Like George Will, I’ll offer my view of the likely field of Republican candidates for president. It is the deepest strongest field of candidates in any party in my lifetime. Today is my first post on my choice for 2016, Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin.
Let’s begin with the question, is Governor running? National Journal’s Tom Alberta sees little doubt that Governor Walker is running:
In a 35-minute speech here at the Republican National Committee’s winter meeting [in Coronado, CA], the governor mentioned the name of his home state no fewer than two dozen times—and referenced “our state” or “my state” on at least 30 other occasions.
It all fed into the contrast Walker is eager to strike. While President Obama’s Washington, Walker says, is spending big, expanding the federal bureaucracy, and taking a “top-down” attitude to governance, Wisconsin has cut costs, shrunk the size of government, and adopted a “bottom-up” approach.
Walker’s speech left little doubt that he will run for president in 2016. And it foreshadowed a messaging strategy that will portray his record in Wisconsin—sweeping conservative reforms validated by three electoral victories in four years—as a model for the Republican Party, and for the nation.
“I’m worried about my country just like I was worried about my state back in 2009,” Walker said, recalling his decision to seek the governorship and his plans to get the state back on the right track.
Walker, speaking Thursday night, itemized a laundry list of conservative policy achievements that he said have strengthened Wisconsin: defeating organized labor, eliminating teacher tenure, securing $2 billion in tax relief, strengthening anti-abortion measures, implementing voter ID, and protecting concealed carry laws, among others.
“Just about everything you can dream of,” he said.
Since winning reelection in November, Walker has been maneuvering deliberately into position for a presidential bid. He recently hired former RNC Political Director Rick Wiley to manage his campaign, which is expected to launch in the next two months.
I wrote about Governor Walker and the restoration achieved in Wisconsin frequently early in 2011 with items such as this:
The citizens of Wisconsin and their representatives courageously took the first step. Governor Walker signed the landmark legislation into law Friday. That there are miles to go for them doesn’t matter. They are on their way. The “Ship Wisconsin” is under the firm hand and clear mind of Governor Scott Walker.
Real Clear Politics writes that Governor Walker will not be among the top two or three candidates in early polls but he is likely to be the most often mentioned number 2. An unnamed GOP strategist said, “[B]eing No. 2 is not a bad place to be.” In other words, as other candidates, either above or below Governor Walker in the polls, falter and quite, Governor Walker will get most of their supporters. No question governor is in a position to be enthusiastically supported by the Tea Parties and he will be acceptable to the Republican establishment as well. Here is more of RCP on Walker:
Walker’s take-no-prisoners approach with unions over collective bargaining rights catapulted him onto the national stage. He survived an expensive recall election in 2012 that put him on the map of possible presidential contenders and won re-election in November by six points—running as a conservative in a state that has chosen the Democratic candidate for president since 1984.
“He’s been through the fire. The recall was as much a national election” as it was a state referendum, says Tim Miller of America Rising, an opposition research firm that helped Republican candidates like Walker in the 2014 election.
While Walker is well known for the union fight, he is known among activists as a conservative Christian who signed concealed-carry legislation in Wisconsin and pushed the legislature to repeal Common Core standards. Walker is also directing his attorney general to file a lawsuit over federal energy regulations he said would hurt manufacturing. He is pitching himself as a leader with battle-tested skills who can effectively manage the government while advancing conservative principles.
He has my support because he brings the knowledge, wisdom and experience to take on the task of beginning Constitutional restoration of our Federal Government. Just as important, he has the Character. I encourage you to consider joining me is active support of Governor Walker. When he has formed a legal vehicle to support a candidacy, I’ll give you a heads up.

We are going to use the term “jihad” regularly here as we face and address the “religious war” that has been declared against us—a war we must engage and win. Americans would need to go back in history to the War Between the States to find a task as daunting as the one we face today. So what does jihad mean? Muslim spokesmen and Progressive sympathizers, like President Obama, continually give many definitions of jihad in order to obfuscate. Here is the best working definition I have found:
Jihad is the perpetual war to convert the “abode of war” (i.e. non-Muslim areas) to the “abode of Islam.”
The vast majority of the world’s Muslims are actively engaged either in jihad or in some form of support of jihad.
The universal Islamic goal is for the entire world to be subjected to Islam. This universal subjugation is what is referred to peace. This is the thought when we are told Islam is a religion of peace.
