benghazi and where are they now?

Let’s briefly address “Why were they in Benghazi?” Since you and former Secretary Clinton refuse any transparency on the matter we can only wait for Congressional, journalist investigators and leakers for the truth. For now we are limited to speculation. We reasonably speculate they were not on a legal American mission. There is evidence the American government was running guns and ammunition through Turkey into Syria provided by a government insider intimately familiar with the events that took place in Benghazi. Our insider calls the real CIA mission in Benghazi, “The Big Lie,”

“The big lie being told is that the U.S. is merely providing minimal support, including humanitarian aid to the Syrians so they can defend themselves from Assad. That’s the big lie that covers up what they are really doing in the region.

“The CIA compound in Benghazi was a logistics hub for weapons, but not only weapons from Libya. Weapons ordered by and destined for other countries, like Saudi Arabia, the UAE and other countries, knowing the plan, were allowing the weapons to be diverted, with Libya acting as the central shipping hub. When Assad falls and U.S. troops are called in for ground support, who will they be fighting? The Syrian army? No, they will be fighting the Iranian army, the Russian army and the Chinese army. Why? Because Iran, Russia and China all have a stake in the region. Putin called Syria his red line in the sand, and stated that WW III will start in Syria, not Iran.

“Benghazi is a moving target of little lies that serve as cover for the big lie.”

Until you and/or your government will tell us why those three dozen CIA agents were in Benghazi, we will need to settle for the word of our insider.

Now for question two, Mr. President, where are the 30 something CIA agents? Are they being secretly held? If so, where are they being held? Do their families know where they are; if not, what were they told? Are the agents and their families threatened if they come forward with the truth?

CNN and Jake Tapper have located some serious—I should say scandalous—facts, Mr. President. Go ahead and read it Mr. President. See if it corresponds with your information:

Exclusive: Dozens of CIA operatives on the ground during Benghazi attack

CNN has uncovered exclusive new information about what is allegedly happening at the CIA, in the wake of the deadly Benghazi terror attack.

Four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens, were killed in the assault by armed militants last September 11 in eastern Libya.

Sources now tell CNN dozens of people working for the CIA were on the ground that night, and that the agency is going to great lengths to make sure whatever it was doing, remains a secret.

CNN has learned the CIA is involved in what one source calls an unprecedented attempt to keep the spy agency’s Benghazi secrets from ever leaking out.

Read: Analysis: CIA role in Benghazi underreported

Since January, some CIA operatives involved in the agency’s missions in Libya, have been subjected to frequent, even monthly polygraph examinations, according to a source with deep inside knowledge of the agency’s workings.

The goal of the questioning, according to sources, is to find out if anyone is talking to the media or Congress.

It is being described as pure intimidation, with the threat that any unauthorized CIA employee who leaks information could face the end of his or her career.

In exclusive communications obtained by CNN, one insider writes, “You don’t jeopardize yourself, you jeopardize your family as well.”

Another says, “You have no idea the amount of pressure being brought to bear on anyone with knowledge of this operation.”

“Agency employees typically are polygraphed every three to four years. Never more than that,” said former CIA operative and CNN analyst Robert Baer.

In other words, the rate of the kind of polygraphs alleged by sources is rare.

“If somebody is being polygraphed every month, or every two months it’s called an issue polygraph, and that means that the polygraph division suspects something, or they’re looking for something, or they’re on a fishing expedition. But it’s absolutely not routine at all to be polygraphed monthly, or bi-monthly,” said Baer.

CIA spokesman Dean Boyd asserted in a statement that the agency has been open with Congress.

“The CIA has worked closely with its oversight committees to provide them with an extraordinary amount of information related to the attack on U.S. facilities in Benghazi,” the statement said.

“CIA employees are always free to speak to Congress if they want,” the statement continued. “The CIA enabled all officers involved in Benghazi the opportunity to meet with Congress. We are not aware of any CIA employee who has experienced retaliation, including any non-routine security procedures, or who has been prevented from sharing a concern with Congress about the Benghazi incident.”

Among the many secrets still yet to be told about the Benghazi mission, is just how many Americans were there the night of the attack. A source now tells CNN that number was 35, with as many as seven wounded, some seriously.

While it is still not known how many of them were CIA, a source tells CNN that 21 Americans were working in the building known as the annex, believed to be run by the agency.

The lack of information and pressure to silence CIA operatives is disturbing to U.S. Rep. Frank Wolf, whose district includes CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia.

“I think it is a form of a cover-up, and I think it’s an attempt to push it under the rug, and I think the American people are feeling the same way,” said the Republican.

“We should have the people who were on the scene come in, testify under oath, do it publicly, and lay it out. And there really isn’t any national security issue involved with regards to that,” he said.

Wolf has repeatedly gone to the House floor, asking for a select committee to be set-up, a Watergate-style probe involving several intelligence committee investigators assigned to get to the bottom of the failures that took place in Benghazi, and find out just what the State Department and CIA were doing there.

