QUITE A CHARGE.

No, this is not a post to prove the charge. That can be done anytime by anyone. (It will be done by me.) This is your introduction to my friend and brother, Lloyd Markus, one of the remarkable, committed, passionate, clear-thinking American Patriots in this present Great Awakening. We became friends through this great cause.

You are aware that the Democrats use race to gain power at the expense of Liberty and some portion of a (racial) minority –for example HERE. Black singer, songwriter and Tea Party Express spokesperson, Lloyd Marcus here. We just finished our Tea Party Express IV national bus tour rally in Columbus, OH. The crowd was electric with excitement, extremely eager to vote this Tuesday.

Back on the bus headed to our next rally in West Virginia, I opened this absurd email from a black liberal Democrat long time friend. My friend knows I’m conservative but still includes me in his emails to his black liberal Democrat friends. Attached to his email was a flier from 1833 promoting a slave auction/sale titled, “Public Sale of Negroes”. Here is the text of his email instructing his black friends what to do with the 1833 flier.
Hey Guys,
My niece sent this to me, along with an explanation of how she was using it.   She, along with me, think this may be one of the 2 or 3 most important elections in a lifetime.  Yvonne chose to send this to everyone of us on her email list, along with her personal note, asking them to pass it along.  She believes, and I agree, that anyone who will take the time to read this document will find it unconscionable to not vote this Tuesday.  Should you agree, please add your imprimatur and pass it along.  We need this election!!!!!  Thanks. Folks, how on earth can a reasonable thinking person tie the auction of black slaves in 1833 to Tuesday’s election. Rather than dealing with the real reasons why former Obama supporters are enthusiastically voting against his regime, Democrats can only resort to race baiting by ginning up fear and hate to inspire their lethargic base to vote.
I am continually amazed by black Obama-ites’ inability to look beyond race and deal with the issues; record unemployment, the nationalization of banks and auto industry, Obama’s historic government overreaching and most outrageous, his cramming ObamaCare down our throats against the will of 70% of Americans.
Race obsessed Obama-ites who persist on making all opposition to Obama a matter of race are the real racists. Tea party patriots will not be stifled or intimidated by their hate, accusations and dirty tricks. Come Tuesday, Obama’s anti-American socialist agenda is goin’ down!
For the record, the Republican Party was founded to end slavery. History reveals Democrats to be the true enemies of black Americans. The KKK was founded by Democrats to stop blacks from voting via intimidation. In the 50s, Democrats blocked the entrances of white schools to prevent integration by blacks. And, for the past 50 years, in their attempt to keep a monolithic black vote, democrats have despicably infected blacks with a victim-hood entitlement mindset.
Despite the highest office in America being held by a black man, unfortunately many blacks still view their lives from the “weak” position of believing America owes them something. Thank you, Democrats.
Black Democrats, come taste the refreshing sweet “tea” of freedom, liberation and respect offered to you by your fellow American brothers and sisters in the Tea Party Movement.
You’ve been drinking the poison Kool Aid from the liberal democrats for far too long. God bless.

AN OBAMA GREAT AWAKENING?

Speaking in Iowa in September, Sarah Palin said, “The need is great heading into these midterm elections. The needs are great because the cause is great. The cause? The Great Awakening of America! And the need? Truth in America.” . . . . “It’s We The People, the average, everyday, hardworking  American people —the Patriots who will turn this around. It’s the voters who will stop these leftist policies; this fundamental transformation of America. . . . It’s the Patriot who will restore America”

There is much to unpack there and, in the weeks ahead, I will. The point here is Palin just dropped into her speech, “[T]he Great Awakening of America. I have, with several friends, noticed, in these past months, a Great Awakening is underway. Perhaps David Barton at WallBuilders in Texas leads in understanding this. I will also be returning to this exciting occurrence on earth in the coming weeks.