Muslims are conducting jihad against America (the abode of war) in courts, in schools, through religious (especially ecumenical) gatherings, in all national and local media, in all entertainment venues, throughout social media and more. And oh, yes—jihad is coming at us in every form of terrorist violence. Americans must quickly come to know and understand this. We are down for the fight and will help here at The Patriot’s Trumpet.
I used the Jesus-Muhammad phrase here yesterday. Over the coming weeks we will examine this dead prophet and his religion as the world seems to cower before the present Islamist Jihad. Historic sources on Muhammad and Islam are not nearly as reliable as the historic sources on God, the Holy Bible, Judaism and Christianity. Without exception I will use sources that I have comfort with.
Allah is not the God of the Holy Bible
Today let’s learn how Allah became the god of Islam. Let us say that again. Allah did not choose Muhammad, Muhammad chose Allah. Here is the story as told at The History of Jihad (choice of capitalization is theirs):
Pre-Islamic Bedouin Arab society was highly matriarchal as is evident from the worship of many goddesses like Allat, Al Uzza, Mannat. But Arab society had strong patriarchal elements too, as evident in the naming tradition according to which every Arab is known by his father’s name, and not his mother’s.
Having lost his father, the posthumous orphan Mohammed wanted to perpetuate his father’s memory. His father’s name Abdallah was conjugated from Abd-Allah which translates as “Slave of Allah”. This is the reason why Mohammed chose Allah among the many pre-Islamic Arab deities to be the only deity to be worshipped by the Muslims! Not many historians have discerned this fact why it was allah who became the centerpiece of Islam and not any other pre-Islamic Arab male deity like Bēl, Bēl-Šamīn, Abgal, Aglibol, Wadd, and Yaghūth (the last two are in fact referred to in the Qur’an (71:23) as gods of the era of the Prophet Noah).
Even Baal (alternatively known as Hubal) who in fact was the most important deity in pre-Islamic Mecca, found no place in Islam. Only Allah survived in Mohammed’s Islam. So Allah did not choose Mohammed, it was the other way round. Mohammed chose Allah! Allah was chosen by Mohammed as his father was named after allah! Some historians identify Hubal and allah to be the same deity. But, to the best of our knowledge, no historians have discerned this fact why it was allah who became the centerpiece of Islam.
So Muhammad, who is dead, chose Allah, among all the Arab false gods, to be the one god of Islam. It is important to know, since Muhammad is dead, is Allah, the God he picked, alive? If you determine that Allah lives you must have absolute clarity that this is not the living God of heaven and light; the creator and sustainer of all creation. This Allah, if a living god, is the god of some other place.
It seems people are stridently and rapidly turning from God across America. The damage the Obama administration has done to the government as it outlawed God is incalculable—but Jesus is walking in America. A secular celebration of Christmas happens in more than half the homes—but Jesus is walking in America. Most are aware that God is not welcome on most university campuses—but Jesus is walking in America.
Methodist founded Duke University is a great example of God being not welcome (just too embarrassing) on campus. The great Gothic Chapel was turned into an “ecumenical facility” by the enlightened administration at Duke years ago. Now the University announced yesterday they will transform the bell tower on the cathedral into a minaret! Yes the announcement said the Islamic call to prayer will be broadcast each Friday morning from the cathedral bell tower.

Remember Jesus is walking in America and Muhammad is dead. Yesterday Dr. Franklin Graham took Duke to task on his Facebook page where he wrote:
“Duke announced today that they will have a Muslim call to prayer from their chapel bell tower every Friday. As Christianity is being excluded from the public square and followers of Islam are raping, butchering, and beheading Christians, Jews, and anyone who doesn’t submit to their Sharia Islamic law, Duke is promoting this in the name of religious pluralism. I call on the donors and alumni to withhold their support from Duke until this policy is reversed.”
Did I mention Jesus is walking in America and Muhammad is dead?
“[A]fter announcing that Islamic students would be broadcasting a weekly call to prayer from the Duke Chapel bell tower, Duke University officials abandoned that plan Thursday, citing the furor the move had created.”
In a January 2, 2015 report of top concerns Americans said they faced in 2014, Gallup saw it as a “Cluster of Concerns ([that] vie for Top U.S. Problem in 2014” Let’s see if it really is a “cluster.” I disagree!
Here are the problems that got at least a 2% mention by Americans in this Gallup table.
You can see the “cluster” is Government —, Economy, Unemployment/Jobs very close together and Healthcare not far behind. But take a closer look. Government is 18%. But unemployment/jobs and healthcare are concerns directly caused by government. Add them all up; they account for 43 of the top 60%.