More than 150 fellow Republican members of Congress have signed his request, and just this week eight Republicans sent a letter to the new head of the FBI, James  Comey, asking that he brief Congress within 30 days.

Read: White House releases 100 pages of Benghazi e-mails

In the aftermath of the attack, Wolf said he was contacted by people closely tied with CIA operatives and contractors who wanted to talk.

Then suddenly, there was silence.

“Initially they were not afraid to come forward. They wanted the opportunity, and they wanted to be subpoenaed, because if you’re subpoenaed, it sort of protects you, you’re forced to come before Congress. Now that’s all changed,” said Wolf.

Lawmakers also want to know about the weapons in Libya, and what happened to them.

Speculation on Capitol Hill has included the possibility the U.S. agencies operating in Benghazi were secretly helping to move surface-to-air missiles out of Libya, through Turkey, and into the hands of Syrian rebels.

It is clear that two U.S. agencies were operating in Benghazi, one was the State Department, and the other was the CIA.

The State Department told CNN in an e-mail that it was only helping the new Libyan government destroy weapons deemed “damaged, aged or too unsafe retain,” and that it was not involved in any transfer of weapons to other countries.

But the State Department also clearly told CNN, they “can’t speak for any other agencies.”

The CIA would not comment on whether it was involved in the transfer of any weapons.

Monthly Polygraph Examinations, Mr. President?

How many ways are they asked if they told the truth—or any part of the truth—to anyone? Actually we don’t need you to answer Mr. President. CNN’s Drew Griffin has it for us right here:

The goal is to prevent anyone from talking to the media or Congress.

“You don’t just jeopardize yourself, you jeopardize your family as well.” “You have no idea the pressure being brought to bear on anyone with knowledge of this operation.”

Many millions of Americans offer thanks to God we have higher standards than you and your government, Mr. President. Enjoy your lavish time vacationing at Martha’s Vineyard.

Oh one last thing is certain, Mr. President, the light of truth will dispel the lies of this present darkness.

IF WE CALL EDWARD SNOWDEN A TRAITOR—WHAT SHALL WE CALL PRESIDENT OBAMA?

Just a year ago we were told al Qaeda was done, President Obama “got Osama bin Laden” in May, 2011 cutting of the head of al Qaeda and President Obama, with Drone strikes in Yemen that September, destroyed al Qaeda’s heart (Anwar alAwlaki) and body. More on this.

We were supposed to believe that Islamic terrorism could not recover from the loss of Osama bin Laden, the leader of al Qaeda, and of its number one source of growth, al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP). Large numbers of American voters indeed went to the polls last November firmly believing because, “bin Laden is dead and GM is alive,” we were safe from Islamic terrorism. Many of us have chronicled the growth and spread of al Qaeda linked terrorists for the past year. American patriots have been dismayed that our Government could only helplessly watch—not stop—the Tamerlan Brothers in Boston. We may not have been surprised but we should be pleased that we “intercepted chatter” about “something big” from al Qaeda linked terrorists that led to closing these 19 Embassies and Consulates:

Embassies Closed for Week

According to CBS:

The terrorism threat that prompted the U.S. government to close nearly two-dozen embassies and consulates surfaced when intelligence analysts intercepted electronic communications between top al Qaeda leaders, CBS News’ Bob Orr has learned.

Al Qaeda chief Ayman al Zawahiri and Nasir al-Wuhayshi, the leader of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), were discussing “something big,” sources say. It’s rare for veteran al Qaeda leaders to break operational security by openly discussing possible plots, and the interception stunned U.S. officials.

Sources confirm for CBS News that the intercepted electronic conversation occurred between the top leadership of core Al Qaeda in the tribal areas of Pakistan and the head of Yemen based al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula Nassir al-Wuhayshi

One source said that the tone of the conversation was serious and had a sense of urgency, reports CBS News senior investigative producer Pat Milton.

The source said the sense of the directive from al Qaeda leadership was pushing for AQAP to move forward with an attack. The source said that the urging was to have the attack coincide with the conclusion of Ramadan and to ensure that it was a “big” attack.

However there were no specifics discussed, making it unclear whether AQAP was being urged to execute a plot already in the works or to develop one and then carry it out.

AQAP, the most active and charged among the al Qaeda network, “is of particular concern” to the U.S., White House spokesman Jay Carney said Monday. The affiliate, he said, “has demonstrated both an interest in and a willingness to attempt serious attacks on the United States, our allies and our people.”

AQAP been battered by drone strikes. Deputy commander Saed al-Shihri was killed earlier this year, CBS News Orr reports. But, counter-terrorism officials warn AQAP remains dangerous and capable of inflicting serious damage.

While the U.S. intercepted the communications, the intelligence remains incomplete, leaving it unclear what the planned attack may entail. American embassies and consulates will remain closed in 19 Middle Eastern and African countries through Saturday.