But enjoy, with me, this posting by Stuart Schwartz (a favorite of mine), at the American Thinker. He wrote:

2. Dumb people ain’t so dumb. Thank you, Barack Obama —  results matter. Teleprompters and professional politicians are out; real people with real lives are in. Sarah Palin is dumb, Sharron Angle is stupid, and Rand Paul isn’t even smart enough to give a god a proper name (I mean, “Aqua Buddha“? C’mon — makes you long for the good ol’ days of Zeus, Apollo, and Ted, the last a progressive god who just made the journey down the River Styx). But Investor’s Business Daily praised Palin for the Tea Party revolution, even the Washington Post says Angle in Nevada is poised to take down the most powerful Democrat in the U.S. Senate, and Aqua Buddha will soon join John Kerry in that Mount Olympus of privilege, the U.S. Senate. Lindsey Graham: GOP Should Work With Obama

As Republicans prepare for their likely takeover of the House and possibly the Senate after next Tuesday’s elections, at least one prominent GOP legislator thinks the party should prepare to work with President Barack Obama. That’s Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, The Hill reports. He says Republicans should engage the president on issues such as an energy bill that doesn’t include cap and trade, Social Security, and job creation.

Rep. Joe Barton, the Ranking Member of the [House Energy and Commerce] Committee, faces a tenure limitation problem — the service limit Republicans impose on a member’s eligibility to be the ranking member or chairman of a committee expires this year. Thus, Rep. Fred Upton, currently the ranking member of the Energy and Environment subcommittee, is making a move for the chairmanship, and is considered the front-runner.

The problem is that Upton is not a conservative. His voting record leaves no doubt of this. For example, Upton was one of only three Republicans to oppose extending the Bush tax cuts. He also voted with the Democrats in their effort to make future tax cuts harder to pass. And he opposed Republican amendments to the stimulus bill which would have substituted tax cuts for stimulus money. Upton also voted against an amendment to cut $355 billion out of the stimulus legislation.

By the same token, Upton voted in favor of the Democrats’ $409 billion Ominbus Appropriations Act of 2009, which increased federal spending by 8.4 percent and gave President Obama $19 billion more than he had requested. Twenty Democrats voted against this Act, but (as Hubert Humphrey might have said) not Congressman Upton.

Upton’s record is also decidedly non-conservative when it comes to energy and environmental issues. He has voted consistently to place more federal land off limits to domestic energy production. He voted for a bill to eliminate 1.2 million acres from mineral leasing and energy exploration in Wyoming, thereby withdrawing an estimated 331 million barrels of recoverable oil and 8.8 trillion cubic feet of natural gas from domestic energy supply. In addition, Upton helped Democrats pass an omnibus energy bill that imposed new regulations on energy companies and created dozens of new government energy programs.

On the question of climate change, Upton is no skeptic. “Right or wrong,” he proclaimed in February 2009, “the debate over the modeling and science appears to be over.” Right or wrong?

Upton is also the co-author, along with liberal Democrat Jane Harmon, of the ban on incandescent light bulbs.

Now we must not let either of these plans happen. I’m not saying Senator Graham or Congressman Upton can be remade. Republicans must be remade in a way these men and other examples do not have their way in these specifics or more broadly.

We must write to Senator McConnell explaining We the People are not interested in compromising with Obama on energy, Social Security or job creation. And we must write Congressman Boehner with the message that the Energy and Commerce Committee must not be led by Congressman Upton. Indeed, all committee chairs must be committed to turning away from the Obama direction and listening to the voice of the people.

Update: The Senator Graham statement seems a perfect example of my “Vested Interest” post October 14th where I made a point that Republicans and Democrats come and go but vested interests stay. There can be no doubt, concerning the issues Senator Graham highlighted, He was listening to vested interests.

Update: On today’s program, Sean Hannity Chastised Senator Graham. “Let President Obama come to you,” Hannity said.

REMAKING THE REPUBLICANS: PART II

In Remaking the Republicans: Part I, I wrote:

There are powerful forces, special interests and identity groups in Washington to protect their turf and their entitled nipple on the national mother hog. November 2nd will not change that. Nor will the committee staffs change. Members of the House and Senators are used to that established system. Senators, especially, are many times closer to lobbyists than to We the People. Expect the job of cleaning up and refocusing the Republican Party to be a tough job. But it is not too early to start. The rest is HERE.