Look at concerns either caused of exacerbated by government, immigration 8%, federal debt/deficit 6%, ethics/moral decline 5%, Education 4%, poverty/homelessness 4% gap between rich and poor 3%, race relations 3%, lack of money 3%, lack of respect for others 2%, judicial system 2%, wage issues 2% and national security 2%. This is another 46% either caused of exacerbated by government.
Many of these “issues” are not caused exclusively by government. Let’s apply the song “…… let it begin with me.”
Let there be respect for others and let it begin with me.
Let there be better race relations and let it begin with me.
Let me have more money and let me take action—you get the idea.
The bottom line is eliminating most government would reduce or eliminate most problems for Americans and the country.
War is misconstrued as a problem. If we are attacked by someone whether it be the emperor of Japan or this present Islamic Jihad, we are at war. We fight. We win.
We waste huge amounts of foreign aid but focus overseas is not a problem; it is Americas DNA!
Today, Rick Moran wrote at The American Thinker, “To combat Islam’s poor PR recently, Muslim leaders from across America will hold a Stand With the Prophet in Honor and Respect conference in Dallas on Saturday. The forum will try to counter what they call ‘Islamophobes’ in America who have spread hate toward Muslims around the world.”
It was also reported today shows that President Obama’s favorite world leader, Turkey’s President Recep Erdoğan, belongs at center stage in Dallas Saturday. Erdoğanm according to Power Lines John Hinderaker “disgraced himself with these bigoted ramblings:”
“French citizens carry out such a massacre, and Muslims pay the price,” Erdogan said yesterday.
“That’s very meaningful … Doesn’t their intelligence organisation track those who leave prison?
Games are being played with the Islamic world, we need to be aware of this.
“The West’s hypocrisy is obvious. As Muslims, we’ve never taken part in terrorist massacres.
Behind these lie racism, hate speech and Islamophobia,” Erdogan added.
Erdogan also denounced Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for attending a solidarity rally in France on Sunday with other world leaders after the Paris attacks. “How can a man who has killed 2,500 people in Gaza with state terrorism wave his hand in Paris, like people are waiting in excitement for him to do so? How dare he go there?” he said.
President Obama’s team was right in line with his pal Erdogan and the American Muslim leaders. Attorney General Eric Holder reaffirmed the line the Obama Regime has held to for six years declaring on Meet the Press January 11, “[W]e are at war with terrorists who commit these heinous acts and who use Islam, use a corrupted version of Islam, to justify their actions.”
Our government has at least one voice that stands for truth. Last week, on the Hugh Hewitt radio show, Senator Lindsey Graham said “I think the President of the United States is undercutting the President of Egypt. We’re in a religious war. These are not terrorists. They’re radical Islamists who are trying to replace our way of life with their way of life. Their way of life is motivated by religious teachings that require me and you to be killed, or enslaved, or converted. The President of the United States tip-toes around the threat we face, and he is trying to diminish the religious aspect of this war.”
We reported here yesterday that the Islamic world has at least one government leader who stands for truth, Egyptian President al-Sisi. If you missed this critically important report, I urge you to study it now.

Egyptian President Sisi had virtually and functionally declared a revolution of light against darkness in Islam!
Perhaps you hadn’t heard of Egyptian president Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. He has been in power only a few months. Perhaps you only remember the “Arab Spring” in Egypt. Before we get to President al-Sisi, Let’s have a quick review of President Obama and the Arab Spring.
Wahhabi and Muslim Brotherhood have sewn or fermented resentment across the Sunni Middle East and supported international terrorism for at least four decades. The Obama government had been looking for a way to “establish democracy” in Middle Eastern countries since coming to power in 2009. A vendor, who had his cart ransacked by government thugs in Tunisia, burned himself to death in January 2011. It was the opportunity Obama was looking for. He threw certain somewhat clandestine U.S. operatives and support behind revolution in Libya and Egypt as well as Tunisia.
Libyan dictator Gaddafi was able to resist U.S. backed al Qaeda linked forces. In Egypt, the U.S. was backing what seemed to be a popular uprising led by Facebook’s top Middle East man, Wael Ghonim, an Egyptian national who conceived and built a Facebook network of disaffected mostly young Egyptians. Within two weeks he had 400,000 in the network and the Tahrir Square demonstration erupted January 25, 2011. About three weeks later Mubarak was gone, the Egyptian army was running the country and 1 million “pro-democracy” demonstrators gathered at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Tahrir Square. Google man Ghonim, went to Egypt take his place as the leader of this popular uprising. He did not get within a block of the platform. He was shut off by a squad working for the intellectual and spiritual leader of the Muslin Brotherhood, banned Sheikh Yusuf al Qaradawi who returned to Egypt to claim victory for the MB and Allah.