Here’s the problem, there was highly classified American National Security intelligence in that CBS report—and every report in news outlets worldwide—that, unlike information leaked by Edward Snowden—will help our enemies and lead to the death of many Americans and untold other innocents.

Compare the Snowden classified leak and President Obama’s politically motivated release of National Security information just published worldwide.

Snowden

Some call the leaker Edward Snowden a whistleblower. Those would include his father and a real whistleblower and patriot Thomas Drake. But others angrily labeled him a traitor. Former Vice President Cheney, a hero of mine, vigorously denounced Snowden as a traitor. Cheney very likely had good reason. The more that is revealed about fourth Amendment violations in the Bush years, the more tarnished Vice President Cheney is likely to look. Another example is John Bolton, the foreign policy leader for those who think like me. I would be remiss if I did not include naming my friend, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann who declared that Snowden “jeopardized American safety when the NSA had done nothing against the law.”

Actually we do not know that the NSA had done nothing against the law. It is almost certain that the law is violated by some NSA operative on a daily basis. What we do know, that we did not know before, is that the NSA  gathers telephone, email, Web traffic patterns and usage and more about every American every second of every of every hour of every day. Any analyst at any one of several agencies can access that information at will. That alone should cause a citizen uprising. Perhaps in time it will.

I’m not interest in defending Snowden who left America. But let’s apply Congresswoman Bachmann’s standard for traitor as we turn to President Obama. The Bachmann standard for traitor is to jeopardize American safety (presumably by letting the enemy know our secrets). So let’s turn to President Obama and the handling of our National Security secrets in the past day.

O got bin

“Al Qaeda chief Ayman al Zawahiri and Nasir al-Wuhayshi, the leader of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula were discussing something big.” In my view, that the world—specifically including every al Qaeda terrorist from Ayman al Zawahiri and Nasir al-Wuhayshi on down—knows we had compromised the enemie’s phones. Those phones are gone. The “chatter” we were hearing has now dried up. How much time will it take us to compromise the enemy communication at that level again. Perhaps more important, how many secret sources did we compromise by revealing that we heard the plan made between the two top enemy leaders? For what? For Obama’s political benefit.

We are confident the producers of screenwriter Mark Boal’s Zero Dark Thirty received classified information about the search and capture/death of Osama bin Laden from Leon Panetta and the Department of Defense. Decide for yourself if Mr. Boal’s deal could have gotten inside sensitive information without a nod from President Obama. Here’s the Zero Dark Thirty trailer:

And here is a trailer from Dishonorable Disclosures: (The actual video is far more powerful and credible. Take the time to watch it):

President Obama is more dangerous than Edward Snowden. It is more important that we understand he has done more than anyone has ever done to diminish America and American interests. Early in 2009, he instituted this Foreign Policy, “If you are our friend, shame on you; if you are our enemy, shame on us. America has not been weaker or less respected in my lifetime—and perhaps ever—than she is today. We may not be able to successfully charge and convict President Obama of treason but we can when we encounter Obama voters let them know they bear the responsibility.

One more note on Edward Snowden. Snowden has done America damage. Not because he let Americans know the tip of the Government intelligence gathering iceberg on each and every American. We needed to know that.  But he ran to Hong Kong and, as you know, now has asylum in Russia. One should see that as a choice between the frying pan and the fire. If Mr. Snowden thought the restrictive “frying pan” heat of America’s heavy hand was too much, he should take a run at the heat of the heavy handed “Soviet fire.” Snowden is not a traitor but he is not an admirable patriot in any sense.

TERRORIST THREAT CLOSES 22 U.S. EMBASSIES—OBAMA WENT GOLFING

I’m trying to understand. It was reported Saturday that America closed 22 Embassies and Consulates in several Middle East countries. Why? That is the part that needs more verification. It apparently wasn’t done because of a “hateful video” that gave peaceful Muslims no choice but to riot and burn and bomb. No, it is said it is because of real threats from al Qaeda and al Qaeda linked terrorist (read Jihadist) groups.

Now we all know that President Obama “got Osama bin Laden” in May, 2011 cutting of the head of al Qaeda and President Obama, with Drone strikes in Yemen that September, destroyed al Qaeda’s heart (Anwar alAwlaki) and body. This would surely allow the Arab Spring to flourish in Tunisia and Egypt and spread bringing peace throughout the Arab world. We were told that the U.S. Mission in Benghazi September 11, 2012 was an angry reaction to that “hateful video.” Since al Qaeda was destroyed by President Obama, the September 11, 2013 Benghazi attack on American facilities could not be terrorists, we were told.

Vice President Biden had just declared that at the Democrat National Convention the week before Benghazi:

Oh, Oh. Perhaps we didn’t have the facts. Perhaps the Shariah enforcing members of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation in the Middle East are not building democratic societies after all. Could it be they foster (al Qaeda connected) groups that are out to destroy us. Let me check.