We have outstanding help, Rush Limbaugh. He was in the lead on my Part I post. There was a dust-up this week over House Republicans preparation to help furnish experienced staff to new incoming members. There was an uproar Monday. I pay no attention to Peggy Noonan, who is selling a book but normally is very elitist. Eric Erickson often is on target but also is often grinding his own axe. Tuesday Rush got involved. I think he, too, overreacted. I think he knew it. His broadside attack was purposeful.

“According to Roll Call, ‘[a] Republican aide confirmed leadership’s interest in having staff that works well with Boehner to move the agenda forward.’ And even better, the lobbyists and strategists are in on the act, as well — one lobbyist saying, ‘[y]ou want to be sure that the newbies, when they hit town, do not necessarily bring their campaign staff to run their Congressional offices, because in some cases they are totally ill-equipped.'”  Do you understand what this means?  You got all of these freshmen that are going to emerge victorious, the Republican leadership are saying, “Fine and dandy that you’ve won, but don’t bring your staff here.  We’ll staff you because your staff doesn’t know the ways and the workings and the intricacies, how things get done here in the House of Representatives.”  And this little bit of a red flag goes up.  The dirty little secret here is, if I may be so bold, the Republican Party has nothing to do with the Tea Party.  The Republican Party did not inspire the Tea Party.  The Republican Party kept its distance from the Tea Party at first.  The Republican Party has not inspired any of the ideas in the Tea Party.  I’m talking about Republican leadership.  It’s not universal.  There are some leaders that saw it early on and got involved with it, but the basic premise here is that it is the Tea Party that is causing the Republican Party to benefit.”  Read it all HERE.

This development is profoundly comforting because we now know there are several people with profound reach and influence who are on guard like us. Furthermore, if we know it, the Republican hierarchy clearly knows it.

I’m going to disagree with Rush on a couple points. The idea of finding an experiences staffer for each new Member is actually a good plan and will benefit incoming inexperienced staffs. Furthermore the Republican House leadership is very good and will move to this new reality quite quickly. Eric Cantor is a first class patriot.

I am very familiar with about 100 candidates and campaigns. Most of them did not rise up in the Tea Parties. Many, like Ron Johnson, in Wisconsin, were not Tea Party activists. Some are actually great citizens who have been serving in State legislatures. They all did respond like the activists and the rest of us to the destruction Obama-Reid-Pelosi reigned on America.

Finally, the Republican Party has made its infrastructure and money available to most of these campaigns. The Alaska and Delaware messes are notable exceptions. They demonstrate the Senate Republicans are far more problematic than the House.

The crowd breaks into the Pledge of Allegiance at the beginning of Wednesday night’s candidates forum with Illinois 8th Congressional District candidates Joe Walsh, Melissa Bean and Bill Scheurer at Grayslake Central High School.

One day it is NPR that does not seem to fit. (When Juan Williams was fired, Ann Coulter exclaimed, “I didn’t even know NPR was still around.”) The next day it is the League of Women Voters taken to task. I know, I love it too.

“AND THEY SHALL BE ONE FLESH”

RADICAL LEFTISTS AND ISLAMISM, THAT IS.

(Radical leftists include the Democrat party, the Academy and the old media, in other words, Progressivism; Islamism includes all Muslim voices promoting any aspect of Shariah law anywhere.)

And the “one flesh?” The first Muslim elected to Congress, Minnesota’s 5th District Congressman, Keith Ellison. I live in the adjoining Minnesota 3rd Congressional District, a perfectly good subject for a post sometime. The 5th is next door, Minneapolis.

Ellison is for

  • PEACE. In other (Code Pink) words, America capitulates to our enemies and sells out our friends.
  • PROSPERITY FOR WORKING FAMILIES. This covers every Progressive-Shariah scheme to take your property in the name of special interest identity groups. Of course this only works after successfully selling a belief that coveting and stealing is a virtue.
  • ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY. The method of choice for confiscating your work, your assets, your and your children’s future and your freedom.
  • CIVIL AND HUMAN RIGHTS. This is the Progressive-Islam subterfuge used to diminish your Liberty.