In little more than a year Muslin Brotherhood political leader Mohamed Morsi was elected a new president of a civilian government that would soon have a “constitution.” The Muslim Brotherhood now ruled Egypt. President Obama and the American government swung into action and delivered billions in aid and several new jet fighters.
Shariah law was now strictly enforced in Egypt and the government stood by as Coptic churches were burned and Christians were slaughtered. Israel was declared enemy number 1 and the American government stood silently by. But Egyptians were hardly ready for living under a Shariah dictatorship. Little more than a year later demonstrations reached a level that paralyzed the country. Morsi was driven from office. The military restored order and governed the country until early summer last year when the government was turned over to civilian rule. General Abdel Fattah el-Sisi was elected president.
This development and President Sisi was not welcomed by the Obama regime. American aid dried up. Now little more than six months later, President Sisi has declared a revolution of modernization and cooperation never imagined.
President el-Sisi spoke at al-Azhar University in Cairo to a gathering of top Egyptian Imams and Islamic scholars New Years day.
Ben Barrak writing at Shoebat.com declared, “If you had to name a university in the world that is ground zero for Islamic fundamentalist teaching, Al-Azhar University in Egypt would certainly qualify.” Remember this is the place President Obama chose to make his surrender to Islam in 2009.
Al-Sisi courageously challenged the very core beliefs of those scholars when he implied it was a ridiculous notion that 1.6 billion Muslims should murder 5.4 billion non-Muslims. Barrak reported el-Sisi drew a line of distinction between religion and ideology when it comes to Islam saying his speech was a diplomatic assault on Muslim fundamentalism from the heart of his country’s source of such thinking. Then incredibly, and even more courageously, last Wednesday, January 7, He visited St. Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Cathedral to observe their celebration of Christmas where he saluted Pope Tawadros II and spoke to the congregation. St Mark’s would be like the Roman Catholic Vatican for Coptic Orthodox Christians. Michael Antaki has reported this event at The American Thinker. Please read it all. Make no mistake Jesus was walking in that Cathedral and this man stepped right in front of the worldwide Caliphate and millions are outraged. He desperately needs a U.S. president to stand with him. There is none. It seems, Muslim though he is, he desperately needs your Christian or Jewish prayers.

PART II Francis the Pope of the fake science, apparently for the purpose of international redistribution.
According to Catholic online, “This March, following a visit to the Philippines, Pope Francis will publish an encyclical on the environment that insiders say will tackle the issue of global warming head on.” Some “head on” points the Pope is reported to make include:
He hopes to “chagrin conservatives in the U.S. who generally believe that global warming is a hoax.”
He hopes the encyclical to show the Church “is concerned with Truth, not political preferences.”
He hopes to show “American political conservatives that Pope Francis defies all attempt to label him as one thing or another. He is neither conservative, nor liberal, but he is Catholic.”
“The coming encyclical is informed by the Vatican’s Pontifical Academy of Sciences, the world’s single-longest running scientific mission. The institution has already affirmed that global warming is real and a threat to people around the world, especially in developing nations.”
“The cause is also beyond doubt. Humans are dumping quantities of CO2 into the atmosphere faster than nature can absorb it, leading to global warming.”
If this were not the leader of the Roman Catholic Church it would be funny. The “world’s single-longest running scientific mission” should permanently shut its doors. Why would the Bishop of Rome want to chagrin anyone outside of the Church or within? Since there is no scientific evidence to support either “scientific” claim in the bullets above, it is sad to read, the Pope hopes the encyclical to show the Church “is concerned with Truth.” The Church should be the leading proponent of Truth in the world. Jesus said, “I am the Truth.” The claim the encyclical is concerned with Truth sadly makes the Pope and the Church look ridicules—either inept or ignorant or both. Or worse, the Pope is knowingly promoting a lie and calling it Truth in the name of Jesus! This is tragic!
Equally tragic is the attempt to “defy all attempts to label him as one thing or another. He is neither conservative, nor liberal, but he is Catholic.” If the encyclical is as represented in the article, the more accurate labels would be liar, Marxist, enemy of Christ! I cannot imagine how this could be more disastrous and sad.
To do all I can each day for as long as I can to help ensure that my grandchildren’s children have the same opportunity and Liberty my generation has enjoyed, to the glory of God.