Quick! You better read this (they are closed):

The United States is preparing to close 22 of its embassies and consulates in a number of Arab countries on Sunday due to the “significant” threat of a possible terrorist attack, discovered thanks to the interception of communications among leaders of the terrorist organization al-Qaeda.

Embassies.CNN

“There is a significant threat stream and we’re reacting to it,” the Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman, Gen. Martin Dempsey, said in an interview with ABC television that will air this Sunday, though some extracts from it have already been broadcast.

Meanwhile the State Department issued a global travel alert to U.S. citizens on Friday warning of “the continued potential for terrorist attacks, particularly in the Middle East and North Africa, and possibly occurring in or emanating from the Arabian Peninsula.”

“Current information suggests that al-Qaeda and affiliated organizations continue to plan terrorist attacks both in the region and beyond, and that they may focus efforts to conduct attacks in the period between now and the end of August,” when the travel alert would expire, the State Department said.

According to officials cited by the CNN network, U.S. intelligence has information that al-Qaeda on the Arabian Peninsula, or AQAP, with headquarters in Yemen, “is in the final stages of planning an attack against U.S. and Western targets.”

The same intelligence agency has been monitoring “a growing threat” against U.S. and western targets by the AQAP for several weeks.

In a video released this week on the Internet, al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri again called for “every Muslim everywhere to do all that is possible to stop the crimes of the United States and its allies in Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, Mali and elsewhere.”

He also slammed Obama for using drones in the U.S. anti-terrorist offensive in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen.

Embassy scene.Egypt

Let me be sure I got that. The threat is from al Qaeda in Yemen and other al Qaeda connected groups in the region. The CNN map identifies 17 countries where there is a “significant threat stream” that al Qaeda is “a growing threat” against U.S. targets. Potential American travelers were warned about, “the continued potential for terrorist attacks, particularly in the Middle East and North Africa, and possibly occurring in or emanating from the Arabian Peninsula.”

Well what do you know? al Qaeda seems stronger than ever and potential terrorists attack will continue particularly [but not limited to] the Middle East and Northern Africa. Further, “al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri again called for ‘every Muslim everywhere to do all that is possible to stop the crimes of the United States and its allies.’”

Ambassador John Bolton declared, “The signal of American weakness is unmistaken.”

It seems clear we were mislead by Joe (that “three letter word, Jobs”) Biden. The only thing President Obama seems to have accomplished was get Americans killed in Afghanistan and Benghazi.

But President Obama went golfing Saturday at an Andrews Air Force Base course.

On the other hand the threat alert will almost certainly motivate TSA to check you more closely before you can proceed to your flight.

CRIS CARTER: THE NFL HALL OF FAME JUST GOT BETTER

I have been a Vikings and NFL fan for 52 years. No NFL receiver impressed me more than The Vikings Hall of Fame receiver Cris Carter. It is not even close.

Carter post Logo.1

CC.HOF.8.3.2013

Former Minnesota Vikings receiving great Cris Carter was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame Saturday, August 3, 2013. Carter ranks fourth in NFL receiving history. NFL all time statistical leader by a big margin is former Sam Francisco great, Jerry Rice, who is recognized universally as the greatest receiver of all time. That will not and should not change. But Carter did things routinely I’ve never seen any other receiver, including Rice, do.

John Breech, CBS Sports, wrote:

Carter didn’t finish his career with as many records or Super Bowl titles as Rice, but there are some that believe that’s irrelevant and that as far as being a pure receiver goes, Carter is the best to ever play the game.

“If you put Cris Carter with Joe Montana for 15 years, what do you think he would have done?” William White said, via the Akron Beacon Journal. White spent 11-seasons in the NFL and played against both Carter and Rice. White also played against Carter in high school and with him at Ohio State.

While Rice had Montana and Young, Carter went through a span in his career where he had five quarterbacks in five seasons: Warren Moon (1996), Brad Johnson (1997), Randall Cunningham (1998), Jeff George (1999) and Daunte Culpepper (2000). Carter also caught passes from Rich Gannon and Jim McMahon while he was with the Vikings.

“I would rather guard Jerry Rice than Cris Carter,” White said.

Chris Spielman, who also played with Carter at Ohio State and against him several times during a 10-year NFL career, agrees with White.

“I would say he is the best wide receiver I ever played with or played against,” Spielman said. “The guy I knew would never drop a ball. If I saw it going his direction when we were playing the Vikings, I said, ‘Hopefully we’ll knock it down before it gets to him.'”

CC.HOF.Block.1

CC.HOF.Block.2

Carter retired holding 19 Minnesota Vikings team records.