Keith Ellison. In him, the two are indeed one flesh. We have a walking, talking, conniver who will promote forcing elements of Shariah and homosexual “norming” in the same school, church or business at the same time. Schizophrenic, I know. Go here for a perfect example.

Well, Ellison has stepped up, in the name of “peaceful Islam,” to rage against Juan Williams and label him a bigot. Therefore, you and I are bigots.

Of course I profile. Of course we must act against Islamist terrror in America and across the world. We have seen 20,000 Islamist acts of terror in the world since 911. That is an average of 6 every day. Of course I stand against the aggressive push for Shariah we have right here in America.

As sincere as he clearly is, Dr. Jasser in Arizona is not the face of Islam in America, this man,

 Nehad Awad is. He is the executive director of the 911 co-conspirator Council on American-Islamic Relations. There is no doubt, the sharp pressure from CAIR caused NPR to summarily dismiss Juan Williams. There is no doubt Minnesota’s 5th District Progressive-Shariah Congressman, Keith Ellison is doing CAIR’s work.

GETTING JUAN

It is time to wade into the Juan Williams buzz. Here is what Juan said:

“Political correctness can lead to some kind of paralysis where you don’t address reality, Look, Bill, I’m not a bigot. But when I get on the plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous.”

 “The Times Square bomber said, ‘the war —America’s war— with Muslims is just beginning; the first drop of blood.’ I don’t think there is any way to get way from these facts.”

Juan was giving a fact that, although we know most Muslims we encounter in our daily lives are not going to commit terror, our guard is up, especially in, say, an airplane.

Scott Johnson, Friday, on the highly read and influential Power Line Blog, brought us the personal experience two notable journalists had with NPR .

My friend Katherine Kersten is a regular op-ed columnist for the Minneapolis Star Tribune. She writes in connection with the Juan Williams affair:

Interestingly, I received the same treatment from NPR —indeed, the very Ellen Weiss who gave Juan Williams his walking papers over the phone. Back in 1995-97 or so, I was a commentator for NPR’s “All Things Considered.” (All things?) I did a piece for them every couple months, as I recall.

At one point, I wrote a commentary about affirmative action; it focused in part on America in Black and White — Stephan and Abby Thernstrom’s then-new book on the subject. Abby told me that the piece would be the kiss of death for me, and I dismissed her warning. But it was accurate.

After I submitted the piece, I never heard again from Ellen Weiss, who had been my editor. I called her several times about when the piece would run, but got no response. Finally, a secretary (as I recall) informed me that NPR would send me a check but wouldn’t be using the piece. That was the end of my career with NPR. I was dropped like a stone, and never given an explanation why.

Boston Globe columnist Jeff Jacoby writes with a word on the Juan Williams affair:

Before NPR’s disgraceful treatment of Juan Williams, there was NPR’s disgraceful treatment of Steven Emerson, one of the world’s foremost experts on the threat from Islamist terrorism. In 1998 I learned that NPR —in response to pressure from Islamist extremists— had blackballed Emerson from appearing on its airwaves.

When I broke the story in the Boston Globe, NPR denied that it ever blackballed anyone. Yet Emerson was still being kept off the air three years later —i.e., after 9/11, when everyone could see just how prescient his warnings had been.

In the current uproar over Juan Williams’ firing, I thought it might be good to recall that when it comes to ultra-PC genuflecting to Islamist sensibilities, NPR is a repeat offender.

There are so many important issues here:

  • Political correctness must be addressed in America. It keeps us from the truth.
  • Islam paralyzes, in fear, almost all regular media. They never give us the truth about Islam. NPR is the current and a prime example.
  • Public funding? Through the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, you and every productive American is paying for the willful failure of NPR to face and report the truth.
  • The $1,800,000 grant NPR just received from one of the world’s truly evil men, George Soros. (Soros also just gave a one million dollar grant to Media Matters, the hard left smear operation created nearly ten years ago by Soros himself and Mrs. Clinton. The stated purpose, destroy Fox News.)
  • The principle power that has created or enabled or allowed the above bullets is the Democrat party. We must turn them out of office.

