President Obama was told about the invitation from Speaker Boehner to Prime Minister Netanyahu before it was made public. So the anti-Semites in the White House chose to throw a childish tantrum. “What,” you say, “I hadn’t heard that.” No, you would have to read the fine print in every New York Times to discover such a thing. Mr. Lasky uncovered the entire story of a vile tyrant in the American White house making a play to eliminate Prime Minister Netanyahu and, they clearly hope, weaken Israel before her enemies. Here is the core of Mr. Lasky’s investigation (the links below are his):
In 2011, Boehner sent a notice to the WH stating his intention to invite Netanyahu to speak before a joint session of Congress. The White House never responded (spite? incompetence?) and Boehner proceeded to extend the invitation to Netanyahu. Netanyahu accepted the invitation and spoke. The White House did not express any outrage in 2011. That was before the 2012 reelection, of course, so Obama did not want to run the risk of losing any support.
But that was then and this is now. And as Barack Obama has reminded us, he will never be on a ballot again so he can do whatever he wants now and go “full Bulworth,” as he told close aides he wanted to do in his second term.
Boehner clearly assumed the same series of events was occurring when the White House failed to respond this time to the notice given to the White House before he sent an invite to Netanyahu. (Hat Tip: CJL and LR).
The White House deliberately created this “crisis” to impugn Netanyahu and undercut support for him and Israel. No less than Senator Harry Reid blamed this diplomatic faux paus entirely on Boehner and Netanyahu for undercutting support for Israel among Democrats. The media, or much of it, has been relentlessly attacking Israel over a lie promoted by people in the administration. (Read the rest)
The report that anti-Semite Obama-affiliated; State Department funded organizations and operatives are working to defeat Likud and Prime Minister Netanyahu is accurate. But now it appears to be backfiring. Thomas Lifson reported yesterday; also in the American Thinker:
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud Party reached the top spot in a Panels Research poll taken for The Jerusalem Post and its Hebrew sister newspaper, Ma’ariv Sof Hashavua, on Thursday for the first time since Labor and Hatnua joined forces on December 10 to create the Zionist Union.
This is not accidental. Prime Minister Netanyahu and Likud are not timid wallflowers. They are acting. Let’s pick the story up as I reported January 27:
Haaretz reporter Roi Arad revealed in an article in the Hebrew edition today [January 26] that the foreign funded organization, “One Voice”, is bankrolling the V-2015 campaign to defeat Binyamin Netanyahu’s national camp in the March 2015 Knesset Elections.
Mr. Lifson continues:
Likud petitioned the Central Elections Committee on Wednesday for an order barring campaigning by the V15 organization, after Haaretz earlier this week reported on the organization’s efforts to replace the Likud-led government.
V15, which stands for Victory 2015, is partnering with the pro-peace organization OneVoice. Its goal is to recruit thousands of volunteers who will go door to door before the election to persuade as many as one million people to vote to change the government.
To this end, it hired Jeremy Bird, the national field director of U.S. President Barack Obama’s 2012 campaign, to organize its efforts.
The Likud petition argued that V15 – which it termed an “extreme left-wing organization” – was indirectly campaigning on behalf of Likud’s rivals, Zionist Camp and Meretz, thereby circumventing campaign-finance restrictions imposed by law.
Specifically, the petition said, the organization “is making criminal use of anonymous foreign funding in extremely large amounts.” The petition also demanded that V15 reveal its funding sources. (Read the rest)
This is exciting news! Yes, it is clear that the Israeli left is as lawless as Obama, Harry Reid and the rest of the American left. But, it is equally clear that Prime Minister Netanyahu and Likud is not going to lay down and be rolled. Our members of Congress, Governors and candidates on the American right must be equally vigilant and resolved.
One more thing. This and other critical issues of our time are clearly characterized by light and darkness. The more accurate distinction would be right and wrong not right and left.