Here are some high points:

  • 122 Receptions in 1994 and again in 1995
  • 244 Receptions in two years most in NFL History
  • 1371 Receiving Yards in 1995
  • 17 Touchdowns in 1995
  • 1st in Receptions in 1994
  • 1st in Receiving TD in 1995(tied), 1997, and 1999
  • 13833 Career Receiving Yards
  • 129 Career Touchdowns
  • 8 Consecutive Years of 1000+ Yards Receiving

Carter was “judged” to have the number 1 greatest hands. You’ll enjoy the presentation:

I know about Wes Welker and I’ve watched Percy Harvin as much as anyone. Cris Carter was no question, hands down, the greatest possession receiver of all time. I do not remember a single time when he caught a third down pass short of the first down marker. There should be a teaching video of Carter making first downs. NFL receivers and coaches would study it as well as college and high school teams. There is a terrific Cris Carter Highlight video. Here it is—enjoy:

Carter’s induction speech was inspiring and emotional, not just for Vikings fans; it will move and inspire everyone who hears it. It is not on You Tube but you can click and watch the entire Cris Carter Hall of fame speech. You will be moved and inspired and do not be surprised to find a deepening of your faith!

AFTER 5 YEARS, A STATE OF FEAR IN OBAMA’S AMERICA

President Obama presides over a growing State of Fear

Alan Caruba, writing in the Canada Free Press, made a list of thing he notices Americans fear from Obama. The list includes these:

  • President Obama demonstrates contempt for the Constitution, the Congress and the courts.
  • Growing malaise and poverty has created a sense of foreboding in Americans.
  • Detroit is bankrupt—many worry, “Is my city next?”
  • Obama’s government has demanded Internet companies turn over customer’s stored passwords.
  • The NSA is building a huge new Utah complex to store information on all of us.
  • The National Defense Authorization Act permits the government to arrest and detain any American without recourse to an attorney or the courts.
  • The Department of Justice seizes journalist’s phone records and, in at least one case, investigates a journalist as a potential spy.
  • With huge Department of Homeland Security purchases of military equipment and firepower, what kind of uprising does DHS anticipate—and why?
  • Fast and Furious gunrunning and the murders it is causing.
  • The stonewalling and cover-up from the IRS after targeting, abuse, and intimidation of Americans became public.
  • The government takeover of on sixth of the American economy IS UNDERWAY through implementing the PPACA—Obamacare.
  • Benghazi: unprecedented, appalling and frightening.
  • Millions of Americans are not working at all or only part time but the President changes the subject.
  • Americans have real cause to fear the President and the prospect of living in a surveillance state where everything they communicate and everyone with whom they communicate can be identified.
  • Signs indicate the press toward tyranny will continue.

U.S. Department of Homeland Security Plans for War

Let’s focus on one bullet from Mr. Caruba’s piece: The military buildup within the Department of Homeland Security. Remember when President Obama and Secretary Napolitano took office, they and others in the new Administration began to swiftly separate Islam from terrorism. The DHS found new terrorist suspects—“Rightwing Extremists” 77 days after taking office. The DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis provided all levels of government (including tribal) this 9 page assessment prepared by the “Extremism and Radicalization Branch, Homeland Environment Threat Analysis Division, Coordinated with the FBI.”

Right Wing Assessment

Well there you have it. Rightwing extremists have been identified as the threat to Obama’s coming “fundamentally transformed” America. Not Islamic Jihadists. Not international and domestic drug dealers. Not North Korea. Not China, Not Iran, Not Russia. No, no the terrorist suspects to focus on are American Conservatives. “The information is provided to federal, state, local, and tribal counterterrorism and law enforcement officials so they may effectively deter, prevent, preempt, or respond to terrorist attacks against the United States,” The Assessment declares. Even though Secretary Napolitano said she withdrew the Assessment, the DHS leads a U.S. Government plan for military action.

Not including purchases of the Department of Defense, the Federal Government has ordered at least 2.1 billion rounds of high caliber ammunition since President Obama took office. Homeland Security accounts for more than 1.6 billion rounds. DHS has also ordered thousands of what Senator Dianne Feinstein calls assault weapons and hundreds of military vehicles.

How much ammunition is that—really? For perspective, at the height of the Iraq war, the military went through 5.5 million rounds a month. That means DHS is ready for an Iraq size war lasting more than 380 months. They actually seem more prepared for a USA size 4 year war. Keep in mind these calculations do not account for possible resupply from time to time extending the duration of a USA size war.

Update: Reader Mike Gay found my math in error. The mistake is pitiful, that total stockpile of ammunition is 380 months or 31 years and a U.S. size war a mere 4 years. Also it seems DHS considers the homeland most of North America and Greenland.

You might wonder what part of the world the United States Department of Homeland Security expects to hold its war. You may ask, “Who does the U.S. Department of Homeland Security—the Obama Government—perceive its enemy to be?”