Every one of those bullets will be the focus of our (We the People) work in the coming years. The important thing now is to influence every clear thinking patriot to vote November 2nd. We must turn the Democrats out.

Juan? Don’t worry about him. He landed on his feet and will be a more dynamic force in America. You see Juan has found a freedom he really hadn’t believed was available to him. Juan will never go back to the plantation again.

REMAKING THE REPUBLICANS: PART I

For Weeks I have included this line in my daily email to “patriots” across America:

“We the People” ~A force to turn the Democrats out and turn the Republicans inside out!

Well, we are clear about turning the Democrats out. What about turning the Republicans inside out? Simple. The Republican Party is the only viable vehicle and rational choice through which we reclaim and restore Constitutional government and America (Liberty) herself. But the Republican Party needs to be cleaned up and refocused.

There are powerful forces, special interests and identity groups in Washington to protect their turf and their entitled nipple on the national mother hog. November 2nd will not change that. Nor will the committee staffs change. Members of the House and Senators are used to that established system. Senators, especially are many times closer to lobbyists than to We the People. Expect the job of cleaning up and refocusing the Republican Party to be a tough job. But it is not too early to start.

I believe we had an early prime example Tuesday. Stories were flying about Republican leaders planning ways to find “middle ground” with Obama. It “leaked” that they were not planning to repeal and replace Obamacare.

Blowback started immediately! A prime location of the blowback was Rush on his program.

Backpedaling started immediately. A denial from Senator McConnell came quickly. And, Congressman Issa of California called Rush’s show. As you may guess, Issa was anxious to find language that would satisfy Rush and therefore, We the People —and he did!

Wednesday evening on Fox, Hannity, making his introduction, characterized Senator Jim DeMint as “Revolutionizing the Republican Party.” DeMint did not deny the characterization. Furthermore, he declared the movers to reverse the direction of America aren’t so much himself but, yes, the Tea Parties —but more than that, “the American people” (We the People). DeMint went on, “We (Republicans) have got to be the party of limited Constitutional Government.” Senator DeMint, in the 7 minute Hannity interview said everything you and I say, and in many ways, did it better. We have reason to be excited indeed this 21st day of October, 2010.

AN AMERICAN TURNING POINT

Today marks the 229th anniversary . . .

. . . of the surrender of Cornwallis at Yorktown, Maryland, October 19th 1781. Did the War of Independence end that day? No, but the outcome was assured. Here is a good summary (from Wikipedia):

In London, as political support for the war plummeted after Yorktown, Prime Minister Lord North resigned in March 1782. In April 1782, the Commons voted to end the war in America. Preliminary peace articles were signed in Paris at the end of November, 1782; the formal end of the war did not occur until the Treaty of Paris and Treaties of Versailles were signed on September 3, 1783. The last British troops left New York City on November 25, 1783, and the United States Congress of the Confederation ratified the Paris treaty on January 14, 1784.

The British decision to surrender came very quickly, only a few weeks after the news got back to Europe. Because they actively fought alongside the Americans, the French and their allies were involved in the negotiations.

Did you notice the Treaty of Paris was ratified by the United States Congress of Confederation? It was clear as much as five years earlier the government was too weak to function. A stronger government must be established. It is right to celebrate on this day the achievement of independence in fact. It is also essential to notice the Americans who fought for more than six years were never fighting for each State or Commonwealth to “go it alone.” Look again:

We the People  of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

It is clear, “We the People of the United States . . . do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.” Do not buy a book promoting the idea that there is somehow a right of secession. Our fathers, who wrote and ratified the Constitution, never had in mind that States could go their own way.

You say you heard that Jefferson himself was quoted (some twenty years later) saying if people want to leave, it is fine with him. I can actually find the Jefferson quote, but the source is always suspect. Jefferson is actually the forefather who, as President acted boldly to realize his vision of a great continental country. He is also the first President to project American power. Jefferson took us to war in the Mediterranean against the Barbary states (Islamist jihad, you know) in 1805. We won.