DHS Armed Booth

Make your own guess. I’ll just point out that the purchases include “bullet resistant checkpoint booths.” Do not overlook the DHS is the government home of the TSA. Oh, I’m sorry, that is Transportation Security Administration. You have encountered the TSA if you have flown in the past 142 months. But, “We are not the Airport Security Administration,” declared Ray Dineen, the air marshal in charge of a TSA office. [Emphasis mine]

The TSA has taken ground travel seriously. It turns out the TSA has a secret counter-terrorism team that shows up in transportation centers going back at least to 2011. The secret team ran more than 9,000 unannounced checkpoints and other search operations in 2011 with expansion for last year. They have also showed up at highway and street intersections. Knowing those “rightwing extremists” as they do, it is natural to have an expanding supply of bullet-resistant checkpoint booths.

On the other hand it is possible the DHS 50 year war plan is not for the good old USA and our “rightwing extremists.” Perhaps the 50 year war plan is for some other country—with “rightwing extremists.”

Private Citizens are arming at a record pace. According to the far left group Think Progress, American’s privately own 270 million firearms. Many buy guns for personal protection against the fear of crime. Others fear new strict gun control legislation. Americans continue to find ammunition scarce.

Clearly many now fear their own government. We know liberals generally don’t like to have guns around. I am just asking. What if “rightwing extremists” own two out of three—or 180 million—of privately owned firearms? What if the average ‘rightwing extremist” has 100 rounds of ammunition for each firearm? They’d collectively have 18 billion rounds of ammunition.

Are you are one of those firearm and ammo owning “rightwing extremists?” Or do you know one of those firearm and ammo owning “rightwing extremists?” What do you think? Is the Obama Regime motivated to have access to your phone calls, your emails, your passwords, your bank and credit card records, your medical records, your Internet searches, your TV viewing habits or your radio listening habits? Do you think they want to be able to learn where you have been and where you are going?

With just this one example of Mr. Caruba’s concerns, it is clear why President Obama presides over a growing State of Fear.

PHONY SCANDALS OR PHONY PRESIDENT? PART VI—SECRET SPYING ON AMERICANS

“The very word secrecy is repugnant in a free and open society.” —President John F. Kennedy

The NSA scandal is not phony Mr. President, it is very real. But neither is it a real scandal such as, for example, Benghazi. The NSA is the prime example of many agencies with clandestine power that have grown since their inception; most after World War II. Some, like the NSA, really grew after 911. They all misclassify, with impunity, 10 times as much as the law allows. They are exactly what you were looking to find for your fundamental transformation. You, Mr. President, are the tyrant they had prepared and waited for. The marriage of tyrant and secret rogue system took place January 20, 2009.

This is only a scantily read Blog post, Mr. President. It will only grab a few obvious handles. But make no mistake, Mr. President, the subject is a blockbuster book and someone is writing it.

While we will not cover much today, what we cover in Part VI—Secret Spying On Americans is profoundly important. We’ll take an in-depth look at the NSA whistleblower and American Patriot Thomas Drake who you falsely charged with espionage, Mr. President, and your undercover agents, accusers and prosecutors manufactured evidence to frame Mr. Drake. While Mr. Drake successfully disproved the false charges, your team nearly destroyed the lives of virtually everyone who knew Mr. Drake on a personal or professional level. I invite you to take a seat, Mr. President, as I share Thomas Drake’s story with my readers.

Thomas Drake spoke to the National Press Club, March 15, 2013. His speech was titled, “In the Shadowlands of the Secrecy State: Preying On the First Amendment”

Here are a few high points before the You Tube presentation of the speech:

Thomas Drake

“The ‘Secrecy System’ is not to be used to cover government illegality, wrongdoing, hiding administrative inefficiency and ineffectiveness or health and safety; fraud waste and abuse. The ‘Secrecy system’ has become so corrupted, it is now being used routinely to do precisely that under the color and cover of law and when the color and cover of law is no longer sufficient, ‘Then we’ll just make up some rules.’ It’s unprecedented; I mean it is really unprecedented. This Administration has used the espionage act as a means and mechanism to prosecute 7 Americans for non-spy activity—Non-spy! When you are painted with the espionage act, you are put into the same category historically as the Aldrich Ames’ of the world. …

“We knew none of this was necessary. We knew there was no need to ever go to the ‘dark side.’ We knew that American exceptionalism was not getting away with breaking the law because we’re Americans. The exceptionalism is that the fundamental basis for our security is our liberties and freedoms. …

“There was never any need, despite what happened on 911 to ever have gone to the dark side. There was never any need—at that time—to violate in such a vast and egregious manner the foreign intelligence surveillance act and turn the United States of America into the equivalent of foreign nations with the purpose of secret surveillance. Why? Because they would tell me the following, ‘Tom, you don’t understand. We live in extraordinary times. We live in exigent conditions that require extraordinary means and exigent means by which we’ll deal with the threat. If we need to violate the rights of ordinary Americans, hey they have nothing to worry about if they have done nothing wrong.’ The problem is we don’t get to decide what it is that we’ve done wrong. …

“Did you know there is a plan right now in the Obama Administration to provide the intelligence community—the intelligence establishment—with any and all financial records. Any and All. What the heck is there left to defend? I mean if you end up taking away the essence of everything there is about you because there might just be a 1% or .01% chance that you’re doing something wrong . . . What’s happening is that we are in a pre-crime space where anything is suspicious—any and all data. I’m telling you that, in my case, I was utterly framed. Not only was information mischaracterized, it was misrepresented and, at times, even doctored. What does that tell you? Because it’s all done in secret; they’re the ones holding it. You become a target of the government. Remember I’ve been living this. I’ve lived this for five years.”

This is one of the compelling and important stories of our time. After about 6 minutes of National Press Club introductions, Tom Drake spoke for 14 minutes and answered questions for 40 minutes. Again, what you are about to watch is profoundly compelling and important.

A FALSE NATIONAL SECURITY NARRATIVE IS BEING FED TO US

Well, Washington got that straightened out. I revealed Wednesday (last week) that powerful pressure of the highest order was brought to bear to stop the (Amish) amendment to the DoD appropriation bill to rein in the NSA. The pressure worked as could be predicted. The vote was 205-217. Anti National Security Democrats were generally for the amendment and Constitutional TEA Party type conservatives, like me, were for the amendment. Washington insiders of both parties would be for the unlimited and uncontrolled NSA. It appears We the People are not in control of the U.S. House and Senate. It appears the powers at the DoD and clandestine agencies are in control. It seems that anyone who would not trust the IRS could simply not trust the NSA either.

To illustrate the pro-NSA vote (against the amendment), let me use the argument of the only Member of Congress that is a personal friend of mine, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann. She and I worked together for Conservative causes years before she went to Congress in 2007. I believe I can argue with confidence she would never have voted against the Amish amendment before she went to Washington. Remember, Congresswoman Bachmann is the founder and Chairman of the Tea party Caucus.

Tea Party Bachmann

Here, in part, is Bachmann’s argument on the House floor before the vote a week ago.

“A false narrative has emerged that the Federal Government is taking in American phone calls. That’s not true. A false narrative has emerged that the Federal Government is taking in the content of the American emails. It’s not true. That’s not happening. We need to deal in facts. The facts are real and the facts are these: the only people who have benefited from the revelation of classified information … is that those who are engaged in Islamic Jihad are the only ones who have been benefitted and those we seek to protect have not. Consider this, There is more information contained in the phone book that sets on your kitchen counter about each one of us than exists in the National security data base that we’re talking about today.”

This is a deeply flawed—nearly incoherent—statement. The very system my friend defends grew because of a false narrative that began nearly 12 years ago. The Congresswoman got her facts from NSA Director General Keith Alexander or his office. It is silly to believe or ask anyone else to believe there is more information in your phone book than the NSA—and many other agencies—have. It is very likely that some federal agencies have had or now have Congresswoman Bachmann’s phones tapped.

Forget about Edward Snowden. The real facts have been presented for the past 9 years by a small courageous group of whistleblowers—particularly William Binney and Thomas Drake.

How did Michele Bachmann and so many other American patriots get taken into the real false narrative? To understand we must go back to the attack on America and freedom itself by Islamic Jihadists September 11, 2001.

President Bush gave the Nation (and the World) exactly what was needed in his address before a joint session of Congress just 9 days later. He gathered the nation with the strength, resolve and clarity equal to the terrible and cowardly attack on America. His message was reassuring and inspiring. He laid out a vision for the road ahead. Unfortunately the seeds of the false narrative were in the Presidents historic speech. President Bush said in part:

“Our war on terror begins with al-Qaeda (the terrorist network associated with bin Laden), but it does not end there. It will not end until every terrorist group of global reach has been found, stopped, and defeated. Tonight we are a country awakened to danger and called to defend freedom. Our Greif has turned to anger and anger to resolution. Whether we bring our enemies to justice or justice to our enemies, justice will be done.”

“On September 11, enemies of freedom committed an act of war against our country. … All of this was brought upon us in a single day and night fell on a different world; a world where freedom itself is under attack.”

“Americans are asking, ‘Who attacked our country?’ All the evidence points to a collection of loosely affiliated terrorist organizations known as al Qaeda. They are some of the murderers indicted for the bombings in Tanzania and Kenya and responsible for bombing the USS Cole. Al Qaeda is to terror what the mafia is to crime. But its goal is not making money and imposing its radical beliefs on people everywhere.”

The President went on to define al Qaeda and the Afghanistan Taliban. He demanded the Taliban completely destroy al Qaeda and provide America verification. Then he said of the Taliban, “These demands are not negotiable. They will hand over al Qaeda or they will share in their fate.”

“With every atrocity [terrorist groups and their supporters] hope that America grows fearful retreating from the world and forsaking our friends.”

“Americans are asking, ‘How will we fight and win this war?’ We will direct every resource at out command; every means of diplomacy, every tool of intelligence, every instrument of law enforcement, every financial influence, and every necessary weapon of war to the disruption and to the defeat of the global terror network.” … “Every nation in every region now has a decision to make—either you are with us or you are with the terrorists. From this day forward any nation that continues to harbor or support terrorists or terrorism will be regarded by the United States as a hostile regime.”

“It is natural to wonder if America’s future is one of fear. Some speak of an age of terror. I know there struggles ahead and dangers to face. But this country will define our times not be defined by them.”

“Great harm has been done to us. We have suffered great loss and in our grief and anger, we have found our mission and our moment. Freedom and fear are at war. The advance of human freedom, the great achievement of our time and the great hope of every time, now depends on us.” … “Freedom and fear; justice and cruelty have always been at war. And we know that God is not neutral between them.”

After his address one commentator, General Norman Schwarzkopf, declared the President “didn’t just draw a line in the sand, he bulldozed a trench!” I felt the same. To this day a consider it a Providential blessing that George W. Bush was President on September 11, 2001 and in the ensuing weeks and months.

But that speech opened the road to unfettered unconstitutional actions unleashed on Americans by hidden agencies and forces. It also led to a false National Security narrative that, to be safe from terror, our government must consider all Americans suspects. The reason, in hindsight, is the suffocating blanket that is the false principal of Political Correctness. Political Correctness does not allow America to call our enemy by its name—Islamic Jihad. Here are the infected passages in President Bush’s speech and my perspective gained from nearly 12 years of study and experience:

“The Terrorists practice a fringe form of Islamic extremism that has been rejected by Muslim scholars and the vast majority of Muslim clerics—a fringe movement that perverts the peaceful teaching of Islam. The terrorist directive commands them to kill Christians and Jews; to kill all Americans and make no distinctions between military and civilians including women and children.”

Reliance

No, they do not practice a fringe form of Islam. The Jihadists are following Muslim scholars beginning with the top Sunni scholar in the world, Sheikh Yusuf Al Qaradawi, who is also the top religious authority of the CAIR sponsoring Muslim Brotherhood. They practice the Islamic scholarship that is studied and taught by Sunni Imams worldwide from the Classic Manuel of Islamic Sacred Law (Sunni), Reliance of the Traveller by Ahmad ibn Naqib al-Misri. No, the teachings of Islam are not peaceful. The terrorist directive is exactly the core teaching of Sunni Islam.

“I also want to speak tonight directly to Muslims throughout the world. We respect your faith. It is practiced freely by millions of Americans. And by millions more in countries that America counts as friends. Its teachings are good and peaceful and those that commit evil in the name of Allah blaspheme Allah. The terrorist are traitors to their own faith—trying, in effect, to hijack Islam itself.”

The teachings of Islam are not good and peaceful. Those that practice any and every form of Jihad do not see their action against freedom as evil. They see Islamic repression as good and freedom as evil. The terrorists, while they are hijackers of airliners, are not hijackers of their faith but rather faithful practitioners of Islam itself.

“We will direct every resource at out command; every means of diplomacy, every tool of intelligence, every instrument of law enforcement, every financial influence, and every necessary weapon of war…”

“No one should be singled out because of their ethnic background or religious faith.”

What we, the American Government, failed to ever commence was this: to simply focus on young Muslim men (and occasionally women). Instead, we focused on Americans. Here is where we went wrong and where many of our friends in elected office and public service, like my friend Congresswoman Bachmann,  developed the false narrative that to be secure, we must treat airline travelers, and others, as security risks and we must, with the highest level of classification, conduct secret spy programs on the American people. My fellow Americans, we must stop spying on patriotic citizens and, with effective profiling, focus on the Jihadists.

Noting the outpouring of support from around the world, the President mistakenly included prayers at a Mosque in Cairo. Those prayers, in Arabic, were for the Jihadists, not for America or the freedom it represents.

Towards the end of his address, the President rallied the country with a series of “we will come togethers.” Notably, one was, “We will come together to strengthen our intelligence capabilities to know the plans of terrorists before they act and to find them before they strike.”

We now know that we collect and store data and personal information on all Americans. We also know the spying and data collection system failed to acknowledge the obvious danger of domestic Jihadist, Army Major Nidal Hasan. To this day, it is officially and shamefully labeled, “workplace violence.” We know spying on all Americans failed to stop Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev the Boston Marathon bombers. In fact, America looked silly and inept, failing—even with a warning from the Russians of all people.

Then there is the matter of comprehensive immigration reform. We are told there are 11 million “undocumented workers” (illegal aliens) living in the shadows here in America. We are told we must pass comprehensive immigration reform so we can find them. We are told some 40% of them are here illegally because they have overstayed their visas. Yet we are supposed to believe that, if we simply accept government spying on all of us, terrorists won’t have a chance. To a rational mind it seems that if spying on all of us will stop virtually every terrorist, we could find those elusive “undocumented workers”—even in the shadows.

Let us begin today to reverse the false narrative foisted on us by Islamic Jihad and Political Correctness.
